This series is making me do something I've never done and that's give props to the Grayson rams. I hope the players and coaches take it to heart. You did it the right way which is very uncommon in that area and made it to the championship. No PG 8,9,&10 transfers. You guys played with who you had and made it to the championship. Always keep that in mind. You don't have to transfer anywhere to win and it feels so much better when you do it right and go through the fire with your boys you grew up with. You guys should be proud.

This happened my senior year. We had 11 seniors and we knew each other since we was in elementary. We had a losing record our freshman year but about 6-7 of us were already starting. By our senior year, we were a force. Beat the team who had won it 5 out of the previous 6 years in the semi finals and then smoked the next team in the state championship. Definitely was special to all of us. This was in 2012 but we still enjoy talking about it when we all get together.

These videos are great. Lot of pressure and passion from GA HS baseball fans. In SC, for state championships, we play best of 3 series with one game at each team's homefield and if a 3rd game is necessary, at a neutral site. The facility GA (Stripers in Gwinnett??) plays at looks amazing but I wonder if there is anything lost for teams that maybe have "shorter fields" and scored a lot of runs on HRs that doesn't translate to this park??? It reminds me of watching college teams play in Omaha with the fences way back.

I thought so too at first (ball def beat him by a mile), but after slowing it down to .25 speed, it looks like the tag was high and didn't get him until his neck at which point his hand looks to be on or extremely close to on the bag (white batting glove makes it hard to tell). Too hard to tell, but definitely about as close of a play as you will see.
@jerredblunt11128 ай бұрын
A lot of people are in the wrong here. 3rd baseman didn't help himself with his hesitation on the tag. 3rd base coach was way out of his box and shouldn't have been nearly as close as he was during the play. 3rd base umpire had the best look and the call is the call - agree or disagree with it, at least he owned it. Great hustle by the runner to get in there though - that's a kid trying to win a game.
