At 7:36 there's an untold story here. The Browns were in the lead 21-7 with 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter. They gave up a touchdown, an onside kick recovery, and another touchdown to get to this point in OT. Just a little history lesson 😂

They also don’t make it clear that the play before this one happened the week before, so Mike Brown had two defensive interceptions for touchdowns, in back to back weeks, in back to back OT games.

As soon as I started this video, I was like, well fuck, I have to re-live that bullshit 2001 Bears game again haha. Honestly, for all the pure luck on the Bears part and pure ineptness on the Browns part to have all that happen in that short amount of time, this should be the number 1 game on this list by a mile.

Hopefully this is time stamped. That game was a field goal battle before the Bengals had a long scoring drive which led to a touchdown for the go ahead score. Of course, it should have been the game winner- if Leon Hall had tipped it the right way. Side note: why did CBS let Gus Johnson go?

"The Immaculate Reception" at 15:30 is made even more incredible b/c of the rules at the time. Back then, a receiver couldn't touch/tip the ball to another offensive player consecutively before it was caught. The only way Franco Harris could legally catch that throw is if it bounced off of Jack Tatum and wasn't last touched by John Fuqua. The fact that it seems that did happen, that Harris made a shoestring catch, and this was a divisional playoff game all add to the lore of this incredible play. Definitely deserving of its spot near the top here. 👌

Thomas makes that play and the Chiefs win the AFC West, get a first round bye, and don't have to go to Miami as a wild card on a sloppy field at Joe Robbie in early January either. Raiders would have had to go to Miami instead, and then the Chiefs would have hosted the 9-7 Bengals instead in the Divisional round. Just make sack #8, and the Chiefs probably would have gone to the AFC Championship game. I mean, 1 play.

At 7:25 the Bears we're down by 15 points with 4 minutes to play against the 49ers and they cameback and won the game on a Mike Brown pick-six in OT, then the next week they we're down 21-7 with least than 2 minutes and cameback to tie against the Browns, then Mike Brown got another pick-six in OT to win

1:18 I love how someone finally found a clip from an Eagles Giants game that resulted in a team winning against seemingly infinite odds… with the Giants coming out on top. There’s like 10 that go the other way. It’s insane.

4:08 the ref got in the way of the receiver! Why did this count? Interference, no?
@StephenH1

Refs are attached to the field of play, so it wouldn't be interference. Seen countless running backs bash into them and receivers use them as screens to get open. Just part of the game.

The Raiders’ “Holy Roller” was one of the worst calls in history. Stabler threw the ball underhand, the Banaszak pitched the ball forward into the endzone and Casper recovered it. You have to wonder how different the history of the NFL would be if replay was around from the beginning.

The play where the official knocks Tim Brown off his route is a bit suspect!?! I know when you're on the field you have to be aware of thier presence, but if you look back at the play not only does the ref dart right into his path immediately, but he looks right at Brown and takes more than a few steps directly into his path all while staring right at him! I'm not gonna say he intended to interfere with Brown and cause an int, but IMO he definitely did not at all attempt to get out of the way and literally went out of his way to block Browns path which seems to be intentional considering he's staring right at him while doing so!
@paxhumana2015

I think that referee crews need to be held to account for intentionally interfering in plays in favor of a team in a game because it undermines their positions as unbiased officials in a game, and if anyone argues otherwise, then they can spend the rest of their lives inside of a prison cell in solitary confinement, and that is IF I am feeling generous, and ditto for the referee crews that allowed it to happen as well.
