Ended up breaking two of the rings. Really needs to be made of a stronger plastic and the steps need to lock into their notches. Ended just throwing the thing away and going to bed frustrated…

The top ring was frustrating. Wouldn't go over the wings. Then I noticed there are tabs on the ring. 4 to be exact. Line then up like in the instructions and it slid on easy. The 4 tabs are on the outer corners of the ring. Hope this helps.

This is a brilliant design. It took me about 1.5 hours to assemble mine. This video was very helpful. My version did not have protective coating on it, and it came with a couple of spare parts, which I did not need but gave me some confidence in case I broke something. I had to restart three times when I installed one of the main posts backward, one stair backward, and when a stair came loose as I installed the last two stairs. You have to go very slowly and very carefully. Lastly I could not get the top ring to slide all the way down into place. It came close, but just would not slide over the wings on the main posts and click into place. I pressed as hard as I dared. The plastic was creaking. But it is wedged on tight and it works properly. I may glue it in place or just leave it. Lastly it feels fragile. You can't just throw it into a box for transport. It will probably stay in my game room.

Had to throw away the entire thing after the plastic rings broke. Note, the steps/stairs at the bottom kept falling out of place once I would get near to finishing, and no the rubber bands did not help. Overall cool idea however the materials really need work.

It definitely takes some finagling and some breaking in to get it to work consistently. I basically assembled mine 3 times looking for ways to engineer some consistency, but by the end of the third rebuild, apparently I’d broken it in enough to start working well on its own. NOTE: on the rings that slide over it, one pair of slots is slightly wider. It doesn’t mention that anywhere and that’s why everybody struggles with them and breaks them (I broke one too before I realized this, luckily they give you one spare). Make sure the slightly wider slot is the one you’re sliding onto the slightly wider “click” rail and it will slide on just like the video.

The steps kept falling when I tried to insert #4. Until I started using the rubber band early. After I put the second step in and then E3 I rolled it to the lowest installed step and each new step rolled it up. Once I got to the sixth I added the second rubber band halfway below. This seemed to stabilize the lower steps well enough to get them all in. The second ring was deceptively difficult, though. The press areas need a little more emphasis, it took me three retries to realize I had the thing off by a 1/6th rotation. Nearly broke it pushing, fortunately I backed off and re consulted the instructions and realized I wasn't picking up on the little flaps. Otherwise I finished and did some test rolls. I have those "Rounded Square" D4s so I can't comment on how it would work for the normal Pyramid style. Of course the question will be how long it will last.

It difficult to assemble at start, but if you know the technique how to take off sticker and put the stair it a lot easier. I like it, please do more some product like this.

Is it suitable for other that D6 dices? Like D20 or D12?

Thank you for your question. The Crystal Twister works with different type of dice like D6, D12, D10, D10% and D20. If the dice are too light however (like a D4 or some D8) they will have difficulty falling down the stairs.

Peeling off the Protective film is an enormous hassle. It's on there almost like a sticker, so you'll likely spend 30 mins to an hour just trying to peel it all off.

30 minutes is an understatement, I do not have fingernail and it took me hours until I realized I could use the long pieces to scrap the film off

@@TheSebsong Yeah I have to amend the timeframe, it took me roughly 2 hours. What helped me speed things up was getting something like the flat side of something (In my case a knife since I didn't have fingernails either), and scraping the edges off the protective film just enough to grab a bit of it and pull it off (Just like you!).

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Removing the protective film is one thing, the tower can be difficult to assemble as one slight move and one flap will drop and you have to restart.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, the more attempts you take, the more dull / blunt the product, causing it to easily fall apart, cannot attach firmly, the stairs are always fall down with the slightest touch, IMPOSSIBLE TO ASSEMBLE
