Yea not very realistic if there really ever were giants in history I would assume they would have large weapons. This show isn’t realistic with their armor and weapons in general for that time period. Mostly leather protection, few shields, few helmets, no metal armor is not the way people fought in this era unless you were a very poor conscript.

I recommend you give it a try. At least the first season. It does get a bit crazy after the 6th/7th season, and plot armour begins to take over as well as some pretty questionable writing. But overall, it's very good if you like fantasy stuff.

@@bugstomper4670 Doesn't fit Jons fighting style, he fights fast and requires two hands to get the speed and strength he needs behind each swing and it would also hinder his movement. I'm sure he could easily adapt to fighting with a shield, but this is probably what works best for him.
