I really like the idea of the coin thing. In my head-cannon I like to think that the Faceless Men have long-since spread the rumour that denying someone with a coin passage brings the assassins to your door. But based on the level of respect shown by the captain, I wonder if the Faceless men themselves use these coins to hitchhike between the continents. A bit like Samara in Mass Effect 2. The justicars (kind of like warrior-monk + samurai in that universe) travel on merchant vessels and their captains welcome their presence. As they greatly deter boarding pirates. A bravosi merchant ship becomes something else entirely, if the captain yells that they have a Faceless Man aboard. There are probably few pirates willing to risk it.

@What ? S6E10 is only good until you realise that it makes no sense whatsoever - Cersei killing 1 of the 2 remaining family members that she trusts (Kevan) - Cersei killing hundreds of the last nobles who actually support her - Cersei killing most of house Tyrell, even though she desperately needs the grain and military support of the Reach - Cersei killing Pycelle for no reason - Teleporting Varys - Despite the High Sparrow having been blown up, the thousands upon thousands of Faith Militant that were outside the Sept spread out around the city didn't react whatsoever - The Knights of the Vale swearing loyalty to Jon even though they have no right to do so without the permission of their liege Robin Arryn As for S6E9, it was a cool battle until you realise that it was the most retarded move in the history of warfare for Sansa to not tell Jon about the Knights of the Vale coming to the rescue, essentially making the climax of the battle a deus ex machina
@rymdalkis5 жыл бұрын
@What ? Let me break it down for you: - Kevan was still at Cersei's side. For all of S1-6, all Cersei ever thought of was that her family were the only ones that mattered ("Everyone who isn't us is an enemy"). The fact that Kevan tried to prevent her from causing further damage may definitely have caused tension between them, but for her to blow up her own uncle? No, that was never who Cersei was - The hundreds of nobles I'm referring to is much of the royal court, i.e. most of the nobility in the Crownland as well as several houses from the Westerlands and the Reach. In a feudal society the king is desperately in need of the support, money, grains and soldiers of the nobility. To just have them be collateral damage in an attempt to avoid a trial is the quickest way get the entire Crownlands in rebellion - Killing House Tyrell because they "were a threat" is the dumbest excuse I've ever heard. Yes, they were a threat. But Cersei still needed the Reach for her rule to stay intact. That's why she spent all of S5 plotting in order to get the Sparrows to take the blame for brining down the Tyrells. Otherwise she could've just sent a couple of assassins and cut their throat. - Yes, teleporting Varys. The difference between Tyrion's travels from Winterfell, to the Wall, and then to the Eyrie, is that during S1 we could clearly see that time passed just as long for everyone else. In the same couple of episodes Ned travels from Winterfell to King's Landing and then arrange and hold an entire tournament. Daenerys travels from Pentos to Vaes Dothrak, becomes pregnant and sees Viserys killed. Jon almost finishes his entire training. But what happenes simultaneously to Varys going from Mereen to Dorne and then back to Mereen within the span of 2 episodes? Sam goes from Horn Hill to Oldtown (it actually took 4 episodes), Jon is halway to Winterfell, then fights for one day, and then just starts cleaning up the castle. - Baelish is lord protector of the Vale, but he has no right whatsoever to declare that the Vale submits to another house. That would be like your legal guardian being able to hand over your house to your neighbor. The lord protector oversees day-to-day business until the ruler comes of age - You're essentially counting up every battle before S6E9 as being without illogical things. Except for some reason Blackwater, even though you don't say what's so illogical about it. Also, you're essentially excusing the deus ex machina ending of S6E9 because "D&D fucked up and couldn't plan". That's no excuse. The director told them weeks upon end, both before and during filming, that the shoot would be impossible, but they were busy jerking each other off until they realised that they would never finish on time and instead just threw in this twist instead

@lexismith832510 жыл бұрын
Oh, true, I forgot that was the finale (haven't seen season 1 in a while). Yes, that scene is amazing, I agree. Idk, I just like the Mhysa scene because of the hopefulness that comes out of it. The season started with a bunch of horrific acts (Rob Starks beheaded corpse sewed to his pet's severed head, had Ygritte riddle Jon Snow with arrows, Balon Greyjoy opening a box revealing his son's severed penis, and had Theon begging to die.) and of course, the Red Wedding was this season... idk, to have it end on a positive note (Dany freeing slaves and shit) was really powerful. 6x10 is definitely the most exciting episode to watch (in my opinion). This is mostly because of all the climatic moments it has and the fact that it took place after what lots of people find to be the best battle in the series. Seasons 3+4 are considered to be the best by most people though, and for good reason. They were adapted from the most well liked book in the series and is the most put together part of the story. The ending of season 4 was wrapped up just so nicely. Season 5 was the first time the show started to get a bit messy.

@What ? sooo the best tv ever has Sansa being raped/abused for no reason, Dorne, the horrible kingslansing plot, arya spending most of her time cleaning... you sure known good tv yeah.
@RyoCaliente5 жыл бұрын
@What ? Sansa's abuse storyline served no purpose. It didn't advance her story or tell us something about her we didn't already know. It was a continuation of what she suffered at the hands of Joffrey. It doesn't tell us anything about Ramsay, and it ruins Littlefinger. At best it tells us something about Theon, but that could have been done with his book plot.
@niamhha90145 жыл бұрын
I think we can all agree that Dorne was absolutely butchered and that Game of Thrones is far better than the average TV show. Seasons 5-6 had more inconsistencies than the earlier seasons though. Earlier inconsistencies were usually caused by replacements of characters/sub plots. Lasted inconsistencies were cause by direct decisions (that were clearly not good after a second of thought) and lazy writing, and usually made a bigger impact of the story and enjoyment of the show. The good parts of the earlier seasons even feel better because of the well written build up and the characters dealing with the aftermath in a ways that make sense for them. Season 6 would've been considered the best by everyone if the overall writing was stronger and if Season 5 hadn't dragged out it's plotlines. It was also when plot armour became far more frequent (in a story that's famous for it's absence).

I find Arya and her story such a tragic thing, honestly. Especially in the books, she's lost all sense of innocence, childhood, or really, sanity. All that's left is a muddled identity and the desire to kill those who hurt her. I would say she's a sociopath, but that's obviously not true. She feels, she knows there is something inside her, but for the life of her, she can't take it out. I feel in a way that she's in the same emotional state as Sansa, yet both show it differently. Both went to great lengths to survive in very different ways (because if you think Sansa just waltz through spending years at court, you're mistaken. One misstep, one wrong word, and she's gone. The great thing is how well she can veil her insults in courtesies and confuse people with them.), but either way both are still damaged. Sansa seems to be growing stronger, though she shows it in a more stoic way. Arya, I worry for, because I don't feel like she'll end the series unscathed. I can't imagine her living a normal life in Westeros after what she's been through. Sansa, while her life might not be nightmare-free, I can imagine being at least a bit, if not happy, content.

I feel as if she's supposed to be this killer, crazy, awesome little girl. She is a tomboy after all, and she has no desire to marry any man or become a princess or queen or anything like that. That scene makes me sad, Arya feels like she lost everything. Her mother and brothers are dead, Winterfell burned... She's only a child and there's no longer anything holding her to this part of the world :'( But at the same time, it's also a new beginning. Ahh, such a cool scene and ending to a season.

This is where the show ends for me. Tyrion's fallen from his lordly grace and his scheming got him sent of God knows where. Arya's going to meet back up with Jaqen H'ghar. Perfect. I just wish the next four seasons hadn't happened.

I binge watched the first 4 seasons for 4 days back in summer 2014, and for some reeson didn't happen to watch the rest of the show when it was out. So this was literally the end of game of thrones for me.

Absolutely divine. The Children. Children's Choir. A child going off, but in her heart, knowing she'll come back to avenge her family. First time a choir singing over the epic series signature composition. Everything about this was brilliant.

Look at this epic ending! She's finally going to Braavos and meeting Jaqen! Then the Braavos arc turned out to be a poorly handled mess.
@anja16278 жыл бұрын
:( I was really bummed with Arya's storyline in Braavos. It had the potential to be awesome but I don't know what the writers did. It seemed like they did not know where to go with her character. Towards the end of season 6, she finally goes back to Westeros and gets her revenge. But I think her Braavos storyline was unresolved. And the dorne/sand snakes storyline was an embarrassment and a disgrace. Those 3 actresses could not even deliver. Their acting was bland and wooden. I can no longer take them in the show. Their acting and presence make GoT a B-show. The writers should just kill them off in season 7 ep 1.
@aryahghar86608 жыл бұрын
Ikr The actors are great , mostly Jaqen but Braavos is so good in the book and Arya is getting brilliant while in the show they turned it into some twisted Arya/Jaqen/Waif triangle. There is no bulling, no abuse in the book. They keep her safe and train her and you can see how good she becomes unlike the show Arya. I still like it when compared to other storylines in the show. Pretty much everything looks bad when compared to the book.

This is THE most thrilling piece of the whole series and perfectly fitting to the father and son ultimate scene, crumble of the old order and 3 other main characters leaving the old life for good, burning bridges behind and looking forward into the unknown to the new one. A masterpiece for storyline, visuals and music.
