The Knight at the end (Ser Barristan Selmy) you may recognise him from season 1. He was the commander of the Kings guard of King Robert.

Being the commander of the kings guard, he was allowed to sit at council meetings (he didn't want to). Council meetings where they talked about assassinating Dany and also of reports sent by Jorah, no wonder Jorah isn't happy.

I think you’ve missed something important. Jorah was initially sent to Daenerys as a spy to report back to kings landing, however now he has truly joined her. He’s nervous about that knight turning up because he knows Jorah was sent as a spy.

Tywin is an insanely good actor (Charles Dance), to say he is great is an understatement, he is in a league of his own above all others. His character is insanely smart but also pure evil, evil at its best pure form too. That's how evil truly is. Amazing. You love to hate him, all actors should be taking notes from his example.

The more you learn about Tywin's childhood the more you'll understand why he's the way he is. His father was socially inept, the lords who served him openly mocked him and didn't pay debts back to him, Tywin saw all this done to his father so he feels the need to make everyone have fear and respect for him and his family name, legacy is the most important thing to Tywin

Melisandre is 1000% more misguided than evil. She genuinely believes she is a "warrior of light" fighting to protect the world from the coming darkness. So in her mind, sacrificing a few people to help protect the whole is heroic. She does get visions in her fires, but often misinterprets them. She also genuinely does have powerful magic, she isn't lying about that.

In the gamexof thrones Marjorie is essentially a savant that effortlessly plays the game her own way. That's why I the Cersei hates her because she's been playing the game exhaustively through secrets and deception trying gain power over her life and Mozart Marjorie just comes in and achieves Cersei's former status in an instant as queen and all she has to do is smile and be loving, a side Cersei could never show or probably even develop in that constant life of subterfuge. Cersei is jealous because Marjorie is just way better at the game and the more Cersei is cold and cruel the more brilliant Marjorie is in contrast to everyone around them.

​​@@jima6545ell the show is pretty much an entirely different animal after a certain point because they ran out of source material, and GRRM basically gave them a few broad strokes on a couple key characters and wished them good luck telling their story. But also, this is basically the line of thought I came away with after reading the books as well, as far as why Cersei REALLY hates Margaret. Wish I could ask you how you think they're wrong, but I'm sure it would be full of spoilers for Hannah so best to just not get into it I guess

​@@jima6545I did but since we are watching the show I'm commenting on HBO version. Personally I like this more as it adds more depth. In the book we mostly only see her through Sansa's and Cersei's eyes and given their extreme polar differences and biases I feel the real Margaery is a bit undefined. The series at least portrays her as an actual person instead of just being a pseudo peripheral npc for a couple of main characters to interact with.

Honestly, the fact that Tyrion is SO similar to Tywin in terms of intelligence probably makes him hate him even more. The most "fitting" heir Tywin has killed his wife and is a joke among fellow nobles, and if he lets him be the head of the family any children may also have his "faulty" genetics, further dragging the Lannister name through the mud.

The old man at the end is the one who was pissed when Cersei tore up King Robert's letter that made Ned Stark "Protector of the Realm" right after Robert died. Cersei and Joffrey kicked him out of the Kingsguard afterwards. He was also Kingsguard for Dany's father before Robert took the throne in the rebellion.
