About him being able to swim without getting attacked. This game is strange and decides to use your raft as the center point to render the world around, not the player so if you were to go far enough from your raft then POOF! Shark stops rendering and essentially doesn't exist for the time being

OOoo thats really good to know... so the raft has its render point for npcs and items then.

@@ModWalker yeah so if you get stranded on one of the islands and your raft leaves, eventually the island just pops out of existence and you'll fall into the water

@@ModWalker you can see this (turning on HUD)when Josh showed the planks going underwater. I'm almost certain that he grind. He is very dedicated to the games he play and like the things on that way. Just check his other videos to get a idea of the things he do.

This shark joke at the beginning probably took him an hour to grind out to just show it Also this learn thing. The game doesn't really want you to grind out everything to learn it all at once. it first wants to make it more efficient to collect stuff and defend yourself and not starve. Like slowly getting each of those. But that wouldn't be Josh

The raft wasn't sinking the other one. It was Josh timing it with the trigger that auto sinks it (basically completly looting it)

They used to start sinking as soon as anything touched them though, it is a little sad to hear that they changed that

to give you proper reference, he's playing Survival mode, without any cheat enabled!

One curious thing about Raft is that the raft itself doesn't move, everything else does, the coordinates for the raft are always the same 0,0, it is the world that moves when the raft "moves". The world also renders around the raft, so if you are out of your raft and it floats away too far while on a island, the island under your feet will disapear. And yes the Shark can destroy your raft and you are stuck, basically you lose the game but without a game over screen, but it is imposibble to create another raft

That is really cool that the map moves around the Raft. but also a very scary thought, that everything disappears outside of the render zone.

i think the reason that he was underwater without the meter on is cuz he sometimes turns off the HUD for parts of the videos

From what i understand (could be wrong) "let's game it out" doesn't want be game texter cause it demands so much long hours doing same thing over he wouldn't be able to stand it but when look at what he does for video doesn't make sense then again that just in line with his personality

Well that is just 1 element of game testing, There's something to be said for wanting to break something without having to test if it got fixed properly every time.

You should check LGIO Satisfactory videos. The one where he has to deal with the nuclear waste is the best. Sanity is for the weak.

As a rule of thumb Let's Game It Out has every indicator turned off if possible, Unless he needs it for a joke. This has actually been a very consistent thing he does across multiple games. Also in between him getting the recycler and unlocking the detail plank there is a big time gap in which he could've used auto-collection to get the resources for his main goal, So he might've legitimately just have had a storage full of wood at the point he unlocked the plank.

Thanks for the sub! I do appreciate it! I tried having fun with his newer content and showing off how he could be using trainers for his videos, but a ton of people didn't like that.. I find it fun trying to breakdown how bigger youtubers do stuff, and in turn it helps me get better at this!

the UI interface was turned off for viewer experience, there is a creative mode where you don't take damage but in that mode the raft is incapable of moving at all

The boards have physics. Just a different interpretation of them.

Technically correct, But in terms of kinematics the boards have no physics.

You're not wrong.. but, the game came out in May 23, 2018 and the trainer (Aka Cheats) was released on May 27, 2018 which allowed, instant building, no resource use, no hunger, no thirst, etc... So even without creative mode, the cheats were readily available for instant building and speed... Plus he made his video in Aug 2022, and the cheats at that time expanded a whole lot...

@@ModWalker i watched letsgameitout for a long time and i can say, he does not use cheats. he is something i can never do. i don't think he realize that he is helping a game dev out because a dev used his game file in another game.
