Ok. John didn't all of a sudden bend the knee. He did it because she proved herself a trustworthy ruler who lost her child (dragon) doing the right thing for his people when she didn't have to. Sure she did that by letting him get the dragon glass, but Jon couldn't afford to put the lives of his people in the hands of a person who he thought was like the other kings and queens who felt they should rule just because. He lost too much to have trusted her from the start. Jon is a soldier at heart. Best way to earn his trust and loyalty, is if you are willing to fight along side him. She did that and lost a dragon. She proved herself worthy like she did to the people she freed.

"John didn't all of a sudden bend the knee. He did it because she proved herself a trustworthy ruler who lost her child (dragon) doing the right thing for his people when she didn't have to." and thats a shame. he didnt trust her in the cave when she told him she would help him, so she had to sacrifice her dragon?.......smh

She didn't have to sacrifice her dragon. It was the fact that she went out there not knowin what would happen. She had to do something like that sadly, tho. Little finger gave his word to Ned that he had his back, but what happened. How did Tormund or Davos have to earn Jon's trust after being his enemy.

Bingo!!! Excellent comment. Their entire relationship has been a give and take. Dany now has a powerful new ally to help with the losses she suffered with dorne and the tyrells. Jon now has a powerful ally to fight the army of the dead. Cersei and the Night King are going to get it.
@Mohamed.M.90

The night king would've caught one the dragons sooner or later with that surprise spear whether or not Jon bent the knee in the cave. I don't think you can gameplan for some shit like without seeing it first hand. If Jon bent the knee and pledged his men to Dany they wouldve wrecked Cersei first and circled back for the white walkers. By that point it might be too late because the army of the dead grows after they battle they win. Now she knows what the white walkers are. Losing Viserion was a tough loss but if the North, Dany, and the other western lords band together they'll win the war and it'll be worth it. Cersei is fucked either way.

Besides being fine as hell, Dany loves Jon because he's her equal. First man who is worthy to love. He's a King! The only man she had on her level before was Drogo and she learned to love him, just like Jody called. He's given her sound advice, and shown he cares about his people too by not easily bending the knee and commanding respect. The Throne Room started it, the cave and touching Drogon amped it up, and when she saw Jon fighting and willing to die to save her n the crew, that was it. She's fallen hard. I ain't mad at her. Jon put in quick Mack work. When he called her Dany she kinda checked him but when he changed to "my Queen" Dany was done. Y'all are tripping if you cant see it. They bout to bone. Lol

Holy shit.. that was probably the best episode critic i've seen so far.. You guys nailed it on spot.. i 120% agree with every single word you guys said.. specially about Dany season 1-6 and 7... if it were Khaleese dany, cersei would be done by now.. actually Tyrion protected cersei more than the mountain this season and i freaking hate him for that... i too want him dead.. he is a traitor in disguise... She should've burned KL to the ground, that wouldn't make her Mad, that would've made her TARGARYEN (that's how her house were built.. suddenly dany has to be a perfect princess who fight with hugs, otherwise she is mad.. that's BS)... TYRION i fucking hate him after this season.. as i said, he's a traitor in disguise who's protecting his sister... i mean, wtf, he killed thousands in the blackwater, it was ok.. he killed his freaking father.. its ok.. but now, she cant kill in the war... its wrong.. FUCK THAT TYRION! Varys another idiot.. the guy use to know everything aboubt everyone.. but now he knows nothing.. JS was a idiot and he was the reason viserion died (funny is, Dany told she hated heroes because they do stupid things to outdo others.. and that's exactly what jon did.. at least he bent the knee.. that was only good thing he did this episode..)... Grats, guys, i love see your reactions and this discussion was super worth to watch!

fave characters die in GOT but what made it so great was the good writing. When ppl got mad the the death of characters, it was because of the story itself and is connection to the characters. But the death of the dragon in this episode was less to do with the GOT world and more till do with how cheesy the writing was.

Viserion caught one in the neck so he was going down regardless. No armor would've helped with that. I feel the romance they're building is actually really good all things considered. It doesn't feel forced at all to me. There has been a give-and-take in their relationship and both parties now get what they want. I have to give Emilia some credit as well because she has been incredible in her acting with the subtle looks and expressions. The suicide squad camaraderie and dynamic was awesome too. I give this episode a 9/10.

I agree this was the most epic and worst written season of the show. Literally GRRM would have killed 90% of the suicide squad that went eastbound. Tormund, Beric, Davos, Hound, all dead. And definitely Gendry. GRRM would have killed them all and it would have been heartbreaking but at least realistic for the way this show was mean to be.

I seriously could ONLY HOPE. I think the producers need to take their SWEET ASS TIME. I'll wait two years for a good last season. There were so many days of our lives twists and turns that it's making me appreciate Twin Peaks because it takes forever to come together but once it does it feels COMPLETE. This literally feels like fanfics I wrote in 6th grade. Without the dragons.
@witchwaves7103

BlushGush I know. Like I've been commenting earlier I believe the biggest issue with this season was that it felt very rushed. There's only 8 episodes and although they're longer it really doesn't feel that way. Which makes me worry for next season because it only has 6 episodes and so much to cover and conclude.

In this scenario he would kill them all. No way they could survive like 20 days on that island surrounded. That is the time needed for Dany to come there. Also, no way NK would wait 20 days. Wite walkers bring freezin cold with them. LAke would be frozen way more quick then in this episode.

visiblewaves I know. That's why I'm worried for next season because there's only 6 episodes and so much to wrap up, so many storylines that needs to be concluded in some way. They should make the episodes at least 30 minutes longer or have the finale be 2hrs.
@antivenom1418
@antivenom1418 7 жыл бұрын
visiblewaves oh so you would rather watch what happens every day then? Do you realise how big of a time frame this show has and may I stress this fact that the writers of the show love the viewers so much that instead of putting the snow in through cgi they actually waited in a country until snow came along so that they could shoot the episodes in winter which is another reason why this season is short not just because of the budget, also just because three major characters died including a dragon doesn't mean this is a shit episode and I can guarantee that the majority of people who watched the red wedding were also looking for stuff to blame there hate on and that episode has in fact stopped people from continuing on and so just because some characters died and some other stuff that happened in this episode. So stop your whinging, how do I know your whinging because your typing and your complaining, I mean look at John he's stabbed to death but you don't see him complaining.

Fools Rules not every day but feels like there is scene or two cut that would explain motivation of characters. Since they ran out of original material motivation of each character is poor, if any. Like why Davos defended dead body of some nice dude he met, and risking own life for worthless corpse? Woudl you do that? Or how sand snakes avenge Oberyns death? By killing hes brother and nephew. This is just old stuff and every season it is worse then before. Feels like CW arrow/flash/LoT shit writing.

Anyone else notice that when Beric talks to John about Killing the Night King as they were facing off, the White Walkers were holding exactly three spears (one for each Dragon?). The Night King had one, two White walkers had spears and the other two were just holding Ice Swords. Leads me to think that he knew the Dragons were coming. Seemed pretty specific.

the scene with Brienne and Sansa meant a lot to me because rather than have her stay to defend Sansa or be a meat wall between her and Arya, Sansa chose to have Brienne go south. it was actually the most selfless/wisest decision she has made. she risked her own safety by having Brienne leave just to ensure that no Starks are in potential hostage situation in Kings Landing. that moment after Brienne leaves where you see Sansa thinking was pivotal to me.

@PDemi
@PDemi 7 жыл бұрын
That's one way to look at it...I believe it's the wrong view. Sansa sent Brienne away because she did indeed fall for the Littlefinger trap. The smart thing to do was to simply ignore the invitation...if it's even a real invitation! Why in the world would Sansa send anyone south? In the same episode Sansa states that all of the lords are borderline backstabbers and can't be trusted...in the same episode she tells Arya that she has many lords that she trusts and will protect her. She's losing it again and Littlefinger is guiding the situation.
@goran77ish
@goran77ish 7 жыл бұрын
PDemi Nope. You are wrong. If Brianne was arround that woudl be the problem. If Arya acts like little psycko she woudl have to defend Sansa from her, so kill Arya. SHe shore alligence to Sansa, not Arya. No she did not sear to serve both daughters to Cat. SHe promissed that she will take them back but not serve them. But she serves Sansa now. Besides, whole season we see Littlefinger giving sneaky looks telling you from a mile "See I plot again". So subtile. Not. Cheapest and oldest trick to make you think he is the player but they will make the twist at the end he was the ball. Shocker! At least they are doing poor job building that.
@upfulsoul826

That scene made no sense whatsoever. It seemed like a dumb decision to me and that's why she rudely avoided any debate about it. Brienne is her only trustworthy confidant and protector.
@PDemi
@PDemi 7 жыл бұрын
Exactly, she'll find out soon enough that she isn't as smart as she thinks she is. Arya is playing Littlefinger and using Sansa to do it. Sansa continues to show signs of stupidity, although she has improved greatly. She says she doesn't trust Littlefinger yet she continuously confides in him. She believes she is the savior when in reality, she's been saved many times by Hound, Tyrion, and Littlefinger and could have lost it all if either of them changed their minds. She sent Brienne away because of the mind game that Littlefinger played on her.

Jon was to busy out there being brave and flexing for Dany that's why the dragon got the javelin. But y'all are right, Dany went to save "her man". When she flew in to save them , Jon was like damn look at my girl wrecking shit, she fine ain't she ? 😂😭. It took 6-7 episodes for Dany to fall in love with Khal, Grey Worm and Massendei JUST consummated their relation after a few season. So in GOT timing Jon and Dany could have eyes for each other after 6 episodes (a few months have gone by theoretically). The googley-eyed longing looks between them two help to build up the sexual tension. Answer to your question: They fall for each other because they see themselves in the other person; both inspirational figures, both loved by their followers, both honorable etc. I think Jon has the magical seed that will break Dany's curse - she'll get pregnant. We know they will likely have an heir because Tyrion eluded to her setting up succession and then Jorah told Jon to pass Longclaw down to his own children.

Jody, I don't think you understand that the only way the wall can come down is with Dragon fire... Last season Uncle B explained to Bran that the wall is also protected by magic and it would take something kind of epic to bring it down... so from a writing perspective, they kind of needed one of the Dragons to turn in order for the wall to be brought down... My guess is we will see that Dragon melt the wall at eastwatch next eps or at the start of season 8... I know you're heartbroken, and I'm sorry bruhh, but it was needed to progress the story and at the same time make the Night King a scarier threat.

Here's another thing: despite being seen by various people, the white walkers are generally disinterested about being discovered. The best example is Hardhorne. The Night King could've destroyed Jon and the rest of the wildlings without a witness to testify about their existence. Yet they didn't, in fact, the Night King wants to put a show of force to those that manage to escape; showing Jon, for example, that he can reanimate the dead & add them into his army's ranks. For whatever reason or tactic or strategy, the Night King wants to instill as much fear as he can into others. Why he wants to do that is unknown.

I feel like they're trying to cram way to much into the few episode the show has left. things are getting rushed I admit I defend the show maybe more then it deserves but now it feels like its going too fast which is funny cause the reason they gave for the shortened seasons was to avoid filler but now it feels like its skipping dialog scenes or something. I always thought maybe theyd concentrate on the war with cersie this season and walkers the last but instead theyre trying to do both at the same time

Jon and Dany's attraction is not forced. They feel a genuine connection because they are both Targaryens (still unbeknownst to them) and they see a lot of things they admire so much from each other (and they aren't exactly too bad to the eyes appearance-wise either). There is real love and respect between these two. They are characters depicting humans. They are supposed to have flaws. Dany did feel grief over Viserion's death but it was so subtle and it almost seemed so ambivalent. I did want to see her a bit more distraught over his death but her character has already developed. She's no longer the same Khaleesi that became hysterical when she lost her dragons back in season 2.

The thing is that the entire continent must be united against the white walkers. I mean, whatever working scenario you might have in yo head killin' Cersei, Jon put it on point: everything turning into ”a graveyard”, if they don't stop fighting each other. It's like that old proverb, when two are fightin' the third's winnin'. In a way, that was one of the meta lessons the show has told since episode 1 in the first season, and Ned Stark chopped his head off without telling nobody that a Nightwatchman renegade abandoned his post because his three-man squad was killed by the undead. Think about that, since season 1 they knew what was about to come and they killed him. Here's another thing that you might not have seen: that wasn't the entire white walker army. I'll say it again: all of that wasn't the bulk of the white walker army. At best, it was a brigade or regiment. I have one proof: there was no giant among them. That is a clear indication that the bulk of the white walker army is strategically positioning itself in front of the wall, right at Castle Black. Brood over that: they didn't even brought their entire undead army upfront and they managed to get a dragon. They're THAT powerful, and even before they got the dragon. They're really powerful and only Jon & Sam can fanthom truly how dangerous the white walkers are. In fact, there's a theory (unless it was proven), way back when Mormont (Jorah's father) was alive, that the expedition team (you know those that would rebel at Craster) actually made contact indirectly with the white walkers. Since then, the Nightwatchmen knew the herculean danger they were going to face. However, because Craster was a cunt and the majority of the expedition team was basically so demoralized, they said ”fuck it” and rebelled. Sure, Jon would eventually kill them, but they were the only witnesses (besides Jon and Sam) regarding the white walkers and they resigned because it was considered hopeless. Think about that, a bunch of Nightwatchmen thought at that time there was no chance to unite the continent. It's a complex subject if we are to talk about in in-depth but it's very smart.

I agree with you. I remember GRRM comparing the Night King to climate change, a problem that everybody ignores yet happening. And i think GRRM wants to emphasize on this that while everyone is fighting for the throne, there is one bigger picture that everyone should see and a bigger problem that must be faced. They must unite in order to defeat the Night King. No, Jon and Daenerys can't just burn Cersei and take her army. No matter how big the dragons are, it still wont be easy for them. They must still go and fight a war, lose army, lose men, that wont be beneficial for them in the long run. If they do kill Cersei and take her army, they would still face the problem of losing men. So the best way to defeat the Night King is for them to be united, or else everyone would die, and all of the characters, plots, theories and everything that happened all through out the episodes of GOT will be put to waste.

Dany didn't go only to rescue Jon, but also for Jorah (it's mentioned in the post-episode), because it would be a betrayal of everything he's done for her to not even try to save him. Also, she's tired of doing 'nothing', as she said to Tyrion, the same way she said "what kind of Queen am I if I don't risk my life for my people?' And Jon didn't turn back (away from Dany reaching for him on Drogon) for no reason - he saw more of the dead attacking only feet away, too close for Drogon to burn without hitting allies. So Jon decided to fend them off while the others climbed on with the captured dead guy, because the mission was the priority and Jon has always been the 'last one fighting to protect the rear' self-sacrificial type. Okay, but why didn't Jon jump on once Jorah called to him? That's just because he wasn't seeing it from the audience's perspective and didn't know the Night King was rolling up with a fucking ice javelin of death. We're screaming at him to hurry, knowing there's an immediate threat, but from Jon's point of view the Dragon Queen just rocked up with three big fucking Flying Weapons of Mass Destruction that are handing the dead their asses - it's amazing, uplifting (just listen to that music haha), and the dragons don't seem super vulnerable to him just then, so he worked on protecting the people scrambling onto Drogon. And that touches on a major point - _nobody_ in the show thinks of anything as a realistic threat to the dragons. Dany said in episode 2, when she wanted to go hunting alone for Euron Greyjoy's fleet, "I wouldn't be alone. I would have Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal. _What can anyone do to them_ ?" When Tyrion tried to convince her not to go to the rescue this episode (which you seemed mad about haha), he worried _she_ might die from something like an arrow, not that one of the dragons might die. He just saw Drogon shake off a bigass scorpion bolt to the shoulder! Everybody thinks of the dragons as kind of indestructible. Which is why Dany felt fine swooping in with all three of them in a massive, confident show of force, and why it was such a horrific, unexpected shock to everyone there when one fell. And that was why Dany said she didn't regret going, even though she was clearly devastated and grieving. Before, she didn't _really_ realize that Jon was right about the White Walkers being THE ULTIMATE threat and the main priority/real war. She sort of believed they and the dead existed from the cave drawings, but she didn't viscerally _know_ , and she certainly wasn't thinking of them as more important than the Lannister Queen on her father's throne. Like she said on the ship, "You have to see it to know. Now I know." Realizing what Jon Snow has been up against, and also realizing from his scars that he did, as Davos said, literally die for his people, greatly increases her respect and regard for him. She already liked and admired him and was drawn to him because he's the first other ruler she's ever met that shares her morals and cares so much for his people; they have a lot in common in that they both rose to power from nothing; they're both protectors; he's an equal that she can speak to and relate to on level ground; he's willing to risk himself for the greater good, just like her; her favorite dragon really seems to like him and doesn't scare him off even after roaring right in his fucking face; etc. etc. But now, in addition to all that, she has seen him in action and knows that he lives up to what everyone has said. And the same is true for Jon with regard to Dany - they've been on Dragonstone talking and hearing other people vouch for each other's character, but it's in this episode that they finally see the other person's _actions_ firsthand and find out they really live up to the talk. Just like Dany only had indirect evidence of Jon's deeds and the White Walkers's existence before this, Jon only had other people _telling_ him that she's a good person and queen, he didn't really know her well enough yet to judge for himself. He hasn't followed her journey for 6 years like we have - he couldn't know if she was trustworthy enough to pledge to, if she would be a tyrant like her father, or if kneeling to her would just drag his armies South for a war with Cersei when they needed to be focusing on the threat in the North. She said she would fight for the North if he bent the knee, but would she expect them to fight against Cersei first, which would mean losing men they needed to fight the Night King? Was she being genuine or just telling him what he wanted to hear so he would kneel? He didn't _know_ , not for sure. Until now. That's why Jon had such an amazed and awed expression when he saw her on Drogon's back, and that's why he finally agreed to pledge to her - not because one of her dragons died, but because he has now seen for himself that she's exactly the kind of ruler her followers described: someone who protects others from monsters and is willing to risk herself to do so. Anyway. I thought these developments in finally bringing these two 100% onto each other's side and believing in each other were incredibly important, and more well done that a lot of other haphazard things on the show right now. Last thing. George R. R. Martin will hopefully have better writing/pacing/plotting in his endgame (he'd _better_ , with years of planning and thousands of pages to do so, lol), but Jon and Daenerys coming together is still going to be a major focus of the series. That's not something the TV show is just making up without his input. The director of tonight's episode, Alan Taylor, just had a post-episode interview in Deadline where he talks about shooting an episode way back in Season 1, where George Martin was present. He says, "Anyways, [George] alluded to the fact that Jon and Dany were the point, kind of. That, at the time, there was a huge, vast array of characters, and Jon was a lowly, you know, bastard son. So it wasn’t clear to us at the time, but he did sort of say things that made it clear that the meeting and the convergence of Jon and Dany were sort of the point of the series." It'll certainly play out somewhat differently than in the show, but it's still going to be there.

Well, I dunno about your comment section but the people who make the show don't agree, from what they said, haha. Personally I thought her reunion with Jorah was really touching - she hugged him close to her, in front of other people even, like what! She never breaks her image and gets that close to people, always maintaining a queenly distance. She was clearly worried when he offered to go North, and she was pretty sweet during his departure too, putting her hands in his affectionately. It sucked that he left the same episode he came back and they didn't get to talk more, but that comes down to the same issue of the season being on fast-forward. A lot of things that I would love explored more have been getting cut short that way, unfortunately. :/

Also, Dany was just frustrated with "Drogo, Jorah, Daario, even this Jon Snow" for being heroes, who feel the need to do stupid, brave things. Well, Dany is also a Big Damn Hero. Going off to the rescue was stupid (from a big-picture perspective) and brave, but she did it anyway because that's the kind of person she is. Imagine the reaction people would have if she'd just sat there, done nothing, and let them die.

Jon decided to bend the knee based off Tormund's words about Mance for sure. Also, when the Night King threw the spear at Viserion... he was breathing fire. The wound from the spear caused his firebreath to backfire on himself and wound him. That's why he was extra fucked up. Also, Benjen served his purpose, he was already tracking the Night King's movements and he wanted to be free from undeath...what better way to go out then saving your beloved nephew. As much as we wanted more interaction, there just wasn't time and we know that Benjen couldn't go past the wall again anyway after he told that to Bran. They like each other because they are Ice and Fire and they have a connection. Their stories are parallel, they were underestimated their whole lives with people viewing them as less than and have slowly grown into the compassionate leaders they are now. Jon saved the wildlings, Dany abolished slavery in the East. I understand it feels rushed but It's late in the game so they have to speed it up a bit. Dany had a prophecy about finding love again and I think Jon is her soulmate, Melisandre was kinda implying it.

*Why did the Night King killed Viserion instead of Drogon?* I mean, it's pretty obvious: Drogon was stationary, he wasn't a threat & he wasn't thought to be going anywhere, Rhaegal kinda disappeared for a moment, and Viserion happened to be within close range of the battlefield. So naturally the Night King attacked the one that would be the immediate threat and took Viserion out. If he would've taken Drogon first (which would've killed Dany & the rest of the rest of the crew, without Jon), Viserion & Rhaegal would've went apeshit and directly attack the Night King & put an end to his ice cold reign, kamikaze style. The Night King definitely possesses above average or genius level of intellect. He ain't a fool or careless, that's for sure. Think about it, only Tywin Lannister or Robb Stark possessed this level of commanding brilliance.. But it is scary, like the proverbial saying, ”be not scared of an army made of lions led by a sheep, but fear an army of sheep led by a lion”. In this case, the Night King and his lieutenants are the lions commanding an army of mindless, dead walking, sheeps.

I think they show is trying to incorporate the Aegon Targaryen invasion with the Golden Company. That is the conventional war that will rage across central Westeros while Stannis is working up in the North. Since the show has Stannis dead and no Aegon, they are giving the invasion to Dany and it doesn't make sense because of the dragons. Then again she is still missing in the books. This is just weird. I like it, don't get me wrong, but it's not the books.

Well the only way you can explain Dany falling in love with Jon is with her history of lovers like Tyrion said. Every person that has fallen for her or she has fallen for has been the hero type of person. It makes sense for her to fall in love with someone like Jon especially after seeing him somewhat sacrifice himself so Danny and companions could fly out safely. Jon fell in love with her because the way she rules over her people, how people speak of her (Missandei speaking greatly of her), and as well as her looks I mean who wouldn't. At least that's what I think it could just be the inner fan boy coming out.

To the idea that a faceless Man cannot use a person's face without killing them, how did Arya see her own face at the House of Black and White, when she removed several faces (i don't recall if it was Jaquan H'Gar who was laying on the floor when she did this) from the FM on the floor? She saw several familiar and unfamiliar faces and stopped peeling faces when she got to her own face.

I have always been on board with Kaleesi being in charge. The fact that Jon behaved this strange way during the battle where he went further and further away from Drogon was most strange. It was almost as if he was planning on heading towards the night king, which is strange considering how many more dead were around. About Cersei I believe that she is pregnant, not that that matters since I am pretty certain that she is going to lose the baby (phropecy by Magie the Frog). The fact that Jon and Dany fall in love though, I approve of that decision by the writers. They are both amazing characters and I think they notice a bit of their own positive character traits reflected in the other person. They are both selfless, both care equally about their subjects and the realm, they are both firm believers in justice but also in forgiveness. The way I see it the two of them are the two sides of a coin. Put together they are the rulers that the realm needs. I don't think it's all that suprising that they fall for each other. I just hope that the scripts for season 8 that you can find on the internet are fake, since it would upset me quite a bit if that's what's in store for us.

They had to even the odds for the night walkers think about it. 3 dragons, dragons glass and valerian steel. Even though the dead have the numbers they would be wiped out . Plus if you killed one white walkers several of the dead that follow him dies . Did you guys notice that . The dead are really weak bones look how 6 guys took out hundreds of them on that rock. So the dead were at a disatvatage now that they have a dragon they can burn the wall down.

Quan Zilla I understand that. Production days are 12 hour days for a week sure, but during the development stage, as they're working on the script, I'm 99% sure GRRM has a hand in it. Plus, I know D&DB are the writers, not GRRM. Have you seen what he's been up to by the way??? Stormrage I know that, I was just trying to make a point to the other comment that he has time for executive meetings. Sorry for the mix-up. But yeah, they discussed the ending and I'm sure other things, but KEY plot points are approved by GRRM I'm sure, not just who sits on the iron throne. They have derived away from the books but I don't mind that, a direct adaption may not always be the best option for a cinematic storytelling scope. But they've done a pretty good job without sticking too close to the books I think. One episode with a few logical issues is not as bothersome to as it is to others. The book readers have always been complaining for years and people will hop on the train as usual. Anyway, point is, a few pacing and logical issues in one or two episodes won't shy me away from the show anytime soon.

The ice spear is the Other's version of Valerion steel. A Valerion sword is a one hit kill for Others. Jon faught an Other and his Valerion sword didn't shatter while regular swords shattered against the Other weapon. So it makes sense that a White spear is an instant kill for dragons.

Rebel Pete but was it his plan for them to decide to only go with 13 men, no horses, no dragon glass weapons etc, it's stupid fan fiction writing. This is now getting to the crux of the show, a war between the living and the dead, everyone who is living vs the walkers, the show has spelt it out with Jon's quote. The internal politics, and characterisation is null and void, they're running out of time, they have to keep the plot moving towards this end

I think you guys take this show a litte too serious. I mean I'm a big fan too but it's a tv show the characters make mistakes, there're fictitious and not perfect and why can not a fictional character develop further (in relation to Tyrion and Jon are out of character) ? And the most important thing is that GRRM is still involved with the show. He already told the directors how the story will end. I think they do not have enough room to deviate from the actual story. But that's just my opinion, i think you should calm yourself a litte and wait for the final. I'm pretty sure we'll all get some hoped for answers.

Question 2: Danny developed affections for Jon because Tyrion planted the seed in her head at the beginning of the episode. Question 3: I don't think we will have a brienne sex scene. I think Sansa sent her to die. Also, I think Danny can give birth to an heir if she bends the waist for Jon. Targaryan + targaryan should equal successful breeding. Great chat guys. OH YEAH. Another major plot hole: Isn't Arya supposed to have amazing lie detector skills after being with the faceless men? Shouldn't she have been able to tell Sansa was telling the truth about being forced to write that letter?! I honestly think she must know and is carrying this on to fuck with Littlefinger. Remember she is supposed to be able to read people better than anyone. Plus it was weird that she is even so mad at Sansa, she was like 12 being tortured and held captive by Jeffrey getting beaten and threatened. She was a scared little girl, she wasn't about to defy them and get killed. Plus Jon just bent the knee anyway so he isnt even king anymore so who cares if Sansa wants to rule the North. She is technically the heir considering she is trueborn and she is doing a good job while Jon is off with Dany. Plus It's because of her they even have Winterfell, remember Jon initially didn't want to fight Ramsay for it? And she saved the day with the battle with the Vale. So technically she should be ruling anyway!

As for tyrion, he said don't go. Tyrion has been written poorly this year, I chalk that up to condencing the season to 7 eps.

Idk why people were so shocked at how the dragon could be so damaged by the ice spear. The spear hit the dragon right where its dragon fire is generated from inside it's body. When it hit the dragon it was in the middle of blowing fire, which if you notice blew out the side or chest area of the dragon. The dragon is a mystical creature, but it isn't immortal. If you go back and watch tons of blood gushed out of the wound all the way to the ground. Maybe if the dragon hadn't been blowing fire at the time the wound wouldn't have been as severe.
