The nicest shot I ever received was from the flash of one of the pocket photo cameras we had in the 90's. With the 2 AAA cells and the electronics make the whistling sound while recharging the flash capacitor. I wanted to extract the flash from the cam, because I had some plans for it unrelated to taking photographs. That went wrong. But it was just a split second. Very high voltage, very low amps.

That in my eyes was a win you took it from a power on light to sound and game working from a recap nd I bet if you had a screen it would be fully working too and very playable. How did you select the ceramic capacitor ratings? The ceramic capacitors don't achieve the same result for the circuit as electrolytic caps when being exchanged 1:1. The ceramic should be rated for much higher voltage when you need them to supply energy according to their nominal capacity. It sounds strange, but it is an experience from retro computing guys.

The kit was from Retro Six buddy, I'm assuming and hoping given that he knows his stiff, all the ceramics were of a value that covered the needs of the board.

OK. So we don't really know. It is a non-issue in many cases. But sometimes stuff is strange without any obvious reason, e.g. the sound or distortion in video signal (which is not a topic on Game Gear).

@@marcianzero_yt I'll definitely bare this in mind. I did actually go through all the values in the raw footage. Part of me wishes I'd have kept it in but there's a balance I need to at least try to keep. Appreciate your support buddy
