It does seem to run a bit slower as the SNES had a slower CPU than the Sega Genesis and even the old 8-bit Sega Master System. Blast processing is really a real thing.

@@lucas_the_floofas I don't think 50 Hz is that slow as Sonic's suspension in the air after his jump feels like moon gravity at times in the footage. It could be a combination of running at PAL 50 Hz while also being underclocked with the SNES's slower CPU.

This cartridge does not convert Sega code into snes code, it is an emulator and has composite cables output on the back. It does, however, take power and button presses from the snes

There is a nes emulator for the mega drive, so you should just get an everdrive and you can play mapper 0 games very slowly

Sega Genesis CPU = 7.68MHz Super Nintendo CPU = 3.58MHz I mean sure the Super Nintendo could send out MIPS data instructions a lot quicker than the Sega Genesis. But that doesn't excuse the fact that the Sega Genesis is still the much faster system than the Super Nintendo.

​@@myrongaines5542 snes was a superior console, as it should being nearly 2 yrs ahead on tech. But genesis had some worthy games that snes didnt as snes had some genesis did not. But take contra 3, an amazing contra,i loved it.. but contra hard corps was even better imo. Neither game was a lazy port, just different styles. Contra 3 had the usual formula with some cool changes like weapons and bombs then hard corps ramped it all up. Better ost, graphics and gameplay content had high replay value with different paths, characters and endings.

So I take it that the lock-on with Sonic 2 doesn't work? (I can't remember) Iicr, these run their own video, and would need it's own A/V cable connected to the cartridge. Also, for people that are wondering, the reason why it's a little bit slower in this video is because he's running it on a PAL console. It rus at normal speed on NTSC consoles. You might get some glitchy interference on the sides of the screen no matter what console you're playing it on, and sometimes the picture won't be stable if the screen from the game is entirely white. (Like a white background)

@@ibob148 he connected S&K w/Sonic 2 at first, then when he wasn't playing it, I assumed that it wasn't compatible to it? The RetroGEN adapter has it's own AV cable. The SNES is working more like a power and control device, and cannot use it's own video.

That would be a system on a chip knockoff that just uses the SNES for power and controller input. It's not using the SNES to run the game itself, hence the separate composite cable.
