Your absolute joy in everything you do, and the way your face lights up when a new game comes out or you're speaking about something you love is THE content I'm always looking for. You bring levity to a world of my childhood in turbulent times. Thanks for being a creator! P.S- My fav series is the Mana series and I love your poster

Love it! I think my most treasured piece of my collection is an old Final Fantasy III strategy guide I got for resubscribing to Nintendo Power. It’s pretty beaten up and probably not worth much, but the memories are priceless to me. 😊

What a great tour. I normally skip these kinds of videos (mostly out of jealousy, as I deeply miss my collection and bitterly resent having to purge it), but this time, I'm glad I didn't. Your energy is infectuous. Here's hoping it won't take too long to get to 100k and beyond.

I have to say, I love that pose you have for pretty much all your thumbnails. For good news or something cool, it's like "Hey, guys take a look" but for bad news or something awful, it's like "Look at this shit". Great content as always dude!

It is definitely inspiring to see collections like this, especially ones with such a strong JRPG focus, especially because JRPGs are so (in many, many cases) very collectable games and such enriching likeable stories, almost like having a library of great books to choose from. There are always games that pop out to me that make me start searching online for them when I see collection videos. You have built something special with your channel and built something special with your collection and both should be highly commended for a large variety of reasons. Thanks for showing us all of these great games and collectables David. Also, I'd bet money that SquareEnix absolutely thinks the world of you after attending that show with Yoshi P. To many more great adventures David, I'll be here to root you on! 100k subs on the way!

Maaaaan, my game room only has a couch and a shelf. :( Congrats, fam. I've been watching since the early Trails playthroughs. You're the reason I gave the series a try, so thank you for that. And you made an LP of Beyond the Beyond, a game I'd always heard was terrible look fun and appealing. My power went out for a week during that playthrough and my top priority once I got it back was catching up w/ the LP. More than social media or fantasy teams I had money on even.

Just now realizing how criminally few subs you have, but to be honest, a closer, tighter-knit community is likely what got you into Square in the first place! Seeing you in there and hearing your stories made it felt like we were all there! There are million sub channels that seemingly pop up overnight, but they're the most bland, generic, mainstream gick that ever was. They NEVER would've been invited anywhere, let alone into the company that ostensibly started it all! Stay fab David!

Congratulations David. 100K will be there before you know it. I've never had the collector impulse for physical things, other than some books that had very limited print runs (if there were like a million copies out there I don't see the point in owning it just to own it since i can't read physical books with my vision anyway, but if there are only 500 copies and I love it that's a different story).

Congrats on 60k and recouping from that unfortunate hacking incident. I haven't added to my retro games specifically since 2017, last "retro" game I brought was Path of Radiance. Your vids as of late made me realize I missed some good Ps1 games like Lunar and Breath of Fire 3 so I started to collect/play again. Also, amazing collection, you really love Dragon Quest lol. My treasure is probably Xenoblade on the Wii(even if its cheap as dirty now...finally), but my most expensive one is probably CIB Pokemon Emerald that seems near mint.

You should try repairing the FFT strategy guide! If you can find a high-resolution scan and print it on the right paper, you can get some binding glue off of Amazon and fix it up! If there's still some dry glue on the pages themselves though, you might need to do some very narrow and precise shaving with a paper guillotine. You might also be able to gently heat the edges of said pages and then just remove any old glue though if you're lucky. Either way, it would be sad to see pages of these guides degrade further or simply be disposed of when they are only becoming less common.
