Hi Vicky, thank you for another wonderful video. The new collection is lovely and I do highly recommend the Scan N Cut. You don't mind fussy cutting, but I sure do. The Scan N Cut has really been an extremely useful tool that has allowed me to do projects I wouldn't have bothered with because of time consuming fussy cutting. The machine is easy to learn and the CanvasWorks software is surprisingly well done. I have used the software to convert an enormous amount of .WPC designs I had for my Pazzels machine to work with the Scan N Cut. The Pazzels machine ended up being donated because I no longer used it after purchasing the Scan N Cut. I do hope you make the decision to get a Scan N Cut and can't wait to see what projects you create with the device.

Ephemera with a matching backside has my interest peaked. I really do not need any more pads, but this idea is perfect for acetate cards. I could sandwich the ephemera between 2 acetate windows so that I would not have to use glue or tape on them. They can be suspended between the 2 panes inside a card frame. Or create a little garden scene inside a pouch and laminate it, then frame out the laminated garden scene for a card front. And the price for the pad is reasonable.

I got stamps from your 1st collection with the cups and tea pot. The papers are so perfect, I'm going to need an intervention to make myself cut them and use them like I want to. I have a Brother Scan n Cut. I LOVE IT. It is so helpful for cutting out stamped images or images like you used here. It doesn’t need a black outline to follow, but does need a solid image. If you have a broken line I use a pencil to fill in the space, & then erase after it’s cut out. I would recommend watching some videos from Papered Chef. (It may be Paper Chef). She shares SO MUCH on the scan n cut, from very basic to very high tech. Beautiful card! I love how you created such a beautiful, layered scene. Always a joy to watch your videos Vicky. Thank you!

Brilliant! I LOVE how you've designed the cutouts so both sides are the same. "Game-Changer" is the perfect description for this! No more choosing which side you want!!! I ordered this paper pack (waiting for it to arrive) but somehow missed the pages of cutouts? I'll go back and review the description and verify whether or I not I need to order these. I love scan and cut. I almost gave up on it. So glad I didn't I have cut tons of images with it. One thing any open areas you need to close with a pencil line that you can erase Later. I haven't mastered cutting inside areas yet. Check out papered chef on the tube. She gives some good tips. Love your products, and videos of journal pages and cards. One other tip, mat of S&c rots, I use low tackle tape butchered are other tips out there.

Hi Vicky, this card is so cute and EASY! You’ll want to invest in the Brother Scan ‘n Cut once you’ve seen the tutorial posted by Nichol Spohr a few months ago. It’s on KZbin titled Scan ‘n Cut Patterned Paper Images (Simon Says Stamp Easter 2023 LImited Edition Card Kit). She has great success with it and shows exactly how to do it. I had also saved a video by Papered Chef showing how to cut outside and inside images that she stamped. I’ve had the Scan ‘n Cut for years but have not opened the box. However, I’ve been wanting to use it ever since I saw one of your videos with Chickoo & Friends. I bought that collection and ended up doing a lot of fussy cutting. At first I was intimidated by the Scan n Cut but not at all after seeing Nichol’s tutorial. Now I just don’t have the time to play. When I do, your Welcome Home collection is at the top of my list! ❤

Have a Scan n cut. Iam happy with it but iam sometimes struggling with it too. Not all collectable pads will work. Savana e.g. has soft background images than it does not work. Your pads are with white background so i think those will cut out perfect. Love this card. I think you can do amazing things with a Scan n Cut. I made my own stencil and it works fine, so it also brings lots of other opportunities for your creativity.

OMG! I gotta have that Collectables paper pad! That is so cool! ❤ I have a Brother Scan-N-Cut and absolutely love it. I bought the CM350 model because I already had a Circuit and wasn't sure if I was going to like the Scan-N-Cut. Now that I know better I wish I had gone for the CM650 because even though it's more money it has double the amount of pre-stored images and I think that's worth it. However, you can scan in your own images and store them as well. You can also flip images around every which way, increase or decrease the size and print them, then, of course cut them out. Think of all the stamps, computer and hand drawn images you can scan into the machine, alter, print and cut out! So many options! And so much easier to use than the Circuit and such. 🤫 Now Brother has other models out like a wireless version but I don't know about those. I saw a used CM350 on eBay and you can still get new CM650's which are still fabulous. I did notice an SDX350 Innovis Edition that's $699. But for that price, it better do the dishes, too! 😂

Hi Vicky! ADORABLE Card!!! I love my Brother ScanNCut that I have used to cut out a gozillion stamped images that I mostly use in my Art Journals. I wasn’t successful cutting out from the traditional Stamperia paper pads but I will experiment with a sheet of your collectibles and let you know the results. The biggest thing is you have to have closed lines around an image or it doesn’t know what to do. It does pretty well at cutting on the line or you can chose to have a border around the image. There is an old Scan-n-cut trick where you use a pencil and lightly trace over the low contrast images and then erase the lines after. Hope this helps!

@@vickyp Hi, Vicky… I had a chance to get out my Brother ScanNCut and try again to cut out Stamperia images… I did not have much success even with the settings using color instead of black & white… I was able to mostly get one of the windows cut out although it chopped off part of the shutter… The problem, in my opinion, is that the background gets in the way even though it’s subtle. I even tried to pencil around one of the kittens but the machine didn’t differentiate it from the crackle faintly printed in the background. Hopefully you might find a video from someone smarter than me that knows other settings that I haven’t figured out. As far as stamped images, it normally works pretty well… after not having success cutting out the Collectables, I tried stamping a few images but the sketchy edges and quality of the stamps just didn’t want to work tonight… sometimes… fussy cutting is actually quicker than making the machine be smart enough to understand the images. Sorry that I didn’t have a successful outcome for you. In theory, it would be amazing if it worked. Have a wonderful week! 🙂

A great card idea with your wonderful collection. I love my Silhouette Cameo 4 with the PixScan cutting mat. You can easily load the designs into Silhouette Studio and then put cutting borders around the designs. It works great. Even with spaces in between. However, for some designs it is quicker to use scissors.

I bought a scan and cut and it was a waste of money. The amt lost it's stickyness and the cutter tore the paper. I bought a new balde and it still didn't work. I have one friend who had the same experience as me and another who thinks it's absolutely wonderful.

So glad you showed us this. Genius. I bought the die cuts, but if I had known these were double-sided, I would have bought them as well. So I guess I'm going to spend some more money. I love your new lines with stamperia. I do have a scan and cut. It's an older model I've had for five or six years. My only advice is that since it's a little expensive, make sure that you need it and will use it once you purchase it. Like everything else that's new, plan to spend some time experimenting. The sticky mat can lose its taciness so I use additional low tack tape to hold paper in place. 😁❤
