I am very impressed at your ability to deliver new content almost everyday... Sometimes, even two or three times a day! Thank you very much for everything you do to keep us informed of all these awesome tools. This one in particular gave me a flashback, when I was in high school and started doing my own flash animations and mini-games after receiving a copy of Macromedia Flash MX bundled with some PC magazines.

You totally didn't use tweens correctly at all, haha. You're supposed to set tweening on, drag the clip length out, then go to a future frame inside the clip length, then MOVE/SCALE/ROTATE the object and it will add a tweened frame. You don't draw each frame by hand. Also there's a circle tool. This video must have been rushed.
Yeah, he really doesn't know most of the programs that he showcases which is a shame because it just makes him look unprofessional and kinda silly.

I remembered macromedia flash times with this. A recommendation; add the editor and any game frameworks integration.(Maybe it can be possible with an extension system) It can fill level editor-image editor-animation side of the game frameworks. Then believe me, this product becomes awesome. Using a flash-like editor with popular game frameworks would be a great experience.

This animation engine is pretty dope, question though. That code editor, where you can literally just click a thing and it places the base code down for you to edit, is that a thing that other scripting software have for other languages? XD Cause yo that is sooooooooo useful!! It's even organized by what type of line and such it is!

I believe the beta in export video was meaning that the video export feature is in beta, not that it exports in beta format. It exports to mp4

Nah. What they mean by exporting a beta file, is the Wick people tracking down your address and mailing you a Betamax tape with the animation on it.

Pretty cool the things they do have but maann is it a long was from replacing flash. Just poking around for a few minutes and I noticed the pressure sensitivity didn't work, can't alter the pivot point, can't rotate symbols beyond 180 degrees and worse of all, the strokes aren't seamless curves. And then it's browser based so I can't use right click or Alt. Still the core of it looks very promising like being able to have animated symbols within animated symbols. I hope they keep going because I'd love to have a proper Flash alternative.

Does it support/import flash animations or programs? How secure is it?
@igorgiuseppe18624 жыл бұрын
nope, it dont import flash animations. but since its open source, you can hire someone and pay then to add new features to it, including support for importing flash animations... or you can code it yourself if you know how to. keep in mind that, flash is not open source, so you will have to make reverse enginering on it before you can import anything, and that means waste a lot of time/money, fortunatelly many people already started efforts in reversing flash, unfortunatelly no one finished such efforts, so depending on the animation/version of flash that it was done, you may have bad results when trying to import it... as for the security, since its open source you can pay anyone to take a look at the code to see if its safe, or take a look at it by yourself (if you know how to code) i didnt looked my self, but i would say its quite secure, since it run in a browser its already sandboxed, and since its open many people may already have looked into the code and they can tell if something was wrong.

igor giuseppe huh? The definition of a web based application is a piece of software run on a web server normally almost always accessible over the internet. I was letting the OP know that Wick can be run like a desktop app, stored locally on his machine. I’m happy to be proven wrong but I don’t believe the OPs comment was bemoaning software that is rendered in a web-browser.

You cant sketch several circles and expect it to automatically know how to connect between the two sketches. I used flash animation a lot before. So i'm familiar with this technology.
