I’m becoming a little tired of the ‘how well they have done narrative’ as this squad is capable of 17th or even higher if played the right way. We have strike gold with Delap, Szmodics is capable of double figures and the defence is okay - so something is off and we need to find out what it is or we’ll go down.

When I saw a fighting age bloke pull out a big soft blanket for him and his missus to sit with at half time, I knew the game was lost… utter woke nonsense. The atmosphere was as flat as the performance, felt really optimistic but my gosh I dunno if it’s just me but that atmosphere felt like we were watching a struggling McCarthy team not McKenna. But the performance gave the crowd nothing… they done the job on us, Delap and Hutch got dealt with and it left us with nothing. Greaves shouldn’t have come back in already, Burgess would have handled Matetas physicality. Clarke needs to play the ball forward more, the amount of times we were pushing up the field and then it’s back at Muric within 10 seconds is a joke… just take a risk, we are in the the 80th 1-0 down, you gotta do something, hoofing balls up to no one isn’t going to help either. Jack Clarke done well I thought, Al Hamadi done well when he came on which was a pleasant surprise, Broadhead looked good. Burns still really struggling to make anything happen when it ends up with him down that side. Davis didn’t get much of a sniff. We need to play Sammie and get him closer to goal, we are lacking so much fire power yet we have a 30+ goals a season scorer from that year on the bench….
