@@LOSTERAFILMS Just to be clear, it's also clearly an alternate timeline from the novels, since George R.R. Martin told the show's producers the story ended with Daenarys dead, Bran the new monarch of Westeros (though not sitting on the Iron Throne). And no reason to think he intended to write more novels to continue the story, since he can't even finish the last two. Bran never makes anyone bend the knee or be burned, so it's a bit much to say he's the one ruling with an iron hand. Seems like this timeline matches the one on the show right up until the very end, meaning the only thing that's different is Dany somehow comes back to life. I know who this is for, and if it would make them stop complaning, fine by me. But they never will. To their dying day. ;)

@@LOSTERAFILMS I've made the Leto II analogy myself--I'm quite sure that's where GRRM got the idea--but Leto ruled the galaxy for 35 centuries before he was assassinated--not overthrown. His work completed. No doubt a blessed relief. Never depicted as a tyranny, which House Corrino certainly was. So no. That does not work. Bran would see the plot coming before it was fully hatched. And why would the people object to his prescience? Bran would see to their needs far better than the previous dynasties ever did. He's already placed the realm in the best possible hands to see to its welfare--he can never be misled or betrayed by false councillors. And having seen all the past mistakes of all previous rulers on that world--he can avoid them. That's the point GRRM is making, agree or not. That's why he was always ending with Bran as the Three-Eyed Raven, ruling Westeros--but letting the North go free. Not sure what Essos has to do with it, since Bran only rules in the six kingdoms, Sansa would have his back in the North, Arya would whack anyone who dared try to overthrow her brother, and Jon never wants the throne--and can hardly get back with Dany after what he did, even if she was alive, which she's not. You can do the AI fanfic all you like--that is surely your prerogative, as it is anyone's. The end is never changing. Dany's gone. Bran and Sansa rule. Jon and Arya are free. Tyrion and the Small Council do all the actual governing. Dany lived long enough to see herself become the villain of her own story. She paid the price of being corrupted by her power. The Lord of Light used her (and everyone else) as a pawn in his game with the Night King, and once she'd served her purpose, it was time for her to go.
