thanks for that splanation. as usual I feel like the romanization's wrong, and it should be odaburu rather than odoburu. the ah sound is closest to urr, and usually what they use in loanwords that contain it.. of course the french sound is oo like in foot, so not sure WHAT that should be, maybe even oduburu. but then you'd have to do that thing with a tiny u kana placed after a d kana..

What an episode. Took me back to the days when: A) The Grumps chose games based on how fun they could be instead of how many views they would get B) Arin possessed genuine happiness and enthusiasm for his work

It also took me back to the days when I'd go to the video store and pick out a random obscure NES game to rent.

I like that they’re taking turns, like brothers playing a single player game and didn’t have anything else

started this thinking i would be getting nightmare fuel, and then was met with one of the most charming NES games I've ever seen

I used to play this all the time as a kid. I grew up with the original Nintendo It was my grandfathers originally. I played this and the first 2 castlevania games. This was by far my favorite but no one ever owned /played/heard of. 10/10 for art and the game itself. Not overly easy either.

Dude, the stage not-menu being an actual menu is amazing. I'm sad I never got to play this. It looks legitimately fun!

So, the game developer for Panic Restaurant is Kenji Eno. He’s also a music composer, so he made a lot (if not all) of the music for his games. He’s made quite a few games. If you want more games he came up with the he helped create, a few of those would be Time Zone, Kyouryuu, Flupon: Space Biology, Oyaji Hunter Majong, Enemy Zero, and Short Warp. He’s made a few more. You guys seem to really enjoy this game, so I did a bit of research. Not that I think you’re going to see this message, but it would be neat.

Thank you for noticing! I thought I was the only one noticing that! The fact he made this cute game and then moved to horror, mystery, sci Fi, and symbolism is quite interesting. Kenji Eno was an interesting guy. Rest in peace Kenji Eno.

We had this game growing up but I never played it because the cover art is so cursed, but I'm glad I got to finally see what this game was all about because this is charming as hell. The art direction is so well done, always enjoy hearing ya'lls enthusiasm for stuff like that. Overall really enjoyed this ep.

After watching that ad (and smiling cuz' Danny is finally back on it) I have to ask... Did Arin get shorter or Dan got taller? Because they're starting to look the way animators draw them...

Arin is an artist/animator, and every artist I know has terrible posture from being slumped over desks all day. So he's probably just slouching.
