But didn't expect the shitty ending for Jon. He sacrificed everything, his love, his crown for the people. And this is how those people treated him? By banishing him from the seven kingdoms? Not even mentioning his true parentage? This is how they treated their biggest hero? I don't consider the ending bittersweet anymore. Sure the Starks won, but it was only a tragic ending for the two main characters. A Tragedy of Ice (Jon) and Fire (Dany).

If you can forgot the bad wrriting the ending of Dany is the saddest of all if you look back on her life. Heartbreaking really. They never appreciated her for what she did and betrayed her without exceptions. She gave up everything for strangers and newly known. Even for Jon when Dany disobeys Tyrion & saves them all north of the wall. Then Winterfell. Jon's home and people. She lost everybody in the ugliest ways. And she dies stabbed by the man she loves in the heart. Is devastating.

If Martin would have written it, and Dany would have died identically, if it was by RR.Martin's pen, we would have a completely different opinion. @@romanitza24 I'd like to think so but I would expect GRRM to make the ending less happy for some of the minor characters that got rather happy endings-some beyond what they reasonably should have. I know this was likely GRRM's ending in the books but he will have actual reasons for it. The tv show did not but went with this bitter (not really a lot of sweet) ending with no reasons-I think they managed to screw everything up because this isn't where the characters in their story where headed. They had done enough changes from the books they were telling their own version now and not GRRM's-trying to stick his ending on the back of their story hurts both.

This music is one of my personal favorites from the whole show. Just brilliant. I love how this piece sounds like a mixture of many previous tracks all culminated into one. Romantic, sad and lonely and still tells a whole story of depressing love and tragedy. Sounds like the Stark theme, The Tower, The Targaryen Theme, and Winter has Come all together.

After all, she has been through, she was betrayed by almost everyone around her. She was all alone in the end and the only person she trusted murdered her with a kiss. They should have taken Kings Landing when they first arrived in Westeros. Daenary's could have taken it in one morning, killing Cersei but sparing the people. She still had good advisors directing her in that way at the time. Instead, she met Jon, took on the battle with the Night King losing her dragon, her friend and half her army. Also, Jon would not have known his true identity if he had not gone north. The Lannisters would not have had time to prepare those dragon killing defenses. Once she had taken King's landing, she could have combined her armies with those of the Lannisters and taken them (and three dragons) north to fight the Night King. He would have still been behind the wall. Daenarys would not have gone mad because she would not have lost so much.

Its hard to say that jon-dany is fan service. The storyline the elements points to these two coming together. The two falling for each other seems to be a natural thing that could happen. Theyre similar in many ways - save and protect. Dany would fall for a real leader but not like any typical lords. Jon seems to be impressed with strong willed women and Dany with her strong will and good heart surely will captivate Jon.

Is not too much, but this is what I'm referring to: 1 This first clue is assuming that R + L = J is true. So, this is the most popular clue wich is related to one of the visions in the house of the undying in the second book. This vision is about Daenerys looking at a wall of ice (the night's watch) with a blue rose growing on it (Jon Snow) and a SWEETNESS in the air. 2. Then, in the last book, in one of Jon's chapter he's contemplating Val (a wilding he considers beautiful). Val has blond hair but for one moment while Jon is looking at her at the distance it seems like she had silver withe hair (this is an effect of the moon light) and suddenly he senses a SWEET arome in the air. 3. When Melisandre talks about Jon (last book) she describes him as a man with a shadow face (or someting like that jaja) and in the same book when Daenerys talks about her love one, she says that every time she tries to see him, all she sees is a man with a shadow face. 4. The last chapters of the last book are Jon (where he dies), Ser Barristan and Daenerys. So, when Dany is in the grass sea she's trying to survive and also has a lot of thoughts. While she's walking, she hears the sound of a wolf and that makes her feel sad. So I know what you're thinking, is just a wolf in a apparently lonely place so it does not have a link with Jon. But why would the writer put the cry of a wolf in a Dany's chapter after the chapter where Jon dies? And why does he describe Dany feeling sad because of it? Coincidence? I think not :v jajajaja so yes, almost all the "clues" are in the last book (considering the fourth one has no chapters of Jon or Dany). So, I believe they do are going to meet, and if they don't develop a love relationship, they probably are going to have a deep conexion with eachother.

I can't explain how much I love their stories. Jon had hard life trying to find himself, because he never new what he truly was. The worst thing in any of that is that this entire time he was treated like a bastard, while Ned new the truth. I know it was all because he wanted to protect Jon, still very sad. And Dany's storyline is just so epic. She never new what she was, what can she do. She was raped, and had a hard time with that. Treated like a slave, but then, when she left, everything changed. I think that Jon really found himself when he left the wall. And their storylines are in the truth I believe. @@pplr1 No, the show can't stand on its own. Martin is the creator of the story, this is his vision and art and he's the one to decide the ending. And D&D dropped plenty of hints where this is going. Many of us warned her fans that Dany's decisions were questionable but they chose to justify all her mistakes instead. I kept saying since season 4 that she will turn bad and people insulted me. They wanted their fairy tale. I understand some of you feel betrayed because you should have seen it coming and you didn't. I think the show was challenging us to see through the facade and not take everything at face value. Some people fell into the trap others didn't.

And even then they should've realized these were to similar stories but different stories nonetheless. Also I think you meant to stay "fate" rather than "faith". Not that I think spelling is the problem here, rather missing that it is possible to give GRRM too much credit and influence when it comes to the show-or perhaps not enough credit for the show failing-which is what happened in the end. Also GRRM may be failing at his message then because-like I said earlier-he or the show through his influence is using double standards to send that message. Double standards are not a good way to determine if someone is good or evil. The show shouldn't be lying to the audience if trying to represent or show something. That is a supposedly a moment of truth rather than blatant dishonesty. If the message is to look carefully the irony is that a careful look undercuts the messenger and the story he brings.

I just keep on listening to this sad yet beautiful song, over and over, after warching the finale episode. By the time I heard it in the finale episode of season 7, two years ago, I should've known that there'll be no happy ending for their love story. It would be a tragic bitter sweet one, just like this song. I shade a tear, as these melody tearing my heart, piece by piece, and as my mind recalling all of the beautiful moments that Jon and Daenery had shared since the very first day fate had brought them together, till the very last beautiful moment when they travel their dragons to the waterfall in winterfell... They are a song of ice and fire. Their love was the most beautiful love story that ever written, ever! After what they've been through in their tragic and lonely lives, they finally found their true love, someone to share their bitterness and loneliness, and sharing their destiny as a ruler as the last Targaryens. And they have never been in love with anyone else like ever before. They deserve a happy ending, to be honest... But hey, what do I expect? Its a Game of Thrones! Arya kill the Nightking; Jon and everyone making terrible plan despite them being military genius; Jon become useless in the long night even more so, the rest of the season; Dany character being reduced to killing everyone because she didn't get love, even though everyone who has supported her loves her; Tyrion be stupid; Varys planning to kill Dany but still stay on the island despite him be a spymaster and stating repeatedly that he would save his own skin in previous season; Raganel getting sniped by Eurion with a Scorpion three times behind a rock from a ridiculous distance; Dany the next episode avoiding the Scopion arrows like the plague even though there were thousands of them but all missed there shots somehow; Dany forgetting about the iron fleet even though during the battle plans, Varys mention them; The White Walkers plot didn't go nowhere, we literally learn nothing about them; Jon's parentage meant nothing and was forced so there can be some unnecessary drama; Jon's character reduced to "I don't want it" or "She my queen"; I can go on but the point is the season was rush and had terrible writing. Pervious season had bad writing too but we were hoping the final season would make up for it. There are so many plot hole and characters arcs that weren't payed off or finished. Characters making out of character or stupid decisions. Yeah we payed attention dude.

I have accepted that Season 8 is like a cliff-notes version of the true ending. I was at least happy that Jon, Arya, and Bran survived the series; Jon was my favorite character. It sucks how Daenerys's storyline was handled. Hopefully the true ending in the books will be more satisfactory, even if she still ends up going crazy, melting King's Landing, and getting murdered.

Whether it's the powerful and magnificent Targaryen themes or the melancholic and ethereal Stark themes, Ramin's music will haunt me forever. Despite the awful last seasons, I will never get over Game of Thrones, no show has ever had such and impact on me and I always feel nostalgic and heartbroken when I rewatch the first seasons. Let's hope they do a better job with House of the Dragon.

*Hi, you can read this or not read it, it doesn’t matter to me, but it seemed to be taken better than I thought it would on another video about Jon & Dany so I’ve copied the whole thing and now I’m posting it here. This soundtrack speaks to their love, and it is played in the background in most of their interactions & scenes involving them together. It’s a lot to read I know, but it’s what I think about the relationship between the White Wolf & the Mother of Dragons.* One of the many things I love about the chemistry between Daenerys and Jon is that she’s not a Queen when she’s with him. I hope I’m saying this right, but her whole shtick is becoming the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, she’s grown all these years with one purpose, one conquest, one objective, and the Queen within her believes that the Throne is her birthright, and that she will stop at nothing until she sits on the Iron Throne and breaks the wheel that Aegon himself built so long ago. She has as Jon said, made the impossible happen, she has proved that she has the blood of the dragon, and by that power she will take what is hers with Fire & Blood. Never did she show any fear or doubt that she might not deserve or be worthy yet to take the Throne, she’s been high on Queenly Confidence for the past five seasons, never letting the real Daenerys within her get more of a foothold than the fiery Queen she appeared as on the outside. Until Jon Snow. Jon is the only man she’s truly able to cast aside the Queen inside her for. He brings out the REAL Daenerys, the one that does doubt and fear. She sees in Jon the personification of everything she wants to be as a ruler, and her equal by refusing to bend the knee because of his honest & fair standpoint that he simply does not yet know her well enough to pledge himself and his people to her. Even when he wakes up in the ship and “bends the knee”, they are still on equal ground. The dialogue of that scene can be misleading to some, because it appears that Jon is giving in like all the other milksops that were in her way, bending the knee and giving up his pride. Nothing could be further from the truth. When Dany stays and sees his scars for the first time, she is in complete awe of him. She knows that no man could be more selfless, more noble & worthy of Kingship than Jon. His selflessness continues to blow her away, with his first thoughts and words being for her, and only her. She knows that the fight against the Night King was all that mattered to Jon, and all that mattered at all if the living wanted to stay living in Westeros. The Wight hunt North of the Wall was vital to the prevalence of Life itself, and in this scene Jon wishes he’d never let the hunt take place, and he laments deeply for Dany, taking her hand into his own without hesitation. She gets more emotional here than I’ve ever seen Dany before, like ever. Dany doesn’t care that he has not “bent the knee”, she even appears to admire him for not giving in, and she knows because of Jon that just because the Iron Throne is her birthright doesn’t mean she deserves it. She gives him her word that she will fight TOGETHER with against the enemy in the North, but even though she does this, he pledges himself to her anyway. He calls her “My Queen”, which means more coming from his lips than the lips of any other person alive. She reveres him. She’s a totally different person in this scene compared to earlier ones. Here Daenerys is allowing herself to bare her whole heart to Jon, and only Jon. She casts away her thick dragon hide and lets Jon see her as she truly is inside. Her words “I hope I deserve it.” are very telling to her inner thoughts of what her true standpoint is in regards to her conquest. Jon tells her she does deserve it, and her fervent gaze into his eyes says it all.. Jon Snow brings out the real Daenerys Targaryen, and he even calls her “Dany” which may seem odd and random to some, but the familiarity between them is so strong at this point that calling her “Daenerys” wouldn’t have felt right to him at all. D&D said that both of them didn’t quite grasp just how strong their feelings towards one another were until he came back on Benjen’s horse, and these moments here on the ship. These two characters and their relationship is what I’m looking forward to the most for the final season(which is only a month away woohoo!!) if I’m being honest. D&D wrote them very well, and what’s more is the platinum acting skills that Kit & Emilia have with their characters. The looks that Dany shoots Jon through their interactions in season seven is VERY difficult to pull off for an actor, because it’s a look of desperate longing, and truest love, heartache etc., and the same goes for how Jon looks at her. It’s the interactions of two soul mates finally finding each other and understanding that they are soul mates. I love their chemistry and I wish D&D let us see more interactions between them. I loved the love scene between Robb & Talisa, how they captured every emotion & movement, and showed the moment when both characters decide to do exactly what their hearts are telling them, falling into each other and pulling each other’s clothes off... I really wish they could have done it a similar way with Jon & Dany, but the brief moments we got to see were plenty touching as well. I’ve never watched a love scene like Jon & Dany’s, it truly looked like a man and a woman making love, instead of just passionate sex and half-hearted eye contact like a lot of other love scenes. Once again, the impact of Jon & Daenerys’s eye contact is very hard to pull off, and it’s a miracle that it turned out that great, it’s priceless to see such amazing acting at work. I’m sure there’s gonna be a dramatic wedge driven between them after Jon’s parentage is revealed, but I highly doubt it’ll be for very long if at all. True love can’t be stopped, it’s like a raging river. You can’t dam it up, or slow it down, it’s gonna flow regardless of how slow you wanna take it, or how much you want to deny or postpone it. The more they’ll try to stay separate, the stronger their love will get, Mark my words.
