I liked the ending. Jon finally free from all the burden.(when the gate closed behind him he smiled. He is finally free with the free folk). Now almost everything is controlled by starks, real north-Jon, North-Sansa, Wsteros-Bran, west of westeros-Arya(i know arya is not really the leader there but she is exploring it on a ship and she is the captain.)

Yggritte's death was the kinda thing that i was hoping for and that is how it should have made us feel about all "Duty is the death of Love" or vice versa. Really disappointed and I'm glad that Jaby feels the same way! I'm sure we not the only ones!

I honestly didn't mind the results of the ending. (Although, if you think about it for more than five minutes, you realize there are a lot of problems. Really? Dorne and the Iron Islands won't press for their independence after Sansa does that? Their whole shtick is being independent). The problem is there's just no connective tissue. The scripts this season and last are just looking for beats to hit. "Then this happened and this happened and this happened." But . . . why should I care? The shortened seasons really destroyed the series' ending. Two ten episode seasons would've let the story lines breathe, allow the characters to make the connections and have the conversations that would give the emotional weight necessary to make the story beats work. What was Bran's motivation here? We didn't even get one. single. line. explaining Bran's intentions. So, why should we care he takes the crown? No one anywhere has any idea why he would want to, because it was never explained to the audience. The show runners just wanted out. And every time I think of that one interview with Benioff, "We just didn't think there was enough story left to tell to justify longer seasons," just cringe. Ah well. It's over now. There are better written shows out there I'm enjoying. I'll wait for Martin to finish up. I have a feeling the ending will make way, way more sense.

Rewatching with Jaby and he's saying exactly everything that I said myself. I loved this episode for the music, the acting, the scenes and I loved all the Stark endings, though predictable. But I'm worried about Bran, he's not exactly the saviour we thought he was. I thought he was the secret weapon to defeat the NK, his nemesis. He didn't do anything there, he didn't even prevent Rhaegal's death by being a scout. But I guess Bran has had enough of interfering with people' s destinies, especially after Hodor. And how did Grey Worm even let Jon stay alive after he killed Dany? We all know he's not as unfeeling as the other unsullied. And couldn't Dany have been brought to her senses by Jon the way Jon was brought to his senses by Tyrion? I know Jon tried but it wasn't hard enough. I guess it's like what Achara said, they wanted to end it and put a bow on it. All Dany's adventures in the east, the love she has there, her being "not her father", it has to mean something. She could have ruled the east, learnt about her heritage, the other magical properties of dragons apart from breathing fire, etc. Jon could have still renounced the throne and gone on North, since he's a Northerner by heart he couldn't bring himself to be Danny's paramour. Loved Arya and Sansa's ending. They deserve it. Tyrion breaking down over his siblings' dead bodies was the one scene where I teared up for the first time this season. Great acting by Peter and Emilia. I loved them in this episode.

In his paranoid state, Jon was her greatest threat, the rightful heir to the throne. I really expected them to go in that direction, which would led to a final confrontation between the two sides, but apparently Dany forgot all of that from one episode to the other, because she wanted to rule the world with jon happily ever after. Very underwhelming finale.

Its funny both of you mentioned john should of rode Drogon after killing Dany, I was thinking the same thing in that moment and how epic that would of been, it would of tied up johns arc and reason for being the true air to the throne and would of given him a weapon to stop the unsullied and dothraki from killing john for killing there beloved queen which didn't happen because they have to time jump to deciding who is now king/queen and everyone just forgets that john just killed the biggest mass murderer, evil crazy ruler of all time. This was the worst storytelling I have ever witnessed because there were no stroytellers working on this season just filmmakers, this season feels criminal to me.

Majorly disappointing but predictable ending. The GOT series finale is a great example of the T.S. Eliot quote "Not with a bang but a whimper." The acting was good, the actors made the best of what they were given. That's about the only bright spot I'll acknowledge. 😏 The plot pacing and the writing of these final two seasons have been off. It could be as some have said because D&D no longer have source material to work off of. The shorter seasons haven't helped either. I'm on the side of those that feel D&D shortchanged GOT in moving onto their new Star Wars project. Whatever the case may be, it's all led to a very unevenly paced final season and a dull splat of an ending to a show whose fans deserve better. Now I get to add GOT ending to a list that includes The Sopranos, St. Elsewhere, How I Met Your Mother, Lost, Quantum Leap, Dexter, and others I can't recall right now. Sigh...🙄 Hmmm..the last series finale I can recall I liked would have to be...POI and also Fringe.😁

Dany was never really meant to win the throne. The Iron Throne acted as the McGuffin. Once Dany started telling everyone to bend the knee to her and killing POWs like Randyll & Dickon Tarly, we knew her thirst for power had already consumed her. There was already some Adolf Hitler in her. Some Michael Corleone from The Godfather Part II and obviously Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith. As Arya said, she can recognize a killer. The writers didn't really "wrong" her character if that was the plan all along. I never saw a real difference between Cersei & Dany's ruthlessness. Except one had dragons and the strongest armies in the world and other didn’t. Not even elephants! Cersei just comes off more of a cunt but actions speaks louder than words. Words can hurt but actions can kill. Dany was meant to be written as the tragic figure to all this. If there was a real life Superman, wouldn't we feel threatened if he turned evil? We would be in awe at first but what if he wanted to rule the world? That's real life. The most powerful people will always be threats to any society. The Bran pick was the right move. Nothing malicious or vindictive about him. He's also just a cripple. He's going to kill people with his bare hands. The surprise pick but the most fitting. Ned, Cat, Robb, Theon, and Hodor are smiling down from up there. I'm happy the one who never wanted it ended up getting it. Some thought Bran was The Night King when he ended up becoming The King all along.

For me, it's ok...Agree that the season is a bit rushed. But the finale nevertheless is a good wrap.. ~~Drogon switching on Jon's side immediately after Dany's death is far-fetched. And Jon is conflicted. If Greyworm happened to enter the scene, Jon won't fight.. And even if he does, him dying at the hands of a character lower his character, that would be disappointing as well..

You guys didn't talk much about Bran. Someone who, for a few whole seasons, is being painted as an incredibly important and powerful character, then turns out to be nothing more than a Night King bait, finally becoming a king, because... "well he is, so shut up". All this time it's exactly the same as Jaby said about Jon and Dany's relationship - we're being informed that's how it's supposed to be and are expected to accept it. Now that I think of it, the only interesting thing about king Bran the Broken is how he little too easy becomes "royal", even though he said he "doesn't want at all" since becoming the Three-Eyed Raven, and how the whereabouts of Drogon seem to be the most important matter to him. It would be funny, if Bran's rule turned out to be much less benevolent than Tyrion could imagine (and would mean he again was a bad judge of character).

Yeah I cried in this episode, I cried because I felt so let down after watching this show for so long and defending it after the fight with the night king thinking it would get better because it's the last season right? Wrong, this episode just felt like so much of a flop like they had certain bullet points to meet and they went straight to them without giving us anything in between. Yes, I'm still disappointed with the way they developed this whole season and the plot holes in many areas and agree with how they should've added more episodes in the last season and this one. But as someone who hasn't been following many fan theories/predictions, this was an unexpected outcome for me. Plus, it manages to give every character and the whole show, an arc. Multi-layered arc. • The ever loving, loyal, faithful, and honorable man Jon Snow choosing betrayal. Duty over love. He was confused the last time he had to make such a choice (with Ygritte). • Wise, witty and arrogant Tyrion turning into a humble man with regrets (still witty though). • Bran the Broken, who went from crippled to not caring about the world or power (Three-eyed raven) to an all-seeing unbiased ruler of Six Kingdoms. • Sansa growing from an innocent girl to the Queen in the North. • Dany - a young, terrified girl to liberator and hero who then turns to a ruthless power-hungry conqueror. • House Stark - from being confined and content at their family home (Winterfell) to ruling the Seven Kingdoms and beyond (Arya being the sailor and all now). • Jon going back to the Wall and beyond where he grew up to be a man, met his first ever love. Also, uniting with Ghost. • The terrifying notion of going beyond the Wall at the very beginning of the show vs walking happily beyond the Wall at the end. • Even the show gets an arc -- Game of *Thrones*; the Iron Throne for which all these battles, betrayals and atrocities happened till now is no more at the end. Dragon fire made it, dragon fire destroyed it. • Other characters who is no more also had their respective journeys. Thus, the whole show getting an arguably well-rounded closure. May not be a neat one, but a closure nonetheless.

lately all great shows like HIMYM and GOT start out great and maintain that but when season finale comes I don't know what do they do...maybe they say hey we have worked hard enough all this while so we have earned a little smoke...(they all get high) hey we should start writing now. GOT, you have disappointed me big time. Could had taken tips from Jaby (seriously imagine Jon stabbing Dany and as he tried to stab her, she holds the sword from her hand, blood drops from her hands and she says I told you people would force you to claim the throne and you would be forced... They fight and Dany gets killed then greyworm comes and another fight takes place between Jon and Greyworm). Even Cersie didn't recieved the fate she deserved given all the things she had done.... She got off way too easily (this pissed me even more).... You are crying now? You want your baby to live well why the heck did you cut off Melisandre's head? Why didn't you surrender? You are crying now?... Give me a break... Look at the fate of Ramsay and LittleFinger...compared to them she faced nothing.

For the first time I have to disagree with you guys. Except for the Long Night episode, others were top notch. Nobody could have done anything better at this point in time, when the whole world is watching and waiting to nitpick over tiny details and what not. Am happy that they were still able to bring the expected things at unexpected times. This is how it has to end. Ending on a high note is one thing. But ending on a right note, that's what Game of Thrones is about.

I haven't watched the episode yet but read the summary. I normally NEVER do that. But ep 3 and then 5 just made me lose interest. As a huge fan of the show I would never have thought that before this season started (even though season 7 had issues) 😮😮 This isn't GOT. This is D&D's mindless fan fiction. No depth, characters became manichean, arcs thrown away, disjointed narrative... Jaime was one of my favourites and I felt nothing when he died because they basically retconned his character. Tyrion is unrecognizable. Jon is like a useless secondary character. Daenerys's turn is empty shock value. The 3 eyed raven plot completely underused. Lots of unexplainable and nonsensical moments... I don't know if I want to waste 80 min watching the finale. For now I'll skip your reaction and directly go to your review.

TO share the Most crucial Moments of the SHOW with the reactions....Not to completely ignore them like when they discussed who should be the King or Bran says..."Why I came all this way" We watch reactions for each and every single Moments with your reaction with it not to see 10 minutes of of the 80 Minutes Episode..... If this was reality I would be so mad at Jamie Lannister and than Brienne writing his good deed... I don’t think he did anything good .. he was just loyal to cersie and he couldn’t kill her but die with her .. stupid MoFo ... If he could kill her like Jon killed Danearys .... Danearys would be Alive and the story arcs will be completed much better ... And instead of one episode for white walker they could have gone episode 3 and 4 back to back and may be a mystery plot where bran is Night king who became the king after all .
