A story of tragedy is still a story of tragedy wether it be a play in a book or movie or tv show. If you watch the entire series ...what part of tragic and sad events did you miss? In the first season alone there were more than enough to show you the way of the story. Ending in Ned Stark being Beheaded. Then the loss of Drogo as he died Danys Baby.. The Red Wedding. Theons grand adventure with a maniac....Ygritte and Jon....pain and Death through out... So many shocking moments ...as Ramsey Bolton said " if you think this has a happy ending you haven't been paying attention"... Or words to that effect.

Infinity Viserion had downward curved horns unlike his two brothers. But yes there were several episodes where it was hard to tell which dragon is which. It also seemed that they shrunk somewhat in size from Season 7 to 8

Season 2 she literally threatens to take Qaarth with "fire and blood." Targaryens have substantial lore (even in the show) to indicate that they're bat-shit crazy. People like you just don't pay attention to that fact and don't care, as long as you can join in on the internet hatefest and feel like a part of something. Must be difficult being so alone and so angry that you not only have to gripe on YT videos about your problems with a TV show, but that you have an account dedicated to that notion complete with a stupid fucking name and a pic of Dany... The irony is, it is a pic of her when she burns a man alive and interrupts a millenia-long practice of slavery in a foreign land she had no business dealing with or even being in. Not to say slavery is a good thing or that it should be practiced, but horrible things happen daily that people let slide. In China they butcher dogs for a week and eat them, tens of thousands of dogs. I don't see anyone heading to China with nukes indicating that this practice needs to end, because its a part of their fucking culture. Its horrible but its what they do, and just because you or I do not agree with it does not mean it should change.

I'm more disappointed with the last two seasons. To me, S8 felt like there was originally only 4 episodes and the first two was supposed to be at the end of S7. The shitty thing is two weeks before the final season started. That article came out saying that GRRM/HBO wanted it to be 13 seasons with 10 episodes each. That's would have been 130 episodes we could have gotten. Not the 73 episodes we got in the end.

Catty fish_ another gig got in the way of D and D wanting to do it ‘the right way’. Essentially they became greedy lil fucks and the show suffered because of it. They obviously don’t care about us super fans. Guess they think we will watch a series (their new venture) because of the hype. They thought wrong. I for one would feel that if I get invested in another show they write, that they will just repeat the same rushed ending and forget all character development. So screw the D’s.

With an extra 7 hours, many of the fans' complaints could've been negated, just by virtue of having the time to delve into them and explain them better. Alas, we'll never know. Another inconsistency in S8 was that not only did we not get a wight Hodor or Karsi but in S7 they established that the Night King had 3 wight giants in his army but we only saw 1 during the Long Night episode. I was a little disappointed by that.

Here are some scenes that I think they should've done: In Season 6, it was established that Qyburn was getting all of Varys's little birds to work for him and Cersei. Cersei even specifying that she wanted little birds in Dorne and Highgarden. That small scene, if expanded on in seasons 7 and 8 would've given more credence to Cersei outplaying and outwitting Tyrion, as it would mean that Qyburn would not only be contending against Tyrion as "Who's the better Hand of the Queen?" but also "Who's the better Master of Whispers?" against Varys. Had they played it out properly, the big bombshell would've hit after Rhaegal and Missandei died, where Varys and Tyrion figure out that the Spider's Web has been reappropriated, causing Daenerys to find out that not only was Varys unknowingly giving information to Cersei, but by extension, the ones conspiring against her are children. Orphan children throughout the seven kingdoms have been working against her. She's so unwanted in this land that even the children are trying to kill her. That, with being unable to trust Varys with his plan to poison her, Tyrion choosing Family over duty, and Jon refusing to give her a lover's comfort during a time of tremendous grief from losing two of her closest friends, and one of her children would make her descent into madness a lot more understandable, and her fate less of an abrupt turn which alienated a lot of the audience. As it is, I'm still arguing with some friends trying to explain why despite the flaws, I'm happy with the ending.

The signs were there. Danaerys should have sensed the Dragon Seed in John. At the end, I still believe Drogon was not at all happy with John killing Danny, but I think he understood. He touched John's mind too. My only real complaint for the entire series is that they dropped the ball with the dire wolves. They could have been excellent for plot development and plot fulfillment.

I kinda gave up hope for prominent direwolves in the show after a few seasons. To me, they represent the characters they were assigned to. Arya is an adventurer, as is Nymeria who found her own pack. You could say Arya found her calling too, maybe not a pack per-say but some purpose. And she found this from her travels. Robb's wolf died the same time he did. Sansa throughout the series, has so much taken from her. They establish this plot beat when her direwolf dies because of Joffery and the incident with the butcher's boy and Arya. Sansa constantly loses things precious to her; her direwolf, her father (in front of her, who Joff piked the head of for Sansa to see), her home, her virginity, and lastly she loses her oldest surviving brother because she learned to play the game. Summer died protecting Bran, as did Osha, Hodor, Jojen, Theon, etc. This is the Bran-syndrome; people close to him sacrifice themselves so he may fulfill his destiny and become king of a new and restorative system. Summer was another means to an end, which is all Bran needs to meet his fate. Can't recall the other two. I had a great start.

I was under the impression that Drogon came to the dragon pits because he sensed Dany’s fear AND because he smelled blood! Also, during the Jon and Dany kissing scene, Drogon didn’t appear mad at Jon. It looked as if he was confused as to what was happening to his momma and the emotion she felt!

charlie, you have done a wonderful job over the seasons bringing us fans info especially S8. You remained positive even though the season was terrible and you need to be commended for it. I can't afford HBO but i buy the complete season on PlayStation once it is available but i haven't done the same for S8 because it is that bad. Regardless of show/ Martin promoting the 'no character is safe' motto, it had to have the right ending. LOTR has the right ending and is loved by generations, GOT will not be because it has the worst ending. For example, Martin portrayed Jon Snow as the Aragon of GOT, but instead of Jon becoming the man he was born to be, he started and ended the same. As a bastard at the wall.

With all of the cut scenes from Game of Thrones, maybe a whole new episode could be constructed?! It would be quite the challenge! Thanks for all of the added insight into the story. Keep up the great work. It would be fun to see GoT & Outlander make contact and interact through the Stones. That's how we could get St. George slaying the dragon, King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, etc. That would be such fun to imagine!

It really shows that there is absolutely no chemistry btwn kit and Emilia on screen. It hits even harder seeing him pretend to gag after having what’s supposed to be a passionate kiss with her. I never felt like they were in love. It just didn’t work.
