Id recommend stopping the interchanging each week of team Captains. I think the offense needs a leaders voice that is constant. Hard to be that leader when each week its someone elses voice being heard. Its obviously not the fix to the issues, it gives me almost "participation trophy" mentaility vibes.

BV is not making personnel decisions so I’m not sure why it’s on him. No HC makes those decisions and I don’t even know how BV would be able to make a decision like playing Robinson. Again when our offense goes up against our defense in practice I’m sure it’s hard to tell who should be playing anywhere because they have to be dominated by our D. I’m sure he started out on the scout team as well, which would be normal with a kid they are trying to change his body and get him ready to be the guy. I’ll keep saying it. I realize there is a large portion of the fan base ready to get rid of BV and there is no doubt he made a major mistake putting the offense in Seth’s hands but now that everyone knows where the offensive side of the ball is I still believe that BV should get the opportunity to fix it next year and if it’s bad again then he needs to go and that’s an easy decision to make which right now it really is t as easy as a lot of people make it. My question is who is the coach that you would go out and hire that is a guaranteed success? We go out and hire a new HC and he also doesn’t work just think about the fact if we get rid of Brent this year we will lose a ton of talent, especially on the defensive side of the ball which is ranked 11 right now and so then it wouldn’t just be the offense needing to be fixed but also the defense. I would rather take that $44 million and spend the hell out of NIL. If we don’t make the right hire next time then we are really really in trouble. I know we are in trouble now but it’s one side of the ball that needs corrected and that in itself would put us where we want to be. In that scenario it took one more year than what we had hoped. We don’t make the right hire next time we aren’t just talking a year. MIT could last for the next 10 years which we saw UT just go through. I do get everyone has lost confidence in BV but when you look at everything outside of the offense, throughout the entire program, BV has done a great job. We need a QB to come in and if JA wants to stay and compete then great but we cannot count on JA anymore and that’s on him. Wherever he goes he is going to want to compete. Who in the country is going to want him?
@christophermorales150912 күн бұрын
You don’t know how the head coach would even be able to decide which RB should play? Then I don’t know why we pay him $7M per year.

OU lost that game in the last 2 minutes. Prevent D. just prevents you from winning. Thomas was allowed to get to the QB one time then they tried to play cover. and Mizzo drove the field with a long pass play if you're attacking the QB that play doesn't have time to develope.

Going all the way back to spring ball, then into summer, and even in fall ball we have been talking about the offense not being able to score and we repeatedly brushed off concerns by saying any offense would struggle if they faced our defense every day… when in reality time has shown that our offense was bad then and now. Coaches gotta see that stuff. Huge blind spot. Huge miss.

The absence of leadership on the offensive side is a major problem as well. JF was supposedly that one leader but outside of him who is it? When things get tough who gets them right? JA is the the one sucking the energy out of everyone so when your QB is the guy responsible for so many problems I’m not sure how you or anyone could survive this situation. Gibson was also a major voice in that room from what we have heard and we know he’s a dog and so the only two leaders on offense have been out the whole season. Does that give us more wins? It very well could have Saturday night and negative emotions and a screwed up mentality in sports is devastating. You have to have confidence when playing ball and with the QB play how do you find any of that?

The number of times Eddie or George asked Josh a question and then the other guy answered and didn't let Josh talk. It's insane. I thought at least part of the conceit of this show is letting Josh have his say about the game. If that's the case, LET HIM FUCKING TALK. You guys had your say for an hour on the postgame pod AND the instant reaction video. Like an hour and a half of mostly you bitching about these games (and rightly so, given these performances). But let that be enough and give Josh his opportunity here. Also, and this also happens on the U40, but I swear man, almost any time Eddie asks Josh a question, he proceeds to explain the question for another minute or so after he asks it, even if it's the most obvious-ass question to answer. Drives me crazy. I love the show(s), but you guys have to tighten it up.

Guys, your emotions regarding OU are confusing your reality of the SEC. I know OU has beaten the best of the SEC during seasons of the past. However, the reality is we play SEC teams weekly. The weak or under-paid programs in the SEC are better than the middle to upper Big12 teams. Recruiting and NIL keeps your program relevant these days. Now having seen SEC teams, does OU have all the conference 1st teamers fans talked about in the preseason? I say HECK NO!! #28 (may be the only player on All Conference team) has lots of tackles but is he SEC 1st teamer? BREATHE!!
