Why throw away 60+ episodes of great content just because the finishing 6 were poorly written?

“It's just a stupid sword," she said, aloud this time... ... but it wasn't. Needle was Robb and Bran and Rickon, her mother and her father, even Sansa. Needle was Winterfell's grey walls, and the laughter of its people. Needle was the summer snows, Old Nan's stories, the heart tree with its red leaves and scary face, the warm earthy smell of the glass gardens, the sound of the north wind rattling the shutters of her room. That’s how much of an impact that show left on me with all it‘s complex characters and places. To whoever reads this and misses the show like I do, you are not alone. There are quite a few of us spread around the world under our blankets listening to this beautiful music and having all that nostalgia hitting us like a train. Here in 2024 btw happy new year to al!! I've listened to this at night for nearly a week now and it's the only thing that has not only relaxed my body and mind, but helped me sleep properly for the first time in months!! I myself, love extremely dark foggy nights and the look of snowscapes even though I literally hate the cold though I was a winter born child myself. I love where the fog is so dense you can't see. Those nights you'll find me sitting outside in it, or going for a walk lol. It just always made me feel at ease and safe. This reminds me of those kinds of nights and I love it ❤

You're a poet... ❄❤
@Hawkeye-cm2pv5 жыл бұрын
@@thereandbackagain5051 - We are all artists, and poetry is a form of art. There are many other forms of art, but some of us just don't know what kind of artist we are yet. Musicians, authors, dancers... Many people even say that fighting can be a form of art. For example, take a look at the different Chinese and Japanese martial arts styles. Karate, Jujitso, Judo, Aikido etc. In action they look like a sort of dance, do they not? All the moves and forms flowing into each other so effortlessly. And as the martial artists follow the flow of these movements, we must remember to follow the flow of life. "The point is, not to resist the flow. You go up when you're supposed to go up and down when you're supposed to go down. When you're supposed to go up, find the highest tower and climb to the top. When you're supposed to go down, find the deepest well and go down to the bottom. When there's no flow, stay still. If you resist the flow, everything dries up. And when everything dries up, the world is darkness." Some more words of wisdom: "Happiness can be found, in even the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light". Look for happiness and beauty in the world around you and you shall surely find it. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". An old, gnarled tree can be either beautiful or ugly, depending on what you think of it. One can find hope and happiness in the death of a loved one, if you believe that they are in a better place. You rejoice, because you know they are in a much better place now, and because you know you can one day be with them in the paradise in which they now reside.

Why does this music always make me cry? Am I the only one? It's speaks to my soul & makes me feel so home sick & like I have wasted my whole life, living on the wrong place. I live in Southern England, but I feel like I am born in the wrong time, as well as in the wrong environment. It's like the ghosts of my ancestors live in me, & the call me home every time I hear music like this. One of my distant great+ grandfathers was a true Northern, who died in battle within a quarter mile from where I was born. I didn't even know this until I was around 35, & I have felt this urge my whole life. Sometimes I feel like he is in me & it's no coincidence where I was born. I just long for my spiritual home.

I broke up with my girlfriend of 3 years a few months ago. Right person, wrong time kinda thing. I was always a fantasy nerd and loved anything that had dragons, knights, elves, etc. For some reason (likely due to the 8th season) I never watched game of thrones. She introduced it to me, and it’s just one of THOSE things that has stuck with me above all other memories, for some odd reason. It was something we shared, and something that truly felt like “us.” It was OUR show. I listen to this song now when I reminisce about things. For those who have been through the stages of grief, you’ll understand what I mean when this song feels like acceptance itself - the feeling of blood and bond, love and loss, and winter being the time of year we both loved the most - it’s fitting, and it has a certain amount of closure to its sound that just… works. Crazy how the soundtrack of a show I’d never seen before her is now the “soundtrack” of this part of my life; all right before winter starts, too. Winter is here, it seems.

I thought you wrote depression because I slightly feel that way. Ugh, I wish they ended the finale in an enlightening or somewhat happy/hopeful note than leaving us a meh feeling.

A am saddened that we are coming to the end of this memorable and beautiful adventure. As is typical of hollywood, someone will try and duplicate GOT but will most likely fail. perhaps someone will, on the other hand, create something unique and new, and give us yet another adventure to savor.

Good grief, I don't think we'll ever experience something like Game of Thrones again, the countless memories of hangouts and discussions with friends, each year, each episode, it's just too unique of an experience. These years that have now passed, will forever be a milestone in my life, this is gonna be the thing you sit down and lament the bygone days of, with others of your generation 50 years from now.

Every year I rewatch GOT. Can't help it. Even if they destroyed the last 3 episodes of the last season, i don't really freakin' care... i will watch it always, forever. The music composed and produced by Ramin Djawadi is one of the most epic ones. He really deserved all the awards gained by composing these amazing songs.

NO ONE was teaching her to know who she really is : a high born lady(even though she dœsn't like calling her that lol) a stark member, her father and mother were noble and honest . Starks are the best family in the serie no doubt about that. He teached her to know her value and gain trust in herself and pursue her dreams , a wolf is braver with its pack. He knew from the beginning who she was and what is she capable of. Im in tears now ❤❤❤❤

The Old Gods and the First Men know the harshest and cruelest winters, they know the sting of its blade across their warm skin, they know the chill of its icy breath over their snow lain lands. The night it came would be the darkest, the coldest, the harshest night they had ever known. It stalked the fields and ate the tiller men whole, women and babes left hard and still in its grasp. Lords lit their halls aflame rather than submit to its blue eyes. Winter’s clouds settled over the land, no wind blew it away, no fires, no blades could pierce its chains of ice. There was one. One born amidst salt and smoke, one with a sword alive with the light of blazing fire. One of many names, one long forgotten. One who found the Rose in a field, The Black Stag in a storm, The Golden Lion, with eyes glowing green in the darkness, the Kraken restrained beneath ice and rock, while the Sun and its spear were held above the clouds, where the Falcon roamed in exile, with the dragons, whose flames turned blue. And the Wolf, with fur as white as winter and eyes red as the morning dawn, howling with the song of the wind. There was a time when Storms raged with the lions roar once, as well the Rose wilted in the sun’s heat, while the Kraken envied the Falcon, and when the Dragon’s slept . There was a time when the wolf howled with many, a great song sung in unison, now he was alone, but he remembered. He always remembered. With their sword ablaze with light in the black snows, they punctured winter’s shadow and carved its chain in twain. Light returned to the world, with its warmth. The summer snows became a distant memory in time, so did the sword aflame, the stags settled, the Lions rested, the Rose prospered, the sun blazed, the Kraken swam, the Falcon soared. The wolf got no chance. As night receded from the world, it’s fangs hung onto the edge, further north than his furs could suffer. So he stayed, he sat atop the edge of the world and waited. Awaited for its winds, it’s cold blade, it’s eyes of ice. Still, he stands there, sometimes with many, mostly alone, awaiting the day winter comes again.

Starks were the most humane, humble people and despite living in the north, in a hard climate, where everyone struggles to survive, where anyone could be killed easily by the other, less merciful tribes, they still kept their honor and fair judgment and suffered the most because of it. A lot of people talk about bow bad the story ended... They give valid reasons, and their feelings and protests can be justified, but man this series was a masterpiece! I hope i am not the only one who was filled with gratitude and awe at the end. If it ended the way everyone else would have wanted, then wheres the thrill and suspense and the questions. Should it always be the case that movies finish the way we expect? Isnt that what everyone does and thus renders everything similar. I have watched the last season so many times, i still get goosebumps even today. So much emotion when the dead came, and culminating to the last episode. I am not an expert in these things but i still say today that for me theres no better series i have watched and enjoyed like this one. Forever grateful to the men and women who gave us this offering!
