I get the spirit of trying to avoid spoilers, but 99% of HotD viewers know the things you skip and still enjoy the series. Having Igli react for a 1st revelation is nice, we love him for it. But going in with knowledge watching the series in order, could lead to actual discussions during episodes as well. Many of the best GoT channels for early seasons had read the books. It enhanced their reaction, not ruined it.

Wait? Martin have them the go ahead to start GoT. Then they waited a DECADE. We did not need more seasons dragging the end game out, hoping Martin would release the next book which he STILL HASN'T TO THIS DAY. The main plot points align with Azor Ahai & Nissa Nissa plus that the original magic of the land will be revitalizing & having a say in a budding democratic country lead by the owner of a wolf named SUMMER makes perfect sense as the ending for a magical mysterious entity that holds the memories & therefore soul of nation.
