This movie was the very first 40k content I ever came across after the original Chaos Gate game. Dated visuals but the voicework carries the whole film so much it brought the graphics to life. The whole film in concert captures the 40k universe so well without trying to Disneyfy it in anyway which Hollywood always end up doing. Yes Space Marine 2 brought me here. @mancamiatipoola3 ай бұрын
The CG in 2009 was much better than this, but i am guessing this was a smaller studio in Canada. There were CG movies in the 2000s that looked better, like Final Fantasy, but still they did a good job with the tech they had at the time. What sells a good CG movie is lighting and dynamic shadows. These were still in their infancy in the 2000s. Still, if you add a brightness correction and some film grain effects and a few filters here and there, this movie could look a lot better. However we have to thank the OP for making the 4k HD version.

@@saladinbob I disagree, it showed how cunning and how vunerable under prepared chapters are against the forces of chaos. Demons are still incredibly hard to deal with for seasoned experienced chapters. It was not a full scale warp rip, only minor demons got through, this was the only major threat to breach the warp. Imagine if there was an army of these things to deal with?. This is also in the early days of the chapters lifes I believe as well, which further establishes how green some of them are.
