They don't use specials, Dan doesn't know what dashing is, neither of them know how to spot parries, Dan doesn't swap weapons but still dropped money on having a second weapon, and the one truly saving grace is that they revive each other consistently.

You can use the Supers when the cards next to your HP are full (at least one), which could be important against bosses. Also, it might save you some time if you just shoot with the roundabout in whatever direction you land since it goes back and so you don't have to.

They beat Goopy as their first boss in only 4 tries. The only person i've seen do better is Dingdong and he practiced the game beforehand. Grumps are better than we give them credit for.

they relied on reviving for some extra hitpoints though. Might be tricker in the later stages, although by then they'll figure out the nuances more most likely.

It's more impressive for a lone player to die around 4-6 times without any prior knowledge of the boss as opposed to co-op, due to the fact that reviving is something you can do in co-op, and where you can't do it at all in single player. Even so, they did pretty good for co-op.

The grumps are playing in 2 player mode and can rescue each other from death, basically giving them an extra 2 or 3 hit points each. I think they'd perform a lot worse if they played single player or a 2P mode where you aren't given an opportunity to revive a dead player.

I love how Dan start out largely inept. Three episodes later he's the one saving Arin every five seconds, and the one who kills the boss rofl. Couple things I wish I'd known when I started this game: 1. Smoke Dash is extremely useful. Get it from Porkrind. 2. You HAVE to beat the bosses on Regular to get Soul Contracts, and you need Souls Contracts to finish the game. 3. You can only use Specials and Supers when you have cards next to your HP. 4. The cards fill up depending on how much damage you do to enemies. 5. Specials only use up one card, but your super requires you to have all five filled up. 6. You get your first Super from the Mausoleum near the fish lady in the overworld. 7. Super is activated with the same button as the Special. 8. Your first Super is the only good one. Energy Beam does a lot of damage, but Invincibility only lasts for a really, really short time (not worth it), and the third one is hard to control. You have to move two characters with one controller.

WW1 had the brits vs the Germans with the sky battles, and the germans conducted zeppelin raids over cities on the east coast of britain, and these were scary because the zeppelins were garbage at aim so they often missed the military bases and hit civilians. The zeppelin over Edinburgh is a famous piece of art that inspired so much horror

Cause Arin is unattentive as fuck. Dan has some patience (and general playstyle of "I don't really want to get hit" compared to Arin's "I'll just do as much damage as I think is possible")

Dan actually cares about the games they play and giving a good show. He can manage pulling off Paper Mario's superguard on tough attacks, while Arin can't manage basic controls in some games.

Dan seems to be learning the boss's patterns better than Arin, but when it comes to the controls Arin seems more competent. Dan doesn't seem to be aware, or care, that he can dash/turn into a small plane, and it's imperative that those mechanics are utilized.

And yet they still haven't figured out how to super or use EX shots. Because somehow arin read the entire tutorial, didn't bother to try it, and completely forgot all in the span of less than a minute lol.

Arin did use a bunch of bomb supers during the Hilda Berg fight, so maybe they'll figure it out eventually.

I performed a big attack multiple times during the tutorial, no clue what an EX attack is though since the tutorial doesn't mention it.

It's not actually his fault. Watch the tutorial again, the button for super/EX was blank because somebody F'ed with the controls beforehand. Arin just assumed that they hadn't unlocked them yet.

its 14-15, and PS4 has 15. Theres D-PAD: Up, Down, Left, Right Character Buttons: X,B,A,Y (I think, idk since I play PS4) R1 R2 L1 L2 Left Analogue stick (L3) Right Analogue stick (R3) Touchpad(Dont know if XBox has this)
