Dude, I've been legitimately excited for Game Builder Garage for weeks now. This game will definitely be a good stepping stone into programming and will encourage and stimulate future generations of game programmers. So, it's really awesome that Nintendo made this.

I'd highly recommend an old game building tool called Scratch. It's geared towards a younger audience, but I don't know if this has any features other than sharing, that are more than what Scratch had.

Same. We saw the trailer yesterday and they were interested. When they saw DGR playing it they were beyond excited. That’s all it took for me to download it immediately. Now my 11 year old just ran to clean his room because mom told him he has to before he can play it, and he wants to be the first to post a game code!

@@logicalfundy Yeah but SMM2's search system was so annoying at points with mygarage.games you can just flat out search for things based off title and they have tabs like the newest games similar to Mario maker plus better than Mario maker you can share trailers and screenshots from your game for other people to view likely in the future they'll add a like and dislike system of some kind and also less crappy stuff is going to show up here compared to Mario maker since it takes more effort its not much effort but its still effort and why go through the trouble of pulling up the website and making an account to share games on if your only gonna upload a crappy game! It just works better this way! Its less work for Nintendo & we get a much better searching and sharing system and lets face it everyone has some kinda connection to the internet nowadays!

The collision was fine -- the trouble was the balls were able to move in the third dimension, so sometimes they were able to hit you but other times they passed in front of or behind you. There might be separate 2D and 3D versions of those Nodons, or maybe it's a setting you can change.

From the upload screen is see there’s a limit of 512 nodes and 1024 connections. So, you’re not making anything super complicated, but a fair amount of stuff should be possible in that.

You know what? I am going to get it. I never got around to making a level in MM2, I own like 20 games that I want to play but never get around to playing, and I don't know if I am actually really going to get into this game builder but I am willing to give it a shot. Creating games is something that I would probably enjoy. If I come up with an idea on a game that I would want to make I would enjoy trying to figure out how to make it work according to the vision I come up with in my head. I like creating massive builds in Minecraft survival so if I can come up with a project to work on I think I can put in the work and enjoy doing it all the same.

The game is not at all like Mario Maker 2. Levelhead is Mario Maker on steroids, though. GrandPooBear's words. I don't know why DGR doesn't take an interest in that game. You can search specifically for troll levels for one thing, and it has a lot of other quality of life improvements Nintendo should take note of.
