Monkeys once captured will passively gather fruits, mushrooms and nuts for you no maintenance required. Just put down the monkey stump then later check the monkey's inventory. Parrots have incredibly loud voice lines, you can put them in a corner you don't walk by often. As others have said spear also pairs with shield adding even more benefits block counters are incredibly strong on harder enemies. Appreciate the videos. I have not played survival games in a couple years but enjoying the depth of this one.

It's a tiny camp. You could have easily got the scout. You are as ready as u can be at this point. It's not the barbarian barracks lol

Follow up on last episode comment: In addition to increasing your prof. growth through the mask nodes, remember to review/select your bonuses through the proficiency menu on the right side of your character (O) menu. Every 30 levels you get the option to choose a bonus. I don't see an option to change these once you confirm your choice. Additionally, right below the proficiency menu is the mastery menu, where every 30 levels you earn a new equipped skill (F) you can equip. This can be changed freely. I've actually had it switch back to the default skill after death, so you might need to pay close attention to that. Also be aware there is a parry system in game, which works for both you and your enemies. Blocking right before a hit can stun the attacker, which will allow the blocker to perform an execution-style special attack that looks hella sick and does a lot of damage. Edit: While it is correct that one way of saying "Satiety" is how you are, suh-tie-it-tee, you would probably be more comfortable with its other pronunciation "Say-it-tee". That pronunciation falls closer in line with the way the words "satiate" and "satiation" are pronounced, both having the "say" as the first syllable.

While starting a base checking nearby resources greatly helps.. Having clay source / access to premium food (leopard etc..) and having a ruin for periodically gather mask crystal greatly speeds up progress but also makes it more challenging at early levels :))

Just a quick note: troughs will fill with water when it rains. I say this because if you have a barn, at some point, if the roof above the trough is open, then the rain will fill it.

One of my companions said it would be nice to have some monkeys around, so looks like they give you some pointers as to what to do to enhance the base which is nice.

constructive idea to send to the Devs. your Tribe should be able to gain buffs such as Morale via furnishings like beds and other comfort items. the player's character has a bed to regain morale the same should also apply to all Tribe members as well. this gives the village some added flavor by building a proper house/sleeping area. regarding Scouts and dealing with archers, use the spear yank to pull them into melee and go to town on them. Monkey's and Parrots can be captured in the small traps. place the Parrot stands and the Monkey Cache before you capture them. Parrots make very good sentries to raise the alarm if someone comes near them. Monkeys will passively gather fruits and nuts etc.... needing only to periodically check the cache. place a Dining Table down in a new building to serve as the communal living space. the cook pot and food prep can be placed there as well.

Also make the comfort level area bigger. It is way too small at this point. My base is not even that big and while most of my base is comfort level 3 there are still some random spots that are still level 2...

You can find fireflies at night, in various places, if you make a bug net you can catch them to "fuel" your waist lantern.

- Yes, there are teleporters, eventually... - Parrots will eat locust bait, monkeys will eat nuts for bait. Both can be captured in small traps. You can capture adults - just have a parrot stand and monkey nest first. Parrots are irritating, I pulled them off the stand and left them flying around my base. - I killed the scouts 7 times before I finally managed an interogation, lol

That's funny, I was having the same problem, now when I come up to them and want to interrogate them further I un-equip my spear block with shield and punch them till their hp is low enough.

The shield and spear combination is OP until now, as solo player i managed to survive hard enemies with it, the thing is you can attack with the spear while blocking with your shield wich other weapons do not allow you , also with the spear you can pull enemies from very far away towards you, ideal for eliminating enemies one by one, something extremely useful if you play alone Also keep in mind that wild animals can attack and kill your tribesmen collecting resources, equipping them with shields, spears and decent armor can save their lives.

Hey Kage just a tip gear that is repaired loses durability so when/if you have plenty of mats lying around you should have new tools crafted on a regular basis. Also when you repair/upgrade your mask, along the top line there is a skill that lets you see the quality of npcs and there is a good one to try and keep found one and it's something along the line of lucky was pretty weak in every other aspect but with this lucky skill he had a 50% chance to find/obtain rare materials and to activate it it is hold 'Q' and you should carry some of those green gems that restore your mask energy, also you lost the health bar as you needed to 'Q' them again / hit them also the spear can be used with a shield and it's better then the sword but one thing with the sword there is a sort of attack back feature and if you get into using a spear and shield you need to try and get good with the shielding at the right time so you can do a finishing move on them.

the red flower you are talking about is called the quinoa flower and you can farm it but you will need bone powder fertilizer also with the flower you make a porridge that gives you bonus exp for a short time and if you can get a comfort rating of 2 not sure if there is higher but all you then need to do is sit on a armchair or sleep in a bed for about 10 seconds and you will get like a rested buff for half an hour witch also gives you bonus exp gains

fyi perception ("Q") does use mask power. not exactly sure how much. but I've drained it a bit much before getting to a destination to deter/interrogate. whilst forgetting I left my energy items at home lol

In my opinion, don't spend too much time on the starter base because you will need to eventually move your main base more West towards the better resources and end game

BTW don't use your main character in combat. For some reason their weapon mastery capped at 60.. while your tribesman have random but much higher caps + extra skills. Your starting character a deadweight. Unfortunately I discovered it very late :(

As solo Player the best distribution of stats that has worked for me is to put everything in Endurance and Strength until I complete the 20 digits in each of these two, and maybe I will stay like that for the rest of the game , also try to get Monkeys as soon as you can, at least five of them because they will collect fruits for you indefinitely and they don't need you to feed them, they take care of themselves To house monkeys you will first need to craft a Monkey storage nest (in which they will put the fruits they collect) and then catch them with small traps, using a nut as bait, take them to your base and let them wander around, they will place the fruits they "find" "in the storage nest that you built for them

Yes, great. Monkys are realy helpful. Give you a lot leather if you a kill a wild monkey. Is not so easily, bad satisfight. And, yes, portal are hier, bad leitly and not so easier. You nedet a lot a mask energy. :D Wish you a good luck.

Yes there are portal in the game, find 1 then find another and you can jump between those 2. there are a few animal that you can use for mounts----- Alpaca - Lama - Jaguar - Ostrich that i have seen sofar, the alpaca can be found in some of the barbarian camps and in the wilds (with adults that hate you) there are lamas out on their our again with folks that hate you so kill them first., The lama has a couple of good reasons to get it and they are the ability to carry 1 subject that will become a member of your tribe yay (bear in mind if you get attacked whilst they are over the rump of the mount they can get killed. there is also a carry hutches that carry 2 baby animals back to you base if you trap em. The Jaguar Find Blue glowing things on the floor click them enough to draw out the mummy Jaguar and wait OUT of range for mummy to hunt and give birth once done lay down a trap and hope baby goes in first or lay down 2 and kill mummy then trap baby ( there are a few videos out there on how to do this. The Ostrich located to the north in the hot zone are a few nesting pairs KILL them and any around you, Go to the nest and get an egg, get back to your base with the egg and keep it Very warm there is a temp on the egg. Ostrich good for taking 95% less fall damage great for paragliding off of cliffs. not seen the snow biome yet so there might be mounts there but as yet not seen. Hope this help you KAGE.

I had a hassle with the scout interrogation. Killed the scout too many times so I’d kill the dog and the other tribesman then take off my weapons and just punch the scout till I could interrogate.

Same. It took me about 4 tries. Once you can split them up by killing the other guy and the dog I just used my axe instead of an actual weapon.

I am jealous of young generation who have games like this with their friends. Looks like a fun game to play with people, but i'd get bored playing alone and don't have much interest in playing with a million settings like ark survival to make it fun to play single player.
