that moment there when Psycho Mantis Tells Snake their Futures will not lie together, Kojima had so much planned out, I woud think, such as Jonny marrying her. That time when Hideo said he'd not make MGS4, I think part of him said he'd have to because he had set everything up in the past. Am glad he did because that dynamic between Solid and Meryl was strong in MGS4 full of regret and nostalgia but she understood him until the end.

Nick Was Here Yeah, Twin Snakes is enough for me, but I'm concerned about actually being able to play it since unless you have a first model Wii or GC, you're screwed. Nintendo should put it on the Eshop, but with the current licensing issues with Konami and Kojima productions on top of Nintendo's licensing, we probably won't have that luxury. Now MGS 2 really doesn't need remake (it's still aging well), I'm more concerned about MGS1. Now something I would like is a remake of the first two games combined into one. In this MG1 acts like the Tanker in MGS2 or the Virtuous Mission in MGS3; then the MG2 story acts like the rest of the main game.

Don't you realize that by equipping your fire arms when fighting gray fox makes the fight even more complicated. Gray fox will use his sword and charge right at you if you have your guns equipped!

All the complaints here about the voice-acting, the cut-scenes, the sound-track are all valid reasons and should really have been thoroughly thought of and dealt with before release, although there are some who actually prefer the new take on the game. But I think the compliant that supersedes them all would be the gameplay-controls. It's hard to feel like a super-soldier when you have these incredibly clunky controls.I Really wish they would have adopted the MGS4 controls earlier.

I played mgs2 and FFX on a regular ass sony laptop i got a couple years ago for 400 bucks. Almost never lagged and a ps3 controller works perfect for emulating games.

I dont know really, i had a really good time playing the one on ps1 when i was a kid, mais i think i like this version better. They've improved on everything i believe (music, sounds, cinematics, etc), maybe except for the voice acting sometime, even tho they hired essentially the same crew to do it.

Tbh i prefer the original over this, but the thing I like about this remake is, they used the graphics engine from MGS2 and incorperated it into this remake. That and the M9 handgun is back :3 which makes taking out enemies easier because then you wont need to worry about sneaking up on enemies. Now the thing I dont like about this game is how they went so far as to make them too badass >>; keep it short and sweet like the original lol

I remember when I played this, I was waaaaaaaay too aggressive, setting up cameras, using chaff grenades, and knocking guards unconscious, I even tried hiding in the box at the wrong spot ._.

filipeflower Afraid so. The only way to beat him is to insert the controller into socket 4. Believe me he will start read your controller actions to evade your attacks if you leave it in socket 2 or 3 for too long. Best shoot the Objects he uses to catch him off guard aim for the head for critical hits.

filipeflower Yeah I've collected all the Dog Tags from the Genome Soldiers and from Meryl, Vulcan Raven, Psycho Mantis, Sniper Wolf, Liquid Snake in every difficulty. Even I learned to use my environment to my advantage. Like fighting Ocelot thanks to 1st person view I can shoot pipes that will blast steam in his face without wasting a single shot. I beat him in under less under 30 seconds.

ocelot is supposed to be an expert with torture, so perhaps he jury-rigged the machine out of another electrical device, or found someone with extensive technical abilities to do it for him. as for the holding cells, they could just be re-purposed storage units, or leftover places from a previous exercise that needed cells

I watched a full walkthrough of the original MGS for PS1 & honestly didnt notice any difference in voice acting skills. Gray Fox was the 2nd main villain in Metal Gear 2 (not Metal Gear Solid 2). At the end of the game, Snake killed him in hand combat, and he was presumed dead when the facility exploded. The rest is explained here.

Well, I had really good time playing this on my PC using , I think doplhin emulator ( I was surprised Ive got it working) And the fact it is really good . ( I played MGS1 as a kid too) But still I cant get over that graphic , music, and overall technology advance. Simply , when I start MGS1 I knew I started MGs1 , when I start MGS2 I know Ive started MGS2 , When I start MGS:TS... Ive got uncomfortable feeling, something is missing here... just saying in objective way this game is a good remake.
