You'll find episodes missing from series like Emerald, Sonic 06, Animal Crossing, Joe & Mac, etc and all of A Link To The Past. It started in July 2020 when BLM hype began. And without saying his name, Jon was kinda thrown under the bus by GG/Arin too.

This entire playthrough makes me appreciate the fact that Oneyplays played through (and broke) all of Pokemon Red, because: - They played it on the original gameboy cartridge, as showcased through the fact it was done on the N64 console. (Not as if the Grumps haven't exclusively picked old consoles to play their games on) - They showcased many of the glitches (e.g. Missingno, "Lil Stank" changed to "Lil") and even talked about several facts about how barely strung together that game is (that you *should* still research for your own first-handed benefit [don't listen to a youtube commenter]) - We went through a whole-ass social-paradigm shift in 2020, and the two completed series have yet to be deleted (as of March 23rd, 2022). The fact that this is even on a 3rd party channel speaks volumes.

Because Jon said “nigga” at one point in the episode, and BLM was pretty prominent at the time it was private’d, so Arin probably removed it to avoid controversy or getting cancelled or whatever... Didn’t make a lick of difference in the end though, and now an old series is missing an episode.

I remember when this show started, and it was basically live-action Newgrounds humour without the 6 month wait for Egoraptor to upload a new edgy toon. Whatever happened to catering to a specific audience? I get that all artists change over time, and their work is obviously shaped by that; but what's with this common so called 'Hollywood' trend of trying to cater to everyone and crying 'Think of the children!' once they go mainstream? Don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan of current grumps, but you have to admit it's got a much more relaxed and less controversial energy now that Dan has replaced Jon. Nice, but different, you know - though the old stuff is like coke-classic ;P

Jon is right about Pokémon sameness and it’s the reason I stopped after Gen 3. They had so much opportunity to go 3D or do a no turn based gameplay but they stopped making Colour cartridges and added too much Pokémon so you didn’t have a grasp on the strategy without being obsessed. The way the anime portrays the battle is far more exciting than the actual game.

It's not surprising as to why Arin deleted episode 13 or whatever it was off of the official channel and has buried lots of the Jon-era stuff, or why he did it when he did during early covid with the race riots then. A candid, harmless, offensice off the cuff joke that hurt no one unfortunately is enough to sink the ship for lots of people careers today. I would imagine especially so with the type of person who watches GG now. The jokes are fucking hilarious because they are offensive, people need to grow some balls
