it's good to see these guys out doing there job, sure it's an inconvenience , but it helps the fishery, helps bust scum bags with no license or keep more than their limits, or targeting out of season fish. imagine letting everyone fish the way they want. there would be no fish left.

@@SouthCanada I have never had a fishing ticket in my life.but I have certainly been run threw the ringer with mn dnr.one time they held me up for over two hrs searching all out stuff and car plus 4 wheeler.with out any justification to why.didn’t find any violations.so now I do not let them search anything without a warrant.

They can check your shotgun for a plug if bird hunting. Same principle here. You might not have to let them search everything, but if you're actively fishing.

Same principle here, the state Supreme Court already made a decision on this several years back. Thats why he said I would like to check those lines in stead of I have to see these line. If his main goal was legal tackle, why didn't he check our tip ups? He had authority there. He was doing an investigation without probable cause, no suspicion of a crime.
