Thanks for mentioning that. I'm still a beginner at mashups, and I'm much more efficient at midi programming and the like than audio syncronization. Who knows, maybe I'll try /that/.

Agreed on both points. There's actually a bit for NSMBU and Wii/DS (around 1:47) that actually use almost the exact same chord progression: F -> Ddim -> Em -> Am(Wii) / A(U) -> D -> G -> C, which I noticed after messing around with my synthesizer. It's rather obvious in hindsight - they go along the best.

I'm considering doing a related thing actually - a bit of a mashup medley remix in which I compare Koji Kondo's compositions through the ages but actually flowing well.

It's not perfect, but it's pretty much the same.

If you know about stuff like chords and chord progressions, you'll find it natural.

Chaos? Sure. Awesome? Not so much.

Remind me not to rely on Mixcraft's tempo grabber next time. ...In retrospect, so /that/'s what was wrong! *facepalms*

Its sounds more like you Slowed down some of it and at 1:12 it just sounds like a practicing marching band.

I'm sorry if you took this as an offence but who knows, maybe you can do better. :)
