RDR is an open world game, and TLOU is a semi-open linear game, with much more focus on storytelling and character development (RDR didn't have many interesting characters except for John) I love open world games, they are my favourite type, more so if it's a rockstar game, but TLOU won me over completely.

The Last Of Us Remastered - Hands down best game in the last 10 years! The only people who would say differ would be Xbox fans or young children not old enough to understand the experience and concept of the entire game, but I guess there is also people who don't like the game completely which is fair but in the end I won over 200 GOTY awards so we all know how amazing it was!!

How *ANYONE* could think that The Last Of Us, which when compared to actual film would be a mediocre forgettable blockbuster with 9th grade level dialogue and writing, is game of the decade is just baffling to me. It literally just shows gamers have next to no standards when it comes to story telling. Video game stories in general are terrible, and that's okay because the story has always been a frame work to hang interesting and fun gameplay on. But when you make a game SPECIFICALLY for the story like the Last of Us, and add absolutely nothing unique or interesting to it gameplay wise, it just falls apart. It's truly the most overrated game in existence. Generic third person shooter in a generic zombie setting with generic cover controls. WOW! 10/10 IGN

A snap-to-cover system just removes the flow of the game, the detailed environmental hand to hand combat is like nothing I've seen in another game. Plus, I've played the game 8 times and it wasn't until recently that I noticed that you can pet a dog in the game, you just keep finding new things so saying it has nothing unique to it just makes no sense

Dark Souls gets dealt a shit hand when it comes to awards and accolades. These things are really a popularity contest and people can only vote or speak for games that they have actually put time into. A very select few people at IGN have actually finished Dark Souls which means everyone else has no credible opinion on it. This is the same reason Bayonetta 2 was one of metacritics highest scoring games, yet wasn't even top 3 on most websites GOTY list cause nobody actually played it besides the reviewers.

I know I'll get much dislike from this, but I played The Last of Us, and I loved it the first time. But on the second playthrough, it was just a boring game. The multiplayer was fun for awhile, but it was nothing spectacular. In my opinion, this game is just an average 3rd person shooter with a well told story. And I don't have time to deal with fanboys who assume I've never played the game. I'd be saying it's a 10/10 moments after I beat the story too. But in reality, I've played more F.U.N games. I believe a fun game is better than a "great movie" if you know what I mean. Saying that it's game of the generation, just irritates me knowing that Naughty Dog's Jak and Daxter and Uncharted 2 were way more fun to play than The Last of Us overall.

Josh Allmey nah it was tense as shit and the stealth was really well done. All the enemy AI behaved very realistically and I loved the way you had to manage your resources. Maybe you played it on an easier difficulty on something but playing on hard and then survivor I found the gameplay to be realistic, intense and thoroughly enjoyable

The Last of Us is definitely overrated if we're talking game of the decade. That game is better than other games because it has a superior story? Please realize that The Last of Us is an art form labeled as a "game" not a Movie, not a TV show. Also, The Last of Us lacks replay value. Playing the game is unnecessary when you can just watch it. Which is a problem with a lot of single player games. I can get more replay value out of Halo 2's campaign than TLOU for all of the fun things to do in campaign that bungie left in. Dark Souls, and Red Dead Redemption are much more deserving of game of the decade.

I think halo 4 had the best multiplayer of any halo game. I think it's always been stupid that you couldn't customize your classes in the other games.

Should have started the list with the year 2005 if you want to do game of the decade. 5 years is not a decade. 2005-2014 makes more sense anyways, it's the HD era of gaming. 1995-2004 is the 3D era, while 1985-1994 is the 2D era. 2015-2024 is probably going to be the VR Era of gaming.

Played TLOU once fucking loved it, played the multiplayer it was pretty good (better than call of duty at least) played Left Behind fucking loved it, playing story mode plus just as amazing as first time round. screw game of the decade best game of all time?
