We used a randomizer to randomize our Starter Choices in Scarlet & Violet, span a wheel and banned one of the options, for our opponent to pick from the remaining two. Once we both have a full team, we fight!

I had an idea that one person sees the starters and bans one of them and the other now gets to pick from 2. Then the person that sees the starters gets the other one. It introduces some strategy because now you might not want to ban the legendary or strong mon because you might want it instead

You should do this exact idea, but stop after 5 Pokémon, and now your opponent gets to choose out of the 5 banned Pokémon to fill in there 6th slot. Adds ALOT of pressure to who you ban.

A possible variation to this would be, the opponent sees the starters and bans one starter of their choice, then the turn player blindly chooses their starter from the 2 remaining and finally the opponent gets what’s left. So it could lead to Legendary Pokemon Starters not getting banned on sight since there’s a 50/50 chance you’d get it

Its genuinely nuts how good Caly Ice is So held back by speed but in a random abilities meta yeah it loses one of the best in the game but it also means you can play defensive sets and run red card trick room like shady did. And that is so fun and freaky. Loved this video!

Fun video idea: Ban one, pick one, but with a twist. Opponent can choose to ban a pokemon, but if they do then the Pokemon you do pick gets a perk. It can be that the perk gets better the more often your opponent bans pokemon. Could be something like: 1. Illegal move 2. Choose ability 3. One opp mon gets 3 moves 4. One opp mon gets no item 5. Reduce IVs on one opp mon 6. Choose what item or ability one of your opp mons get

Cool idea for a video. You have 3 random starters that you both see. You each have to on the count of 3 say the starter. If you both guess the same one then whoever’s turn it is gets that one. If you both guess different ones then the person whose turn it is gets the one not said. Could result in a lot of mind games and fun.

A “then we fight” video idea where you have to guess the starter based on the music being played where you first encounter the Pokémon from their ORIGINAL game debut. Not the battle music, but the area music. This doesn’t include first encountering them against trainers either. For example, you first meet the Sinnoh Starters in Lake Verity or you first meet Poltchageist in Kitakami. Pokémon evolutions who don’t appear in a general area get their prevolution’s area music.
