Isle of Armor was meant to be part of the main storyline, and Crown Tundra was supposed to be the second half of the post game. The transfer only list for a while had a lot of legends and starters, meaning they were going to be part of the core. All I can say is: If Niantic can put Z Power and the max function into Go, Game Freak’s days are finished.

Knight And SpaceShip first up. It was one tree that is probably fixed by now, stop nitpicking on tiny things in an unfinished game just because you didn’t get ur National dex(which has a justified excuse especially with the new news u haven’t seen). Next it was revealed that they also have to make new models for the game and the 3DS didn’t transfer over properly. Added with the new animations and a 70 man team u can see why there is a struggle to get the national dex in. Also g max and dynamax Form new new models as you can’t just enlarge a model and have it look good.

You are right I've been saying this for years. all game freak does is take, take, take and give you one or two new things per game, and on top of that the new things end up not being in the next game anyway, its insane people defend this shit, imagine how awesome a pokemon game could be if they didn't keep cutting things. things that really are not that hard or demanding to include. A lot of people will say pokemon haven't changed since red and blue but I think it goes a little deeper then that, its not that they don't change its hard to see change because they keep taking things away for no real reason instead of letting them build up over time, I understand some things like random mini games or features people don't like not coming back but no one wanted the battle frontier, mega evolution or pokemon following you removed, these features should be standard as standard as abilities, held items and double battles.

The Pokemon battles are actually the main point of the game entirely. The story and worlds aren't ever that great, especially with the story. Yeah there are definitely no new animations for Dynamax. In fact, some people have suggested that the 'roaring' animation Pokemon do when in Dynamax is new, as well as a 'victory' animation for beating a gym. I looked through footage and they are literally just the special attack animations for the Pokemon repurposed. The same animation is also used for wild Pokemon when they roar at the beginning of an encounter. They match up perfectly. There is absolutely no evidence of new animations made for _any_ Pokemon. What a mess.

To me, Dynamax is just an unnecessary gimmick that GameFreak hyped up to the coolest thing ever. Stick to the pokemon roots of evolution; just gives us more Mega Evolutions! Or better yet, how about expanding on Starter evolutions with that Ash-Greninja thing and give that form of evolution to SwSh starters from trainer bonding and then add more to it with other pokemon and/or Starters.

Most of them are things that were there before with a different paint. Did you play Monster Hunter Stories or Dragon Ball Fusions? In terms of visuals, gameplay (specially exploring and open world presentation) and animation, both games destroyed Pokemon Sun and Moon and they were the first attemps of doing character collecting rpgs. They also didn't have console advantage since they were also on the 3DS. What Pokemon has as an advantage is that you can create almost unlimited strategies with the literal hundreds of available pokemon, combining both old and new... or it was that way. I'm not telling you to like what others like or to stop buying their games, but it's seriously disappointing to have a well thought video like this one and hear a person reach the conclusion of " keep making pokemon games and I'll keep playing". I don't mean to offend you but it looks like a complete lack of a personal standard or an actual genuine interest for the franchise, since as a fan we should express when we don't like something, when it falls short to what we expect they have improved already. I'm not a defender, but this is what I think is the case. GF is tired of pokemon. They want to start something new (and they doing it). Pokemon is a pretty safe franchise, and they knew they don't have to try hard, because the game will be a hit on switch console almost no matter what. I mean, wouldn't you be bored from doing the same thing for such long time? I'm sure many would. And then again, pokemon makes so much money and it helps the company, it's employees, projects and also gives smiles and joy to many people. This game already made millions of people have good time, and for a long time. Humans are humans though, so of course someday we act like egoists. Now, what I said is not a excuse and that we should take it, in contrary, I think we definitely should boycott such behavior. If GF really cared about the game, they would at least try to hire new people, who are passionate about pokemon, drop people who don't have competence or/and passion for developing pokemon gamed, ask fans what NEW additions they want to the game and try out new things. This would show even though they don't care much about pokemon, they still remember the fans. I believe they left Wingull still when flying to simulate how seagulls can "hover" in mid air when the wind kicks a certain way. Because of that, I'm not upset by the stillness, but why not add small flaps when it begins to move in a direction or maybe it adjusts its position in its idol animation by tilting upwards or, you know, SOMETHING?

Also, the gameplay is probably more important when it comes to a GAME. Sure, we'd LIKE a good story if possible but it's not a necessity for a video game like it is for tv shows and books. Also, kids don't like to be held by the hand every five seconds Game Freak! Let us explore and discover things for ourselves! Stop making the post-game feel so empty! If you want to take the RPG argument, how about we look at Suikoden 3, another 3D turn-based JRPG? The game was released in 2002 on the ps2, and has 78 playable characters, many of which have combo attacks with eachother, and their attacks actually physically land on their opponents. And every suikoden game has an almost entirely different cast, meaning they had to create new models, rig them, and animate them for each game. Pokemon needs to stop being annualized, thats what was killing assassins creed, and it'll kill pokemon too. Annualizing doesn't give developers the time to learn and innovate.
