@@Ormusn2o this reminds me of my MP experience I play together with people who use all kinds of operating system, but Linux is in base game the most stable one and the one which desyncs the least (also, if Linux users host it desyncs normally less for everyone else too, especially in Stellaris). But in the mod we use our modder managed to fuck it up so badly that they are most unstable clients... And add to that that they not only don't use a version control system (like an idiot; version control system are the only thing which keeps you sane as a developer in the long run, you only don't use them for experimenting and one-off scripts) and have a stick so much in their arse that they refuse help (around anything really) and then complain about the amount of work, yeah, things don't always go well.

To those that dont know why it was crashing, I think its because of a map error caused by that port, since they did change it, they probably forgot to add in the buildings file where every model for everybuilding in the game is assigned to, so essentaly, it assigns it there but no model is placed there, so it crashes. and they tried to use the nudge tool at the end to fix that, since it can generate said buildigns for the state. Just gotta drag from the doccuments folder to the mod folder. In fact, in baffled by how no one noticed the issue when they changed it, since if you load the game in debug mode, it literally tells you if there's an error as well as giving a log.

Making a stable game? Tough. But not impossible. Making a stable multiplayer game? Four players? Possible. Just 8 times harder than single player. You wanted how many players? 8? 16 times harder. 32? So like everything that would go wrong with 8 will definitely happen here. And we have new problems. Fun. I think the easiest fix would be that the map be hosted by two parties and used by others to reload. But no. That isn't how HoI does it.

On the other armies of 40 units with potentially unique stats with logistics and health and organization and entrenchment and air support and antiair and all these things change over time. Good luck with that. Although arguably it just represents a spreadsheet of values that all resolve into a finite list of events But keeping that spreadsheet identical for everyone is important. And probably why desync happens.

Just a suggestion that I think would be a fairly nice thing to implement in the mod you guys use is adding Svalbard/Spitzbergen depending on where you are from as the small artic islands were extremely important weather stations for naval combat and maybe there could be something that adds a buff to naval combat of the country that controls the islands? like a small buff thats called "Weather advantage" or something like that. but thats all up to you guys.

About the pump-and-dump, it's not really an evolutionary advantage. Conception is more likely when the woman actually enjoys it too. Your pump-and-dump strategy you have to try a bunch of times and hope you get lucky, but the guy that lasts as long as he has to is gonna be a one-and-done. Also the risk of getting killed during coitus is very low. Unless you're cheating/sleeping with someone else's partner. Being killed by animals during the act hasn't been a major problem since we invented houses. A bear isn't going to ring the doorbell and appreciate you being done so you can answer the door.
