The Dodgers sacrificed all their incredible starters by burning them on short rest in the NLDS so when they got to the NLCS vs the Braves, they had nothing left in the tank. They were exhausting Scherzer in game 5 of the NLDS like it was game 7 of the WS as if he wouldn't have to pitch again till the next season. Well the Dodgers won the NLDS, but it came with a pretty high cost.
