Just to point jamie's relationship with tyrion hasn't changed.. he always loved tyrion.. there is a reason why tyrion chose jamie as his fighter in trial by combat when catlyn took him prisoner cause he always trusted him.. If you pay attention to little statements here and there.. Jamie and Cersei's conversation in 4th episode of this season after jaime visited tyrion in prison.. when he told cersei tyrion didn't kill joffery cersei said 'you have always pitied him'.. cersei mistook his love and care as pity.. In this episode when oberyn was telling the childhood story that cersei pinched tyrion's penis, it was jamie who made her stop.. Even another incident in 1st season when catlyn took tyrion as prisoner jaime attacked ned.. at that time we hated lannister so we thought he was just doing it in ego but watching 2nd time put things in perspective.. also when jaime talked to tywin (the scene he was butchering a deer).. he was talking/convincing his father to bring back tyrion... A lot of little things about jaime's character is missed in first watch.. but puts a lot of things in perspective after knowing more about him..
