@@diana_thebooknerd Then don't open up the god damn show with the White Walkers, and don't let Jon spend his entire fucking arc talking about the army of the dead. The issue is that Emmy soundtrack nominations have to be composed specifically for the single episode they are featured in - they can't include any material from previous episodes. And, since this is an epic where music is used as a storytelling element through things like leitmotif, this piece will likely be disqualified due to incorporating the show's main theme around 5:18. I love how Night King has been portrayed in this music. Music isn’t full on dramatic or invoke terror, rather shows a haunting beauty, sadness, brokenness, and surge of strong emotions. This is what Night King is, someone bitter, cold, who had his humanity forced away from him, now bent on cold revenge. You can see (hear)how Ramin is painting the character. This soundtrack had more character development than Dany in Season 8

Agreed! I replayed the death scene just to watch Arya again...at first. Then I couldn’t stop replaying it bc this music!! So moving! So beautiful! This piece deserves MAJOR recognition!

Indeed. Too bad the writers can't keep up with Ramin and Sapochnik (the director) quality-wise.

The dragon remembered Jorah too and groaned for his mother's emotions in that scene. Jorah was there since the birth of the dragons. 'Blood of my blood', he had said that day and he did prove that, valiantly.

Ultra Urine Drogon grew up with Jorah and then saw him die, it was so sad. I’m glad they showed Drogon mourning him as well.

I agree, this episode wasn't good overall imo, but theon and jorah (my favourite character) death moments were truly touching and nicely done.

It's even more sad when you remember Drogon's life and spirit are linked to Khal Drogo's, who respected Jorah and was grateful to him for always protecting Dany

Ramin is beyond brilliant. All of his compositions seriously hit me in the feels stronger than any other music out there. I truly can not listen to this or hardly any of his others without crying like a baby. The way this composer makes me feel it out of this realm. Game of thrones wouldn't be near as powerful without his music.

His music for the Night's King did a lot of justice to an amazing character and villain that deserved a lot better than the trash writing he got. An intimidating force of nature, terrifying and very menacing but dignified and majestic.
