4 questions for this 1.) Was the color by number put into the foxy grid? 2.) Would it make sense if the tally sets were their own sets? Like insyead of combining the different tally sets, what about having each tally set being a letter. The spaces are where the word ends 3.) Remember when the tallies were put into a grid? Some weird things to think about. It could be referring to specific things that happen to specific nights in the old games: such as specific phone calls on nights 2, 4, and 5 in an old game. The specific colors used for each number seem to match the "order" of each animatronic. 2 is bluish like bonnie, 5 is red like foxy, and 5 is yellow like golden freddy: the only 3 of the original gang that don't have a version in security breach. Definitely think baby is the mimic now. There always seemed to be a difference between her coding as a child-naping remnant scooper, and the soul of the child inside her.

Alright, matpat, you have got to listen to me. I believe that the tally marks in the logbook can be fit within the gaps of the tally marks of ruin.(I don’t mean figuratively fit in I mean literally fit in. Each page of the logbook had a tally mark on a different spot on every page. And if we put those tally marks from the logbook from there exact location (kind of like a grid as you said) and we put it on the ruin tally marks it will most likely make sense since it will not have gaps.)Then if you decipher that, you might see something interesting. ( please make matpat see this)

Something I noticed was that the specific number pattern is emphasized over and over again. So, I added up all the twos, which got me 10. I added up all of the fours, which got me 84, I rounded up all of the fives, which got me 80. These three numbers combine to make 10 84 80. I am not sure how exactly to use these three numbers, but it's probable that somebody else might.

while watching the video I noticed something. in the fanaf survival book there are exactly 8 sets of tally markings, and at first this didn't seem important but then I saw that in the grid of tallies from ruin I noticed that. there are exactly 8 spaces, I don't know which tallies go in which spaces, but it is definitely something that seems like more than a coincidence.

Uh, dude, there are more instances of the tally marks in ar mode. Like, everywhere. Didn't get close enough look at them bc no one stops to look, but they're there.

The biggest thing I'm noticing in the Tally marks, is that there are 8 Small gaps, and one large one. In the logbook, there are 8 tally marks. I was thinking we should slot those 8, into the smaller gaps, leaving only the large one empty. As for that one large gap, it could be to Indicate some kind of space between 2 words, or an unifinished/unsolved part of the puzzle.

This may be a stretch, but I think MatPat may have decoded just a snippet of the Tally Wall Mystery. While watching MatPat's latest video, I noticed at exactly 9:26 that when looking at the Survival Logbook, I saw Mike's writing "CERTAIN DEATH" I noticed that the "H" was...different from the other letters. It was uppercase like the others but it wasn't the same size. I found that odd, then I noticed that there were 2 tallies next to it. Could this mean that 2 tallies decypher to H? If so does that mean that the decodes for 4 & 5 are in the logbook as well? Reminder: THIS IS JUST A THEORY

I have a theory: The numbers 2,4 and 5 are numbers and colors putted for animatronics that the mimic can learn from when he is contected to the vr world.

as someone who took an entire math class about ciphers I feel like i am somewhat qualified to talk about this, he mentioned that there aren't 27 letters in the alphabet, however in many of the ciphers i learned about they use 27 as space. so after Z there would be a space before circling back to A. idk if that changes anything but it's worth checking out!

you must have taken a very introductory class. Many simple ciphers like substitution ciphers use 27 as a space but in other cases such as a caesar cipher or hill cipher this is not the case. This is also assuming the encoder used a space as 27 instead of 26. Regardless, the tally marks end up in jumble anyways making this assumption.

Not sure if anyone has thought of this yet, but if the post-it note pictures are somehow related to Michael, then I’d have another theory for what the squiggles could be. Most likely, yes, it’s Ennard. But something I’ve commonly seen in art or writing (or both) is the use of squiggly lines to represent distress or insanity. I think it’s safe to say that Mike is a BIT off his rockers due to what he’s been through, so that almost tornado-like shape could mean his battered mindset. :)

I noticed something when it came to the post it notes that intrigued me at 17:42 and that was the butter represents sister location, the tracks next to it represent Charlolette's death, the foot prints look similar to the ones seen in midnight motorists, the hearts and pizza could be signaling something based on Chica, the lightning is referencing the glam rocks, the hill references the souls, the stars represent the Rockstar animatronics possibly hinting at the fact that the souls are still not at rest and could still be awake and conscious in the blob, Im unsure about the squigly lines and the candy but that's just what I thought I could base the images on. {Past Events into Present Events}

17:39 Do you know what these post notes actually look like to me? They look like references to other games and characters from the fnaf frenchies. The butter note is a remark to the exotic butter you get if you complete the Enard ending, the 3 toe foot prints reminds me of the mini game in (if I recall right-) fnaf 4, the lighting bolts are obviously Freddy and the Candy could refer to Candy Cadet from fnaf 6. As for the other few I have no idea what they represent… the sun on the grass could be a happy ending sequence as we’ve had a few of those in the games, and scribbles and dot sticky notes make me think of those things therapist show you- but overall these particular sticky notes might not have a proper meaning to this tally cipher… however, I have a dumb suggestion that might work (mind you I have no clue how they work but better to suggest or nothing right?) So, I thought I was unique with this but on your phones you’ll notice that there are numbers and 3-4 sets of letters under said numbers, now if we look at the cypher the 4 tallies are placed a lot be itself and so is 2 tallies. The 2 sets of letters that can sit by themselves that are also in 2 and 4 on the number key is A and I, now the obvious issue is the limitations to these letters, because “I Jig I a-“ as the first quote sounds weird. So I believe we would need to add up the rest of the alphabet under 2 4 and 5, so 2 would have letters A-C and D-F, 4 would be G-I and M-O… it sounds weird at first but hey- it’s just a theory- THIS ROOKIES THEORY-

Regarding the tally mark puzzle, you could reach out to the noita community, who are trying to solve a much more complicated seeming puzzle. They've tried hundreds of techniques to decipher their secret message and while none of them were the solution to their puzzle, one of them might be what works here

I'm late, but I was re-watching a sister location play through and got to the point where Baby starts telling of the kids at the birthday and the scoop of Elizabeth. She says the numbers of kids and 2, 3, 4, 5 and 0 are mentioned a few times, one is only mentioned when she scoops. I don't know if this helps, but with the baby room possibly pointing to something being missed in sister location, maybe someone smarter than me can play around with inputting the missing numbers in the grid and possibly being one step closer?

I'm just a casual fan but the post it notes, from an artistic perspective, reminds me of different characters. Pizza hearts for Chica, lightning bolts for Freddy, the black spots are actually seen on Monteys skin, the stars could be Roxy (there's a star and mic, implying Rockstar, Roxy). There's other possibilities that aren't as solid, like the candy note maybe being for candy cadette, etc. But I think they should be looked at from a character design/visuals perspective, not just trying to find numbers and letters. More right brain.

I think that the Mike/Freddy connection is concrete at this point. The first set of tallies are surrounded by baby, aka Elizabeth, mikes sister. The second is across from the poster with a message from Freddy, meaning that at least the tallies were all left by him. Maybe the chair represents him getting punished for the bite of 83? Plus, the fact that the "basement" is the fnaf 6 location, and we see signs of all the different burning victims except baby is odd.

Someone might’ve already suggested this, but maybe you should try following Occam’s Razor, where the simplest explanation should be ruled out first. Where the FNaF community has gone to such extremes, tearing incredibly difficult puzzles up in a day, it makes sense for Steel Wool to trip up the community by not increasing the difficulty, but lowering it to the point of confusion. My first thought when I saw the 3x3 notes was animatronics. I saw the pizza and hearts and thought of Chica, who love food, the footsteps reminded me of Foxy, who likes to run. The microphone reminds me of Freddy, the lightning bolts remind me of that one scene with sun and moon, even the candy reminds me of cadet, and the spots make me think of Monty. Probably not anything, but it’s just a thought. And, hey, at least that’s one simple explanation down, right?

I attempted another version of the color coding idea. I referred to the word of each color of those balloons (2 being pink, 4 being red, and 5 being yellow/orange) and instead used those numbers in each column to gain new numbers. I got the following numbers (left to right column, top number to bottom number) : 9, 4, 6, 9, 12, 10, 12, 6, 18, 19, 24, 13, 15, 6, 4, 6, 3, 3. MatPat, I have an extremely important theory I have been piecing together, and I would like you to hear it. Do you recall JR's from the midnight motorist minigame? Do you recall OMC appearing out of nowhere without any explanation? Kinda like how Monty appeared as the first gator animatronic? What if Monty, and, to a larger extent, OMC, are quite important to FNAF's past. BEFORE Fredbear's Family Diner. I believe that JR's had a red gator animatronic with a fishing pole and fisherman hat named Old Man Consequences. And that it is possible HENRY is the child who ran away to there in Midnight Motorist, along with OMC producing the animatronic footprints. Later, in SB, Clara Afton was creating the Glamrocks based on old blueprints of Afton's from his secret bunker. She dug up blueprints for Freddy, Chica, Foxy (who she revamped as Roxy), Mr. Hippo, Music Man, and... some random gator? This gator was OMC's blueprint, or at least one made by Henry in admiration. In other words, Monty is Glamrock Old Man Consequences!

During the segment where the tally marks are colored based on the balloons, the red 2s form a sort of upside-down V shape, which almost looks like it could be the tip of a fox's ear... Perhaps the different sets of tally marks each roughly form one part of the fox's face when colored, and if they are aligned inside of the fox grid, they could make something useful. I haven't tried this, so it could be totally wrong, but it might be worth looking into.
