OMG, I've been waiting for someone with a UK box set to do an unboxing haha (I wanted to know about the inner cases) I may upgrade in the future to this set. Hey Alan, yeah, I got a cold while in the UK, my whole family was ill, still worth it though, lol, the set is simple, but glad to have each season in a separate case, and overall I am really happy to have picked it up, just started watching it, only seen 1 episode so far, but looking forward to watching more. take care mate

Great video. I’m disappointed that no one did a review of the DVD release because that’s what I’m gonna buy since I don’t have a Blu ray player. My biggest concern is the quality, sure Blu ray is better but DVD can’t be that bad right? The amazon reviews were positive so I’m hoping that it will be worth the money. Anything you would like to add regarding this issue?

Thanks, I suppose the DVD release will be exactly the same, but with the episodes in 720p, the artwork and special features should be the same. I notice the difference between DVD and blu ray, the image quality is far superior in my opinion, but you can still watch and enjoy the show in DVD and the price difference is worth thinking about too. Thanks for the information. I saw an image of the DVD box set without any special feature discs, just the episodes which would be really disappointing. unfortunately there isn’t enough information out there.

@@youknowwho9203 my dvd box set doesnt have the 9th case containing bonus features...only 8 cases for the first 8 seasons. I'm going to eventually buy the series on 4k. It will be on of my few 4k items I own. But yeah if you want bonus features perhaps save for the Blu-ray...if you need a blu-ray player...budget ones cost around $75. Hope that helps. Cheers

Great stuff. Box sets usually are not put together well. I just bought season 1-8 but the individual disks, not the comlete set. You get the packets. And they're built well. For some reasons not much care is taken with box sets.

Hey Gilbert, yeah, many times individual releases are better than a whole boxset, but the price of picking them up that way can be a lot more expensive than getting a complete set, just depends on when you buy them and how you prefer to have them, thanks for watching, really appreciate it

I’ve never really been into Medieval/Fantasy shows... I’m a huge fan of shows like Breaking Bad, Prison Break etc. In saying that I do really really wanna give GOT a chance! Do you think I’ll like it???

Hey Luke, I also really enjoy watching TV shows, and Breaking Bad is my all time fav show! I also loved Boardwalk Empire, House of Cards, Mad Men and Sons of Anarchy! Now, Game of Thrones. I picked this up and watched it from start to finish in 2 months, I hadn´t seen any seasons or episodes beforehand, and luckily had seen no spoilers. Overall I really enjoyed the show, the first two seasons were kind of slow and also complicated to follow, what with so many different storylines, characters and families, but from season 3 on I got hooked, I also think the ending was good, and don´t really know why it got so much hate. So overall, although it is not, IMO, as good as everyone makes it out to be, and definitely not the best show ever made, it is well worth watching and I don´t think you will regret having seen it or feel it was a waste of your time. Box sets are not usually built well. They just the disks together in one box. Buy the individual sets. Takes up more space but worth it. Better quality and you get the packets.

Hi Benn, best wishes for the New Year buddy, I have seen the first 5 seasons & need to get back onto the series & in what I’ve seen it’s up there with “The Sopranos” “Breaking bad” & “The Wire” as the best tv series’s ever made, how I fully position their series with the others depends on the last few seasons & a satisfying ending. But for sure it’s a well made & addictive series to watch & get ready for some shock I didn’t see coming scenes. And try not to read up on the series to avoid spoilers etc. A great tv series & great unboxing, hope you get well Benn 😎👍

Just a full warning the show unfortunately majorly drops in quality in the last season. Expect plot holes, logical errors and rushed pacing to just put it lightly. Seasons 1-6 are really solid though...and 1-4 are near perfect. The books are fantastic too.

After the disastrous last episode of the finale show, any thoughts of buying the complete series, went out of the window 😭. You'd think as the show was one of the best and hugely popular tv shows ever, with it's cult following, that they could have done something more imaginative with the packaging, a small mould of one of the dragons say would have been really appreciate ( as you will see for yourself, the dragons in this show are something to behold), even I might have been tempted...BUT ALAS NO!!! With the money the network and producers made, they could hardly have been pleading poverty!!! It is a fantastic show Benn and the dragons are definitely it's biggest highlights, and scene stealers. Congratulations Benn on your epic purchase, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I have heard quite a few bad reviews on the last season, but I will see after I get through the first 7 seasons, lol, I agree that they could have put a bit more effort into the boxset, but they have released a far more expensive one which have been given better treatment. @@blu-raybenn4854 Hi Benn, I've had a look at the "Special Edition" of the GOT complete series, and although it looks more impressive than the other version, it still doesn't have the WOW factor about it, and in my opinion, it certainly isn't value for money. As much as I "loved" (past tense ) the series, there's not a chance in hell that I would even consider paying anything close to what they are asking for...No Way, Not unless i was promised a day hanging out with the dragons and getting to feed & ride them (under supervision of course), although I'd probably feel safer if there was someone there with a fire extinguisher to hand. But as we're talking cgi creations, there isn't much chance of that, as beautiful and majestic as they were, it would have taken more than these spectacular creatures to save the "dreaded" last season. It's so ridiculous how these companies charge a fortune and not think anything of it, it reminded me of when they decided to re-release both LOTR & The Hobbit films together...Extortion, and yet those real die hard fans will pay for them as included in the price you get a mini bookcase to house all the films in....which obviously makes it worth it. Anyway, I'm off to change my trousers as they split when I started typing this message and I turned a dark shade of green, but im ok now. Hope you enjoy the series Benn, take care buddy...PS I'm looking forward to owning my copies of the New Worzel Gummidge, the Dracula series and A Christmas Carol starring Guy Pierce, 3 fantastic shows over Christmas, the BBC can do it when they try...catch you later buddy.

I was mistaken. I've yet to watch the final season, which is indeed season 8! No season 9 😆. Having said that, people weren't too happy with how the final season played out and there was even calls to get the whole season remade! 😅

@@roastedskullz3020 spoiler alert...it was indeed really bad lol. It was mildly entertaining and some parts but almost every scene had a plot hole or bad writing etc. Theres about 10 series if videos on youtube alone that just compile every mistake in the 8th season...pretty funny to watch. Some of the flaws or just insanely bad...for example...I won't spoil the details...but basically some general said they had 2000 horses in their army. Then the next episode they change it so they only have ONE horse in the army lol.
