@ tell me more because watching nearly every Celtics game for while it was clear the bucks gave the Celtics a hard time. We didn’t have the lead until the last couple minutes and Milwaukee easily could have and should have won last night. GS absolutely gave us the most trouble this year by far and then of course Indy continues to do so especially in the regular season (post we swept 🧹) hoping that runs out next time. Of the three bucks matchups this year I would say this was the best one for sure and although I want to play the Knicks and destroy them in the ECF Milwaukee would still be a fun matchup with JB and Giannis stuff. Compared to the bucks game in November that 3rd quarter 29-15 that was a walk in the park game compared to last night. Hopefully Middleton is better next time and KP is ready if we meet again in the playoffs. As a Celtics fan it nice to see Milwaukee playing much better and giving us a hard time

Boston has low key dominated Milwaukee in the Giannis years. 2 and 1 in the playoffs and the regular season isn’t even close. Not taking anything away from Milwaukee because they are scary regardless but Boston has always matched up well against them.

im pretty sure the point differential is a lot closer now but between 22-23 Boston had a point differential vs the bucks of +101 i was because all of those blowouts but the games are a lot closer now

The Bucks didn't play their best game of the season lol. Khris was on a minutes restriction, played out of rhythm shown by the fact that he was missing easy shots for him because it was his first game back, Taurean Prince got sick in the middle of the game and couldn't return messing up their wing rotation and small ball lineup, Giannis missed some easy shots he had been comfortable with the whole season, and they started falling into bad iso ball towards the end without running action which is something they had improved on in this recent stretch where they've won more games. Porzingus actually makes the Celtics matchup easier for the Bucks because he doesn't have the foot speed to contain Giannis or Dame off the dribble so the Bucks can attack drop coverage with Dame easily. Giannis would put KP into foul trouble too. KP makes the Celtics better but not in the Bucks matchup. He makes them more vulnerable to the Bucks offense compared to Horford The Bucks proved they can hang and beat the Celtics, the first two losses happened during the stretch where the Bucks were playing bad and had different rotations, and many of their players were in an extensive shooting slump. They can beat the Celtics. People only provide context for the Celtics, but don't do the same for their opponents. The Bucks will in all likelihood improve their IQ, chemistry, and execution towards the latter half of the season too because a lot of these players are new to the roster and they only just got relatively healthy. They'll be a better and different team later this year should they play the Celtics in the playoffs. The Celtics are closer to a finished product than the Bucks are. They can still get better

They were still 0-3 against the celtics and lost all 3 by atleast 2 possessions. 2 of those games you had both Dame and Giannis put up big numbers and still lost as well which is where I have the harder time seeing it since those 2 need to considerably outplay Tatum and Brown to beat the Celtics as I don't trust the rest of the Bucks to consistently outplay the rest of the celtics.

KP makes the matchup easier for the Bucks not the Celtics. Bucks get to attack KP drop coverage with Dame in space, and Giannis can guard and contain KP easily while that is not the case the other way around. Horford makes more sense for that matchup. Bucks were also missing Taurean the entire second half, and Khris was on a minutes restriction and not in rhythm since it was his first game back for the season, he missed several easy shots for him. You could argue the Bucks beat the Celtics if those circumstances are different. You existing in hypotheticals, not reality and conclusions based on evidence

Everybody relax. Celtics won in their ground. Celtics didn't have Porzingis. Bucks didn't have Prince (their best percentage three pointer). Bucks had KMid in his first game after 6 months. These two teams when healthy they are evenly matched. Nobody wants to see each other in the playoffs.
