@@rickylyon3846 You can't be bad at a game because "it requires your full attention" and shit on it the whole time for being too easy and Arin does that constantly. While also being constantly lost on what to do AND constantly skipping any dialogue that would explain it to him. You can't berate a game for holding your hand too much while also being constantly lost because you keep skipping any and all explanations. It's not even Arin's lack of skill (although there is something to be said about it), it's his hypocricy (spelling?) and unwillingness to learn that makes it frustrating.

I couldn't finish the playthrough on the grumps channel. Arin just had too much baggage with this game. It's always hard to watch him fumble or straight up shit on a game you love. I always look forward to your supercuts :)

I have to agree. He just likes to be challanged or be able to do it himself or go where ever he wants. Legend of Zelda series (besides the 2D Era and breath of the wild) is just not his idea of a fun game and I respect that. But he complains so much and craps on other peoples positive opinions about this series of games. I feel like he can't see how other people could possibly enjoy it because he's so freaking passionate about his own opinions. I'm really tired of him using phrases like and to quote him from Skyward Sword playthrough, "How could YOU not hate this?! I don't care how positive you are! I don't care if you were like 7 and this was your magical Christmas! Look at it! Its Awful!" Granted he was fighting the imprisioned when he said this; Which I think everyone can agree is the absolute worst thing about that game. But as for the rest of it. Skyward sword was not only the first Zelda game I finished, its the first game in general that I was able to complete. I love the story, I love the characters. And Arin just doesn't know how to appreciate it like I do. I appreciate games in both senses that are either a challange or are able to talk me through and help me out. It feels good to complete a thing once in while and not feel frustrated. But sometimes I have days where I want to challange myself and that feels good too.
@lightsideofsin89692 жыл бұрын
@@yufi305 I also feel like he hates games for his own inability to pay attention. He claims that Zelda games hold your hand too much and it's too easy but he never knows where to go or what to do. He dismisses and skips every dialogue that tries to tell him what's going on and then blames the game for the fact that he doesn't know what to do. I don't like Skyward Sword either but 1. it's not my job to make a pleasant-to-watch playthrough of it and 2. I don't constantly shit on this game and everyone who likes it. It's frustrating to listen to him shit on your favourite games, shit on you for liking them and shit on all the people who wanna help him. He complains all the time about comments that tell him how to struggle less so I absolutely don't believe him when he says, he doesn't read them. He reads them, he just can't handle criticism.
@yufi3052 жыл бұрын
@@lightsideofsin8969 Absolutely! I can understand anyone who doesn't care for skyward sword, its not for everyone. Everyone has their own preference and whether others have criticisms about certain games, the least they can do is still respect a person for having their own opinions. Criticisms are fine just don't be a jerk about it "Arin". Seriously. It IS so frustrating.

And the future timeline that Slurmp ditches becomes the Windwaker timeline. The timeline we see here were he's turned back into a kid goes into Twilight Princess. I theorize that after Navi flys off to presumably die because her purpose has been fulfilled, Slurmp also dies in the Kokiri forest looking for her and becomes the spirit that guides Spantzzz in the future. And all the times Arin dies canonically goes into the Link to the Past timeline.

I have to say I never found the Forest Temple theme scary, this version of the Fire Temple on the other hand, I did find scary. Mostly because, I was a kid and I didn't know that those were religious chants plus the echo & repeating effects Koji Kondo gave to the sample is what made it scary. And as a fun fact, this sample was used in other games such as Cruisin World in El Cario track and even Street Fighter 5 in the Thailand stage, however just like in OoT it had to be removed in the latter

I've got the version with the chanting and it does feel significantly creepier. I think its cognitive dissonance. My brain is aware that its religious chanting but its in a dungeon with kidnapped gorons so who is praying and why? Also its really loud when the chanting comes it. However the forest temple's music hits the scary beats for me. Its also a haunted house so I think about what made it haunted which creeps me out more. Holy crap, OoT had some great environmental storytelling.
