Basically the father lied about being the creator to everyone so he could be called God but not DAVOTH, who was the true creator. DAVOTH became angry, wanting to undo all of creation. That caused him to create hell to do his work while he was not in physical form.

And it says in the codex that the maykrs knew the key to immortality, but refused to share it with Davoth because it was too dangerous. They probably sensed the anger and fury that lied within Davoth. So as Davoth killed many lesser gods and warred against the heavens, The Father just wanted to stop him. I'm sure The Father just wanted to keep peace and order and security because he saw that Davoth had a destructive and brutal nature and was too powerful and unfit to be in charge of everything as he sought destruction. So The Father and the heavens are in the right for doing that. Sure it made Davoth angry, but The Father just wanted what was safest for everyone as Davoth easily became evil. So taking on the name of the creator and overseer of the universe was what he saw was the best thing

He then put Davoth's soul into the orb. Davoth was understandably mad, and created Hell so it could fight against the father. It's hilarious how after the slayer takes the key and the whole building literally explodes and crumbles down, the only way it affected the slayer was by knocking him onto the ground. The doomguy was made by the divinity machine and basically given the energy of god which makes him equal to god, but he's the only one able to actually obtain it and the divinity machine is broken now and its power source, the crystal used to open the portal to Immora is now gone. But seeing as god is dead, doom may no longer have the power of god and is just as strong as a sentinel.

This ending sucks. It left more questions than answers for me. Here they are. 1) Is the Slayer really gone? Cause it looks like he drops to his knees and apparently pass out. You don't actually see him being put in the box. The only thing you can see is the lid close. Also if he has passed away, why would you need a seal. 2) What did the Dark Lord mean when he said that he created the Slayer? Cause the Seraphim said to the Slayer the he had the Forsight to create him. 3) If the Slayer was created by The Dark Lord then why was he always trying to kill the Slayer? 4) Why did the Dark Lord make the Divinity Machine? Did the power that the Slayer received come straight from Dark Lord himself? 5) Who are the Wraiths and were did they come from? Where they also created by the Dark Lord also? 6) Did he not know that the Slayer would one day kill him? Why did make him human instead of being immortal? 7) Who is the Dark Priest? Could it be the Seraphim? He knew that the Demonic Crucible was a sword. He activated it in 2016. It's supposed to corrupt people who handle it. 8) Who's going to be the next Dark Lord of Hell? HELL is still there. Only the demons outside of Hell were killed. 9) If the Slayer did pass away. Would it have been from his power being taken away from him when the Dark Lord died or on his own terms? 11) If he is still alive and was released, could he still be able to use Argent energy? Or would he have to use something else?

I think Hayden might've had The Father create a new form for him to transfer his consciousness to (or he did it himself), so that he could guide Humanity. Not sure how The Father could be VEGA unless Hayden was able to take his consciousness and copy it (likely around the same time he put The Father away) into AI form, or The Father did it himself. In other words, they're both Makyrs so they were unbelievably smarter than us, allowing them to do some insane stuff which allowed them to guide Humanity without having to show their true form.

The codex gotten in Urdak reveals that's the Dark Lord's original form. It makes sense the demons fear Doom Slayer considering he's an exact copy of their leader who can annihilate them much like Doom Slayer can.

So basically there exits a multiverse inside of doom and its kinda implied that Domm Slayer is the same one from the classic games but somehow some way ended in another dimension, hell is described as a realm so big and vast in the universe that its basically like a gateway to other dimensions to the point hell even has its own alternative realities upon itself. In simpler words, in THIS alternative reality Doom Guy is the creator of all that got betrayed by his own creations because his ambitions were becoming dangerous to all creation as a whole, The Father seals him away but preserves his life sphere out of compassion. The father then seals himself to avoid harm to himself and oversee the makyrr, yada yada yada, once Doom Slayer appears is that the Dark lord sees this opportunity to manipulate everything so DS destroys the makyrs but instead of giving the Father a physical and vulnerable form, DS destroys the life ball so Dad can rest forever unharmed and instead does the big brain move to give the dark lord a physical form so he can kick his butt into oblivion

Can I just note the implications the ending has for the Doom Slayer? In the Bible, God is said to have created man in his own image. The Dark Lord created the Slayer, who happens to look identical to him. What if the Slayer is Adam? @@edorasmarauder5761 I mean, on one hand ID actually give motivation for why Hell is even doing what it does. It's not just for the sake of being evil like some 2D Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain. It was due by obsession and taking things too far that let things snowball out of control, resulting in this. It's still a weak an poorly cobbled-together reason, but its better than "I'm evil because I enjoy the suffering of others just because I can!" Its actually fitting in a way that Doom Guy/Slayer's main target, his motivations are the same as his: Vengeance, Retribution for being wronged from their perspectives. He is in a way facing a twisted mirror.
