This looks like a very useful bit of kit, even just for prototyping, I can see it saving a lot of time. Thanks for sharing :)

Have you use Spriter? That could be a good one to review (or another like it).

Definitely looks like a program I'll be investing in, being a pixel artist myself. I'm currently using a program called PyxelEdit for my spriting/tiling. Some really good features for tiling and animation. Give it a look!

do you have a solution to tiles not covering some edges between tiles when the port on the window is zoomed in?

Do you plan on doing a action rpg tutorial series maybe something small like a town maybe 1 quest and fighting a mob with a weapon .. and maybe even a title screen etc i see all these game tutorials and i ve learned so many things yet i still dont know how to tie them into an actual title screen or menu properly lol its sad i know.. ive been trying to find a decent rpg tutorial similar to zelda based combat with paperdolling gear or weps for a while now and cant find anything and usually if you do its been unfinished for months or years

We don't have money to be ale to get this potentially useful tool, but... ***** can that Game Maker project it comes with be imported into an existing project by copying over its .gmx files for the sprites and objects, or does its project file have to be the base for your game's project?

Some sound programs that works well for GM:S would be cool!

I think GIMP might help out people without Photoshop, or inkscape if they would prefer an alternate to Illustrator.

Sorry for annoying, but I think many of GM:S users have a hard time with views. What I want to say is that, when making a game for different platforms, the view should be suited the device the game runs on. So could you make a tutorial on making a script or something to adopt the view for every device without stretching the sprites or so... ? Please... ? :)
@LinkFaroreHylian9 жыл бұрын
David Djordjevic What your asking for is nearly impossible to do. Every game is different regardless of the device it's on. Creating a script that would detect what device is used and adjust the view accordingly could be done, but it would be VERY advanced stuff. Your best bet would be to just get more familiar with the GML and understand what kind of game you want to make from the very beginning, planning ahead is everything. After you know what kind of game you want to make and understand how the game will be played you will, by default, know what the view should look like and do to a basic degree. Then all you have to do is code it into your game.

I wanted to request more videos that don't have you in the video literally. I'm distracted easily when theres a person in the video. I'm curious if others feel the same way or I'm just the odd man out.
