Congrats! It's beautiful. If you're going to have a date just, you need the fluted bezel, even more than a jubilee bracelet in my opinion. Its not that the smooth bezel isn't beautiful, but the fluted is so timeless Rolex, you can't go wrong. Have my 40 mil sub date and my date just II fluted bezel. A dream Rolex pair I never believed I'd have ever owned, no regrets and measure myself so fortunate. Best to you and Happy New Year!

This is one of the best Rolex watches because it can really be a dress watch and a sports watch. I have this watch but with the oyster bracelet. I wouldn't be surprised if this gets discontinued this year or next. Sharp!

@@samuelcastillo7810 I must confess, a few weeks after I placed order for this DJ41 Wimbledon, I have change my mind and went to replace my order with a blue dial lumed marker DJ41, which takes quite a few more months(3-6 months to be exact, given you have a healthy relationship with an AD) on waiting list to acquire from an AD in Bangkok. Had I not change my mind, a Wimbledon would’ve already be on my wrist by now, as the waiting time is no longer than two to three months.

Looks great. Fluted is a must, especially on that size as you say. It’s a Rolex, you’re forgiven for a little bling 🤑. Really surprised at the ‘black’ Roman numerals. From pics thought they were dark green. Don’t know why they didn’t go for infill like the explorer. The lume is disappointing however. Hope you enjoy. Upgrade from the two tone for sure.

About how and where to put the clasp: middle, side, left, right... what would you consider the right place? Nobody seems to be bothered bout this subject, but there must be an ideal place so that the balance is right and your watch is centred on the wrist, no?

I like the 36mm size better. In my case, my wrist measures 17.5cm and is also quite flat, and I think it looks much more elegant and discreet, although it is also true that my model is the one with the lugs a little wider than the current reference and it is quite noticeable. In any case, I really like that Wimbledon dial, congratulations on the acquisition.

Nice video! I bought mine from an AD at retail. Wore it for about 15 mins now. My job is in the downtown area. With parking a premium its a few blocks walk and with a large amount of homeless. Call me crazy! Yeah, I worked so hard to save, wait, and yes schmoozed my horological sales agent. But I feel guilty wearing a 10k watch with those with so much less. So watch is now in a bank lock box and seen solely as an investment piece.

Few know that Wimbledon is a tennis club where you are required to wear all-white clothes to play. If you watch the tournament, it is the only tournament where players wear nothing but white. I actually love the white marker at 9 o’clock because for me that’s what reminds me of Wimbledon.

There are dozens of Rolex ADs in HK but invariably they take one look at me, think “tourist” and show me to the two-tone with diamond section and tell me they’re “automatic”. Even ADs that I bought watches from. I got this one from a secondhand dealer in Yau Ma Tei, the only place I can hope to buy the Rolex I want these days.

Pure class. I've been waiting for the 126234 Wimbledon (same watch, just in the 36mm variant) for over 8 months from my local AD. I've lost all hope. Might need to go secondary market like you did. @@T.Q. Yes! I actually got the call in late September 2022. I was so thrilled. I'm based in Toronto, Canada and the AD was Raffi Jewellers. If you are patient you will get it I'm sure! I only had a very small purchase history with the AD (a Tudor BB58) but I built up a nice relationship with one of the salespeople there over the course of about a year. Every time I was at the mall I would stop in for a chat. I think this may have helped, but who knows.

@@davidyule1973 I have always admired the U1 design, but it is really massive. The U50 wears extremely well. The bezel is 41mm, but the case is 40mm, for a thickness just over 11mm and a lug to lug of 47mm. It wears very well on my 17.5cm wrist on both the bracelet and the rubber strap (I bought both), with the latter being noticeably lighter. FYI, I bought the fully tegimented version (case / bracelet / deployment clasp for the rubber).

It shares one characteristic with the airking, not enough lume. If it had none, like other Roman dials, it would not be as irritating. Airking would be better with lumed 3, 6, & 9, like the Ex 1. I have the airking so it’s ok to have an imperfect Rolex in my book.
