Maybe a multiplayer format where visitors can kick you out if your own home but you have to convince another player you're a human to team up. More ideas I had and am having on that multiplayer mode: -Visitors can only attack when you're alone or outside. -Two votes, player or NPC, is enough to kick someone out. -Some NPCs have weapons, but almost almost always a visitor will hide and lie about their weapons. A trustworthy non-visitor NPC will defend that room's windows from entry and give you information (or not) in their personality (or lack thereof) -You can only communicate with other players through similar dialogue trees as we have already, but the more nights you survive on a given board the more interesting and context sensitive options you get. -Cults and FEMA send packages of "rations" and "supplies" you have to determine if it's worthwhile to open or use. -Too many non-visitor NPCs or players in a single building makes it a "hotspot" for visitor and Cult activity and naturally incentivizes lots of lone wolfs and really well communicating teams as well. -If the visitors or a cult or whatever get you while you're alone, there's a small % chance (like 1 in 5 let's say) of becoming one of them and spending the rest of the round or match or game in a spectator mode of any and all visitors, and every time they get a kill on a player or friendly NPC you get to then choose a visitor to take over. (counter strike bot style, y'know) No limit on how many players can get turned into a visitor, but no one starts as one, you always start fully human. I really like the game I won't be disappointed if it's more world building and twists like it already is. I'll be thoroughly impressed if they beat me to some of those ideas or incorporate them later. I literally commented a few days ago "I hope the grumps have this on their radar, ghoul grumps is soon" and now they're playing it lol

From what I've seen via other playthroughs you indeed HAVE to let everyone in your first couple playthroughs because if you have no one then either the smiling visitor or the FEMA agent will kill you instantly. However in the demo the visitors are all set people, no variations, so you can play through multiple times to get the best ending once you know exactly who is a visitor to only let in the human guests instead without worry. Also if you kill a visitor it'll leave behind a bloody corpse but if you kill a human character it'll be a body bag left behind as well, another easy tell for future run throughs.

Definitely play this again when it’s fully released. It’s fascinating and haunting. Also very sneaky to make it about “destructive solar flares” when we’re currently in real life, actually in a solar maximum, and large solar flares and CME’s are bombarding us. The good news is that our magnetosphere protects us from any harmful radiation like what the characters in the game are experiencing.
