It's disappointing to hear that all the spinoff shows HBO is executing are focused on one singular family line, the Targaryens, AND telling stories we already know the outcome of. We already know that the Dance of Dragons ends with everyone dying and the dragons being wiped out. We already know Aegon the Conqueror... conquered. It's all the OTHER cool parts of Martin's world I want to see play out, like (if it has to be on Westeros) The Long Night. But more interestingly, why don't we get shows about Essos? Essos is a far more interesting continent. Just the lands of Yi Ti and Asshai would make for fantastic television. But no, HBO has to stick to the same thing because they assume that's what everyone wants. Ugh.

@@timothyw98 Exactly, anyone too saturated in another character would just ruin it. She was good in ST but she’s so over exposed now and really annoying. HOTD got lucky with Matt Smith, despite him being Doctor Who, it was long enough ago and his Daemon is just so good. But if they make Cavill or similar, Aegon after him being Geralt and Superman, it would be too distracting. Some actors are too big to inhabit such an iconic role, so they’ll have to be careful with the three conquerors. IMO

Don't expect too much. During the conquest Balerion was around 100 years old, same as Vermithor, Silverwing and Dreamfyre now. He will be significantly smaller or at the very most as large as Vhagar

@@LittleMissSmallPawDon’t underestimate Balerion! He was born in Old Valyria, before the doom…it is well known that they used magic to enhance the size & strength of their dragons. Since, Balerion is the only dragon alive during the conquest, to have survived the doom, he’s gonna be huge! Even at 100 yrs old, he will probably be larger the Vhagar or atleast the same size!

YES! This is what ive been waiting for, come on Henry Cavill! But this new idea that came from HOTD that each new King knew of the White Walkers and the prophecy, it makes you question things regarding the lore of ASOIAF. Like, was this the reason why Maegor tried to force his way on the throne? Because he thought the current heir wouldn't be strong enough for what was to come? A lot of things that were revealed in HOTD really rejuvenated the lore of ASOIAF and made things much more interesting, which is why i was so excited for Aegons Conquest. Roberts Rebellion and the Hour of the Wolf would also be AMAZING to see in live action. I seriously hope HOTD goes on long enough so we can see the Hour of the Wolf. We could seriously get decades upon decades of ASOIAF spin offs if HBO takes their time and does the lore justice. 100 year old Charlie explaining to us 100 year old subscribers 😂😂 But thanks for the video, Charlie! Vhagar and Meraxes were not part of the 5 dragons brought from Valyria.. They were hatched on Dragonstone. Only Balerion was hatched in Valyria..

I hope that Naomi Watts gets a chance to finally be in one of these series. She was sad to have her series dropped after 1 episode (the $30M pilot that will never be seen anywhere) and I think she'd make an excellent Targaryen!

Man that show i am excited to see it.....though animated if it could've been would be awesome too as in animation they can do things they couldn't in LA as its way more pricey and they can get amazing VAs to play Historical figures!

I hope in future we can see Valyria before the Doom and the politics between the different families. The Targaryens were not the elite family in Valyria so I wonder who were the elites in Valyria and what dragons they had - must have been way bigger than Balerion The Black Dread. This would have been crazy and wild to watch - fornication between brothers & sisters, dragon wars, dragon breeding, dragon taming. This is a whole other world.

I have no idea how you make a TV show out of Aegon's story. It's just one scene after another of "A huge army is put together, and then they're all immediately roasted by dragons."

You get cool moments such as the battle of gull town where the Arryns defeat the Velaryon fleet. The last storm grounds meraxes and dampens her fires. Orys has to fight the last storm king on foot. Where Brandon stark wants to attempt to kill the dragons with weirwood arrows. Dornes gorilla warfare, chopping off Orys hand, killing Meraxes and perhaps even taking Rhaenys as prisoner to torture. Then their revenge and assassination attempts. Even the battles are different. Vhagar burning the Arryn fleet as revenge. The massacre at Harrnehal, the first display of Balerion’s might. The last storm which is too powerful for Meraxes to be used efficiently. The three coming together on the field of fire and seeing them at their strongest, Visenya even takes an arrow to the shoulder. The death of Meraxes. Then after all this we could see the sons of the dragon. Aenys/Aegon the uncrowned vs Maegor. Quicksilver vs Balerion. Hopefully we’d see Rhaena, Jaehaerys and Alysanne too.

I only ask for producers to please don’t make Aegon the Conqueror black, keep the Targaryen look. Otherwise I won’t see it as much as I’d love to see Balerion and the others.
