The first game tried to emphasize that Ultra presence was low due to the campaign being a slapdash effort with aid popping up when it could. BR as backup on a mission critical juncture should've been more than enough to tell you this, acoustic. Under the circumstances, Leandros did everything he could. The possibility of an Astartes turning traitor is bad enough without him being a Captain AND suddenly manifesting psyker abilities that Ultra Librarius and recruitment screening alike didn't catch.

who, the villain character? I think the bigger issue as far as I’m aware is that Thousand Sons are still extremely strict about flesh change to the point that they hide even very minor changes (like feathers beginning to sprout in one spot) from each other to avoid being removed from duty. At least that’s how it was in the recent 40k era novel I read. And he’s uh…very obviously changed, haha. Maybe some sects are different though, I’m not a big expert and could be wrong.

Really pushed this idea of the flesh change as something they all still fought against in all its forms, but it’s the only 40k era book I’ve read with them (heresy era being entirely different of course, which I’ve read more of featuring them).

Cause it is a hypothetical future of our galaxy. “The grim darkness of the far future” Takes you through the prosperous “golden age of technology” to the emergence of the emperor to leadership and then the epic tragedy of the Horus heresy which is how you end up with the almost dead emperor upon the golden throne and the imperium vs your various types of chaos space marines.

Your main factions are robot mummies, Orks, space elves, the aliens from Alien, the anime fish people, the forces of Hell (with 4 Satans: a war devil, disease devil, deviant BDSM devil, and Acid trip devil) and the Imperium of Man which is basically Space Roman Empire mixed with the Catholic Church who worship the God Emperor a 12 tall immortal psychic who has basically become a god now. The Imperium Guard are the regular soldiers, and the Space Marines are the super soldiers who were augmented based on the DNA of the God Emperor's various sons.

This isn't really a complaint as no other game has done this and Space Marine 2 kinda captures it in gameplay, but I do wish we got a greater sense of how impossibly fast space Marines can be. Like, if we had a cutscene from a guardsman's perspective, they'd see you as an indistinct, blurring blender of impossible speed, reflexes, and nid bits.

They could tear apart buildings or devastate entire squads with a single swing of a giant weapon. Their speed, agility, and battle precision would be awe-inspiring, despite their size. Decaris Marines (power = 10): Finally, these Marines would be towering behemoths, possibly reaching 35 feet in height. Their physical strength would be so extreme that they could tear apart enemy titans or fortifications with their bare hands. Their armor would be the strongest in the Imperium, rivaling that of super-heavy tanks, and their endurance would make them nearly impossible to kill in battle. Even entire armies would struggle to bring one down.
