Well 99,99% of all people will probably believe that nintendo invented the D-pad and lcd gaming but that’s not true,because in 1979 mattel invented the first lcd gaming handheld with their computer gin handheld while in 1980 tiger electronics invented the D-pad with their playmaker gaming handheld,yeah it’s very hard to imagine considering those handhelds faded into obscurity but still,,,

I have Mario Bros, but the ribbon cable is ripped. I'm probably never going to find a replacement one, but maybe I'll work out some kind of repair at some point. Other than that, though, I have Super Mario Bros and Mario's Cement Factory, both of which work perfectly. Super Mario Bros is pretty fun as a kind of Proto Super Mario Land, but Mario's Cement Factory is just 'Stress: The Game'.

3:12 Thanks for mentioning this. As a G&W collector, the "diorama" effect is one of my favorite things about G&W games that just can't be replicated in any remake or emulation. . ALSO-virtually all Game & Watch games can be emulated in MAME, so I recommend using that program instead of recording from the DS collection. Here's some footage of Donkey Kong: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4Kamn5qgbOXoMU (the video also compares MAME's emulation to the version in G&W Collection... I think the emulation is much better!) . Third thing, about the alarm: older G&W games have much better sounding alarms. The Gold games and early Wide Screen games like Fire and Octopus have a deeper\lower-pitched alarm sound that I find pleasing. . Fourth, a theory: since we know that the original Donkey Kong became Cranky Kong, perhaps Mini Donkey Kong became the modern one, not DK Jr.?
@AnthonyFlack2 жыл бұрын
It's a shame the later single-screen games cheaped out and started going single-layer. DK Jr, Mario's Cement Factory and Tropical Fish for eg. would all look so much better if they had two layer backgrounds like Fire Attack or Turtle Bridge.
