Yeah, I like the idea of it, but that's not what the original series is about, they should've left RE 5 behind and did RE 6 as horror it's self. Plus the horror in Leon's wasn't actually scary, unless you find a trash can falling over spooky. But as it went on it also panned towards Action as well. In the main story line, RE 6 is the worst game, main story line (including RE 1, RE 2, RE 3: Nemesis, RE 4, RE 5, and finally RE 6) Yes RE 5 wasn't horror thrilled and neither was RE 4, but RE 4 was made as a masterpiece, if you kept dying, it would lower the difficulty without you knowing, and if you did really good, it would up the difficulty, plus none of the developers said anything to brag about it. Only time it was officially announced was when it was in a strategy guide a year after the game was released. RE 5 was when the series kind of fell, but it was a great game to play with a friend and most of the time had a lot to it to keep the player interested without dragging it on. Because basically RE 6 took forever. Sorry for the rant, I'm just upset that Capcom has abandoned the series and made it into a different animal.

RE5 was without question the worst of the series. Nothing they promised came to fruition. Not a single scary moment at all, none of this "light so intense it blinds your character" garbage that they claimed would keep the game challenging while you played. It was just poor, and if you played single player, the AI controlling Sheva was fucking woeful. The fight on top of an active volcano against Wesker really was a stupid design choice as well. I found 6 to be far more tolerable, even though it wasn't a great game - Chris's campaign was a letdown.

But Leon and Chris were. To add everything up for you Leon was in 4,6 and two movies. Chris was in 5,6 and revelations. Jill was in 5, revelations and that side story on the wii. In all that time they covered, Claire didn't appear. There are so many characters that deserve some spotlight apart from the characters that are so horribly overused, Rebecca, Billy and Carlos just to name a few. It's just plain not fair to think that Jill, Leon or Chris should appear in a game before these characters.

My two biggest issues is. How does Jake have special blood? Wesker injected himself in 1998 and this game takes pace around 2013. When did Wesker have the time to settle down? if Wesker first injected himself in 1998 and had a child afterwards. wouldn't jake be like 15 or so? another thing, in RE5 Chris is constantly worrying about his partner Jill. they emphasize the word "partner" throughout the game, but in this game his old partner Jill is completely irrelevant. I'm done with Capcom.

Personally I don’t think Resident Evil 6 is a tragically horrible game. Granted it abandoned its survival horror roots. There’s no denying that. Plus there are a lot of nonsense that happen both in-game and its cutscenes. But it has that special guilty pleasure for many of us gamers. I don’t think it holds a candle to Resident Evil 4 though. Which is my favorite Resident Evil game of all time.

In RE6 we have 2 main campaigns: Jake/Ada & 2 campaigns that have literally no effect on the story: Leon/Chris. No seriously. The main plot is about Jake having cure blood & Ada confronting her doppelganger. Chris is a step behind until he kills Haos - a tacked on boss & Leon kills Simmons; not even the main antagonist. Simmons is the Umbrella enemy: but the real antagonist is Ada's Doppelganger acting as the Wesker of the story.
