About The Game:
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is an action-adventure video game that is based on the fifth installment of the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling and the film of the same name, for Game Boy Advance, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, and Xbox 360. It was released in June 25, 2007 in North America, June 28, 2007 in Australia and June 29, 2007 in Europe.
The theme of the game is to explore Hogwarts and follow the story from the book and movie. EA encouraged fan participation in the development of this game, and worked with a fan council. The game returns to the sandbox style of the first three games rather than the action-oriented Goblet of Fire. Similar to any sandbox, Hogwarts is fully explorable most of the time, and there are "discovery points" that provide rewards to the player, which can be activated by completing side missions. Furthermore, there are battles between groups of students, as shown in the game trailer.

Unfortunately, wizard chess, gobstones will not be in base Hogwarts legacy game. Hope they add these along with Quidditch in the DLC.

I don't know chess, so I did 99% of this game and left the chess for the end. Afterwards I brought my chess-knowing friend, and he just did this part with the chess for me. Lol

As far as I remember, in the first Harry Potter Movie Ron sacrificed himself to the White Queen allowing Harry to Checkmate the King but it’s unknown how Harry took out the White Queen.

Harry and Ron had been playing Chess from sometime and Ron was teaching Harry nicely. So when Ron decided to sacrifice himself, they both saw each other and already knew what move he was going to make. It is then showed that they can understand their friendship in a whole another level.

Yeah, the movie made a really weird cut. They removed the part of Harry capturing the Queen. After the Queen took Ron's Knight, Harry was, as Ron said, 'free to check the King.' And that he did. However, the movie played it off as though it was an immediate Checkmate, which worked dramatically, but was incorrect. When you look at how the board was actually set up (which is neigh impossible to tell in the movie itself), the Black Bishop (Harry) put the White King in check, after which the White Queen blocked the attack (the only legal move White had left). Then Bishop/Harry took the Queen and THEN it's a Checkmate. You can actually find the full board setup online if you search for it, it's quite an interesting setup imo, and you can see where Hermione (Rook) is positioned as well. It's a shame they cut out Harry capturing the Queen, as it would've made more sense, but I guess they wanted Harry to immediately checkmate.

I find it easier when I move all the small guys to the top as queens and try to get rid of the opponents queen as soon as possible

I beat the Gryffindor Champion in 4 moves (my moves were pawn E2-E4, bishop F1-C4, queen D1-H5, queen H5-F7). I know it’s easy to prevent by sending a knight (black) from G8 to F6 but this is how I beat him.

En Passant. Can be used when opponent pawn moves 2 steps and you can capture it. (For example if it would've moved just 1 step and your positioned in a way that let's you capture it but it moves 2 steps to avoid that Capture. You can still capture it using this move.

To be honest all are quite easy, we just need basic knowledge of Chess and if you play the matches long enough, then the AI keeps making mistakes and you eventually win the match. Hope it helps :)

@@GameAddictYT stockfish is the strongest chess engine. Stockfish can basically defeat every chess grandmasters in the world combine, that's how strong these engines are.

As a guy who struggles with chess, I had to cheat using an AI imitating white to beat the damn Ravenclaw champion. My own attempts always ended up in a stalemate with my feeble knowledge...chess was always hard for me and I always miss angles I can attack at. So much for enjoying battlefield strategy from media like Three Kingdoms. I always hated chess due to how hard it is for me to foresee everything on the board. As a result before cheating with the AI referencing, I struggled with the Ravenclaw champion for a LONG time (she was all that I needed to do for that damn 100% completion for the entire game). Stuff like this on top of any form of AI chess played in my spare time really made me hate the game.

It was actually good for me because I used to play chess a lot when I was a child. So I enjoyed this part of game too. Also the AI in this game plays chess in a very simple manner with many mistakes. If you give it a few tries you should definitely win it without any issues. But your idea on using another game for using identical moves was good too. Glad that you wre able to complete to 100%
